April Favourites ♥

Is it already that time again? Really? Wow time is going so fast these days! Month favourites are one of my favourite posts to write as i get to blab on about how much i love products, which is a specialty of mine.  I've loved this month as I've been on Holiday and I've worked lots of hours. And best of all? Spring Weather has finally started! I can't explain in words how happy i am the weathers getting nicer (well, better weather than we normally have!). Spring just makes me feel like wearing brighter, bolder colours and rocking the pink and coral tones!

This month I've been absolutely loving my Essie Nail Polish in "We're In It Together" which i received in my GlossyBox this month. Its a gorgeous light baby pink. This is only my second Essie Polish and i can already tell I'm going to develop an addiction to them! Its only the last few months I've even been doing much with my nails as before i never bothered as they always get ruined as work. This colours just too cute and 4 days in, still no chips (Which for me is fantastic as i always seem to chip my nail polish!).

Almost every day this month I've been reaching for my "Rimmel Wake Me Up" foundation over all my other foundations. I normally have a bit of trouble finding foundation light enough for me on the high street/drugstore but this foundation works perfectly for my skin. As i work very early mornings, this foundation has been a lifesaver by changing my dull skin into something glowing and pretty! Decent coverage and easily build able too!

Earlier in the month, i did a *ahem* little haul from Boots and by little i mean, i went in for one thing and ended up spending £40 and leaving without the product I'd gone in to buy! Typical me, that is. But I love Soap and Glory products, their Bath products and body lotions have always been my favourite so i thought I'd give their cosmetics line a try as I'd heard some good things about the products. They had a deal on where if you spent a certain amount you got a free eyeshadow quad and well, I'm a sucker for deals! I just can't help myself! I picked up the Supercat eyeliner pen in Carbon Black and i think I'm in love. Its beyond pigmented with a great brush that you can get any thickness line you'd like. It dries quickly and doesn't smudge and even better? The staying power. I swatched it on my hand in store at 10am and by 10pm it was still there and i had to scrub it off in the bath! Big thumbs up from me!

As I've just said, i love Soap and Glory Body Butters and Lotions but i think my favourite would have to be the "Sugar Crush Body ButterCream" for its beautiful scent. I love anything lime scented, it's my favourite scent and the fact the product works so well at moisturising my skin just makes it into one of my must have products. And its so thick and creamy, a little bit goes a long way!

And last but not least is the Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion. As many of you might know i went on holiday earlier this month and picked up a very slight tan. When i came back i went in search of a "gradual tan" lotion that can help moisturize my skin and i found this. I'm extremely pale so despite the fact the bottle says "gradual and subtle" the first time i used this product i saw a difference. Not a bad difference, i wasn't orange or anything but i had a slight sun kissed colour to my skin. It smells beautiful like Apricots and that's just the icing on top of an already amazing cake to me!

What products have you been loving this month? Tell me in the comments

NYX Haul& Swatches ♥

NYX UK were having a promotion the other day, if you spent £25 on line you got free delivery! Well, you know me, I'm a shopaholic and I'm always lusting after their products so i didn't need an excuse to purchase some lovely NYX goodies!

Looking at this picture, its not hard to tell what colour i love to wear!
I've only ordered a few things from NYX before and this time i as really excited to get more as the products i have tried, I've loved! I've heard youtubers and beauty bloggers alike talking about how amazing this brand is and i have to admit, they're right!
I picked up a few bits that have been catching my eye every time i go onto their website for a "browse" which means hysterically crying and wishing payday as closer. The "Mega Shine Lip Gloss" I've been wanting to try these for ages after hearing so many beauty guru's saying how great they are! I picked up four and LA~ LA~ is probably my favourite! They smell beautiful, like fake cherries!  I also picked up some blushes to add to my ever growing collection and I've fallen in love with both of them, the shades i purchased are "Bourgeois Pig" and "Rose Garden" i was going to pick up "Pinched" but it wasn't in stock so i will have to keep checking to see when its back! Both of the blushes feel lovely and soft. I picked up one Eye shadow trio and one single. The Trio is called "Casablanca" and features a matte medium grey, bright pink and dark grey/black. The shadows feel very soft and I'm looking forward to using these! The single i picked up is in "Silver" and true to its name, it's a silver! Its got a fair amount of shimmer but its very pigmented.
Swatches of Eye Shadows and Blushes
Mega Shine Lip Gloss Swatches
Excuse the mess in the background, i was so excited to swatch these! As you can see, my arms are very freckly! But the products all seem to have good pigmentation and the formulations seem good too, the lip glosses are not too sticky and the powders don't feel chalky whatsoever! I'm very pleased with this and can't wait to try more things from NYX.  I'm also very happy with the size of the products, nothing is small and all contains a lot of product.

