For me, a Highlighter is an essential product, It makes the skin look glowing and helps to draw attention away from problem area's. You put a highlight on the places that the light naturally hits: collarbones, middle of your forehead, above the cheekbones, the chin and on your cupids bow. It can really help finish a look and makes you look that little bit more glammed up!
I love all three of the Highlighters I'm talking about today. Today i found out how hard it is to take a photo of a swatch of highlighter! So difficult but so worth it...
Elf Studio Blush in "Gotta Glow"
I've always sworn by this. The powder is an off white almost yellow in the pan and leaves a soft golden glow to your skin. I've found this also looks lovely as an inner corner highlight on my eyes. The formula isn't flaky and there isn't much fallout. It cost £3.75 for 4.75g which is the smallest highlight I'll be talking about today. The packaging is alright, the Elf Studio Packaging is all black. The only problem i have with this product, is how easily it shatters, which happened to me when i was putting it away once and has made the process of using this product slightly messy!
Soap and Glory "Glow All Out" Luminizing Face Powder
I picked this up a few weeks ago, while the Soap and Glory cosmetics were on offer at Boots. I'd been wanting to try some more highlighting products