NYX UKs website is www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk if you want these products!

Do you like NYX Products? Have you tried any of these? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Hair Dying: My Top Tips♥

I've been dyeing my hair for about nine and a half years now (wow, that sounds so long when i write it down!). I've been so many different colours from black, to bright fire engine red to my current shade of blonde. I personally prefer to dye my own hair as I'm a bit freaked out with people touching my hair so most of these tips I've picked up from trial and error!
We all know too much hair dyeing can be very damaging to your hair but if treated well your hair can stay silky smooth and lovely no matter what!
Red Hair - 2010-2011, Black Hair 2004-2009 2011-2012, Blonde 2012- Now!
Putting Vaseline on your Forehead, ears and neck stops you getting dye in those place - We've all ended up with hair dye on our skin and it takes a very long time to wash off! But next time, rub Vaseline onto the areas dye might get that you don't want colour on!
Keeping Your Hair Healthy - Right now, intensive conditioners are your best friends. No matter if you've dyed your hair once, twice or a hundred times it's still damaging. Too much dyeing without looking after the condition of your hair will make it dry and it could even end up cracking off! Aussies 3 Minute Miracle is amazing and even comes in a "Colour Treated Hair" variety!
Treating your hair - Every three weeks i super deep condition my hair. All i do is make sure I've put lots of my favourite intensive conditioner on and wrap it up in a towel and leave it on for a couple of hours. When you wash it off your hair will be extra silky and shiny.
Always wear Gloves - Hair dye can damage skin which is why you should always wear gloves and you don't want hair dye stains all over your hands, do you?
If you have blonde hair, Purple Shampoo's are Perfection in a bottle - Now I'm blonde I've been working on getting my hair into better condition. One of the things I'm trying to do is bleach my hair less. Purple Shampoo's are tone correcting shampoo's for dyed blonde hair, they literally take out all those orange/brass tones from your hair leaving you with light blonde locks. The Best bit? It doesn't even damage your hair! If you don't fancy a purple shampoo, toners do the same thing and also don't damage your hair!
Maintaining Colour - So if you want to stop your hair colour from fading too fast there are some steps you can take. Avoid washing your hair with anti-dandruff shampoos as these generally will take away the most colour. Don't wash your hair too often as this will make the colour fade much faster. Rinsing your hair with cold water after conditioning can help keep colour in for longer and also can help make it look shinier (Cold water actually helps close up cuticles).
Don't condition hair before Dyeing - Using a conditioner before you dye your hair isn't a good idea as it can stop the dye from taking hold.
If you're dyeing your hair yourself, for the first time always do a skin test - If you've never dyed your hair before or had a dye used ever, it's always best to do a skin test to check you're not allergic.
After you've bleached your hair, Blow dry it - When you've washed out the bleach from your hair, blow drying it can help make the hair absorb more of the dye as its much more porous.

Do you have any Hair dyeing tips? Tell me in the comments!

Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Boots Haul! ♥

I'm really not sure why i was cursed with no willpower but i can't seem to walk into Boots, Superdrug or Debenhams without buying something! I like to use the excuse of "I'm looking for the perfect product" but my bank account doesn't think that's a good excuse.. But I got a few things from Soap and Glory as I've yet to try their cosmetics range! I'm rather excited about trying these out as I've heard a lot of great things about their make up. I originally only went in for body moisturiser and left with a lot more than that! I even picked up my very first Essie Nail Polish.

I've been needing some new products for my skincare routine for a while as i don't like to use the same products for too long and I've always liked Clean& Clear. I picked up the exfoliating daily wash and the blackhead clearing daily scrub. I've already used them and so far I'm enjoying them and my skin feels super soft. I picked up a bottle of Garnier Body Summer Body gradual tan as this summer i refuse to be the palest person around! It smells lovely though, like peaches, yummy.
I Also picked up some bits from the Soap and Glory Cosmetics range as well. I Love S&G for bath products and couldn't resist trying these out as I've been wanting them for ages. At the moment, S&G Make up is on offer at Boots where if you spend £12 you get the Lid Stuff Eyeshadow Quad free. I chose the "Glow All Out" Highlighting face powder and the "Super Cat Extreme Carbon Black Eyeliner Pen" which i swatched in store and took AGES to rub off in the bath, so that's a plus! I picked up a Rimmel Blush I've had my eye on for a while too in "Live Pink" which has gorgeous golden shimmer in it and last, but not least i got myself my very first Essie Nail Polish in "Vanity Fairest" which was just too cute not to buy!

Have you bought anything recently? Do you like these Products? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Holiday& General Update! ♥

Sorry i haven't posted anything in a week guys! As some of you may have realised i was on holiday and only got back this morning very early! We all need to have a break and this was so well deserved after 5 months of getting up at 4am for working everyday! I love Tenerife as its just so gorgeous out there and the weather is amazing! Me and the boyfriend both had lots of fun and literally spent 90% of our time there laying on sunbeds with cocktails!

Now, who doesn't love a good old Blue Lagoon?

Now, I'm pretty annoying about suncream! My poor boyfriend got nagged to death about putting it on everywhere and how often. As i'm really pale i do burn but because i'm quite freckly anyway, i've come home about five times as freckley than i was when i left! Still, i managed to get a bit of decent colour for once and i'm pretty proud of myself!

Went and watched a lot of football in the Irish Bars of course! So many Man Utd games on its lucky i had my dads top to wear! I love watching football in the pub, such a great atmosphere!

We even got out on the catamarans to see the pilot whales! Awh, they're so gorgeous and they were coming up so close to the boat. I'd been on this trip before but i don't remember it too well but it was breathtaking if not a little too hot for me! My boyfriend loved them aswell, they are super cute!

Posting will be back to normal from now on! Not long til my giveaway finishes either so get entering :-)

Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Holiday Travelling Essentials ♥

I'll admit it right here, I'm terrible at packing. I either pack far too much or don't pack enough! So, i go away on Saturday with my Boyfriend! Packing has been so confusing as well what do you take, beauty wise?
I mean (sadly) i can't lug my whole make up collection through customs!

But we all know of some beauty products that are essential if you're going on holiday or travelling!

Suncream - Personally, for someone as pale as me this is the first thing I'll pack as if i forget it I'll look like a tomato for the next few weeks! Taking good care of your skin now really helps for later on in life. But I'll be coming back looking like a giant freckle nonetheless..
Moisturisers - Sun bathing can really take a lot out of your skin. Especially if you get burnt, moisturisers help keep the skin from flaking and going dry in general.
Make Up Remover Wipes - i Um-ed and Ah-ed about whether to bring a bottle of make up remover or wipes before i settled on wipes. I don't know about anyone else but i always easily reach the maximum weight on my suitcases! So, this takes up less weight/room! Not that I'll be wearing any make up during the day...
Basic Make up Kit - Everyones "basic" make up is different. I know people who won't leave the house even to pop to the shop and i know people who rarely do more than mascara!
Personally, my basic make up kit comprises of
 Foundation (Rimmel Wake me Up),
Powder (MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural),
Lip products (Kate Moss Lipstick, Rimmel Apocalips, Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush and Rimmel Lipliner), Concealer (Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection)
Blush/Bronzer (ELF Studio Blushed/Bronzed Duo)
and Eye Products (MUA Heaven and Earth Palette and Maybelline Volumizing Mascara)

To me, these products are enough to get a few different looks out of but not "too much" to take. Pretty sure my boyfriend will disagree and make fun of me though! I'll only be wearing make up in the evenings though!
But I'm so excited guys, I'll make sure to take lots of pictures :D

Other Essentials:
- Razors
- Hair Brush and Hair bands
-After Sun Lotion

What are your travel Make up Essentials? Tell me in the comments!

lots of love,

Products I Couldn't Live Without ♥

We all have those "Holy Grail" products that you can never run out of or all hell will break loose! I know if i ran out of mine i would be in a very bad mood to say the least! Everyone's products are different as everyone has different needs! Personally, mine is a variety! Some skincare, some make up and even some hair care!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone-Correcting Shampoo
Now, I'm going to be doing a whole post in the next few weeks all about blonde hair dyes and products but as this product works so well i couldn't not put this in! As my hair is not naturally blonde (if you couldn't tell!) i have to resort to getting it out of a bottle! As I've done a lot of damage to my hair in the past with the amount of times I've bleached it, I try not to keep bleach on for long these days! I've tried quite a few purple shampoos in my time and this one, without a doubt, works the best! If you don't know what a purple shampoo is, its a shampoo that takes the copper/orange tones out of blonde hair so you're left with lovely light blonde locks!
Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in Shade 101
I've said it before but I'll say it again; Rimmel is easily my favourite drugstore/high street brand when it comes to make up. This is from the Matte Collection that Kate Moss has and as we would expect the collection contains some very bright reds but i was more drawn to this pink personally! Its a gorgeous colour, its definitely a "My-Lips-But-Better" product for me! Its a gorgeous dusty, nude pink and as the name suggests, it is matte! I've never been a fan of matte lipsticks before as i found them drying but this one doesn't make my lips feel dry at all!
Nivea Creme
Chances are, you've tried this in your life. It's been around for ages! As someone with dry skin, i rely on moisturisers more than anything else in my skin care routine. This product is a bright white, thick cream that feels almost sticky. On the skin it rubs in and leaves the skin very moisturised. I use this on my face and also on my lips when they need extra TLC. You can use it all over your body and its very well priced, this tub i have cost me £1.50! Bargain!
Again, I don't think there's a person on Earth who hasn't tried Vaseline. Everyone gets chapped lips from time to time and it really does work. My lips are so dry they crack often and are really sore too so i rely on my Vaseline and Lip Balms! One quick slick of this over your lips and they'll feel better. I like to put some on before i go to bed too and i wake up with super soft lips!

Hopefully, My Blonde Products Post should be up in the next two weeks if its something people would like to read about! Tell me in the comments if you'd like me to do the post about them! Anyway, these are my HG products!

What are your Holy Grail Products? Tell me In the comments!

Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Men's Grooming Secrets...Revealed!

It’s the age-old stereotype that women spend hours grooming and preening, while men are considered ‘feminine’ for spraying on some deodorant once in a while. However, in recent years many men are embracing a healthier and more groomed lifestyle; meaning those stereotypes finally seem to be breaking!

To find out whether men and women really are equal in the grooming stakes, I decided to conduct a little research. Firstly, I asked women how long they tend to spend showering, doing their hair and applying makeup…and just generally getting ready!

Most women suggested they spent around 20-40 minutes getting ready for an average day, and extended that time by around 20 minutes if they’re preparing for a night on the tiles! I believe this time is pretty realistic when you consider the application of makeup, blow drying and straightening hair, etc.

I asked men the same question and I found the results to be much more surprising. When preparing for a night out with their mates, most of the respondents suggested they can take anything from an hour to an hour and a half to get ready!

I never expected the times to be this extreme, but it just goes to show that more and more men are choosing to spend time on their appearance than ever before. While the majority of men may not indulge in makeup (yet!), many are now styling their hair, taking care of their skin and even managing their body hair. My own boyfriend spends a lot of time getting ready, about as long as I do! Doing his hair takes him longer than it takes me to do mine and mine is a lot longer! Seriously and I thought I took ages getting ready!

Personally, I see no problem with men grooming more! If they want to look their best and feel it too, who are we to judge? I know plenty of guys who dye their hair, pluck their eyebrows and go to the sunbeds. I think it's always been seen as a "girly" thing to do until recently, but only good can come from this!  I also happen to know plenty of men who use a wide range of skincare products to make their skin look its best.

A large number of men are even leaving the comfort of their bathroom to be groomed professionally in a salon. Indulging in everything from manicures to spray tanning, the number of men frequenting beauty parlours appears to be rapidly rising.

This dedication to beauty does seem to be coming at a price though. First4Lawyers conducted a survey to see how many men have been injured whilst at a salon, and the statistics are pretty shocking. Up to 10% of the men who responded to the survey claimed to have been injured whilst having their legs waxed, whilst others told tales of injury during haircuts, tanning and other waxes. Ouch!
What’s perhaps most surprising are the stark differences between men and women’s injuries, as women appear to be injured much less. Don’t worry men, I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it soon! Practice makes perfect!

My Top 5 Spring Lipsticks!♥

Well, I don't know about anybody else but the fact the weather is finally looking a bit nicer has made me think it is finally spring! I love spring almost as much as i love summer, its full of bright, beautiful colours and blue skies! In the Spring months i always end up having much brighter make up than any other season as well, there's just so much colour in spring....

So as you can see, a lot of different Brands! From MAC to MUA. I'm not a snob and i'm always checking out every drugstore/high street brand as well as the high end brands. I've found HG products for less than a fiver!

L to R: MUA Shade 5, MAC Sunny Seoul, Maybelline Color Sensational 422 Coral Tonic, Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Peach Parfait and Rimmel Kate Moss 101
MUA Shade 5
I like this lipstick a lot as its a very soft, girly colour and its very hydrating on the lips. Its very shimmery and the colour may be slightly sheerer than others but is easily buildable! The colour is a lovely light baby pink with very light silver shimmer in!
MAC Sunny Seoul
Now, this lipstick has easily become my life! I could see myself reaching for this everyday because i just love the colour so much! Its a gorgeous almost barbie pink with amazing pigmentation on the lips. Its slightly shimmery and is very long wearing.
Maybelline Color Sensational Coral Tonic,
Easily one of the brightest shades i own! When i saw this in the shop i fell in love with the colour. I love coral in Spring. The formula is very hydrating and there is no shimmer in this lipstick.
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Peach Parfait
If you're like me, when these beauties came out you got so so excited! A moisturizing lip colour with good pigmentation and a wide range of colours? Count me in! I have several shades of the lip butters but i do love this nude-ish colour especially for when i'm at work! The lovely gold glitter makes it all better aswell!
Rimmel Kate Moss 101
Rimmel is, again, probably mu favourite drugstore/high street brand. I really can't fault their products! And Kate Moss is a massive style icon. Her iconic red lips made so many people more confident to wear brighter shades. I love this dusty pink which is still quite bright. Its matte finish so a gloss always looks great with it too!

I definetly have a problem with buying lipsticks! So addicting!

March Favourites ♥

Another month, another favourites post! These are one of my favourite posts to write as well, i get so excited to write them that throughout the month i write down any products I'm loving just so i remember! This months been very cold but from the looks of the weather today, which is really sunny actually, i think we're actually going to see some sun this year at last!

Rapunzel Rapunzel Extensions
I love long hair. I always have and probably always will. Sadly though my own hair isn't actually long enough for my liking! But last year i made the amazing decision to buy some new extensions and I've fallen in love with them! I use clip In's as semi-permanent ones would not be practical for work... sadly! The extensions i bought are 18 inch and are a full head. I bought them from Rapunzel Rapunzel last July.  The hair comes with the clips already attached and ready to wear. The extensions come in 6 pieces. I personally bought Euro hair, whereas they do have Remi available also, but I've had no problems with my set! They were £39.99 for the full set but i think they are £34.99 currently!
John Freida Sheer Blonde Tone Correcting Shampoo
For someone like me who achieved Blonde hair from a bottle, purple shampoo is pretty important. I've done a lot of damage to my hair over the years and i know it wouldn't be a good idea to be bleaching it more! I've used a lot of purple shampoos and this one is easily the best one I've tried. Purple shampoos take out the orange and copper tones from blonde hair, leaving it with actual bright blonde without the need for bleach with the added bonus of it not damaging your hair! I love John Freida hair products anyway but this just helps with any copper undertones!
Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry
Now, I'm the first one to admit, i do have a bit of an obsession with lip balm. I'm always applying it and always have one handy in my bag wherever i go. But when i found out the BabyLips weren't in the UK (at least for the foreseeable future) i was so upset! I'd heard so many youtubers raving about them. I actually bought this off amazon for an alright price but it was definitely worth it! Its my favourite smell, cherries, and it does help bring moisture back to dry lips!
Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Buttercream
I'm a sucker for bath products, I'm not going to lie. If anything smells great that's a huge bonus for me! Soap and Glory are a brand i love and always love to buy! They're worth the money and all of their products, in my opinion, work so well. I love body butters and lotions as i have very dry skin and this product certainly does help retain moisture while making my skin smell so sweet!
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Rimmel is fast becoming my favourite "drugstore"/high street brand. The quality of their products is so good and I'm looking forward to whatever they release next! The Wake Me Up foundation is a foundation that's got good coverage, easily build able and feels very light on the skin. It helps "waken" up dull skin from fatigue and really, getting up at 4am doesn't do my skin any wonders! This product does help though and i do get compliments at work saying my skin looks very healthy which is always a plus, right?!
Nivea Smooth Nourishing Hand Cream
Hand creams never used to be my thing. I tried some and they were all greasy and it put me off quite a bit. I got this hand cream from a Secret Santa at work and I'm surprised by how much i like this product! It smells lovely like macadamia and doesn't feel greasy at all!

I currently have a giveaway on by the ways guys! Click here to enter!

What are your favourites this month? Tell me in the comments!

lots of love,
Rosie xo
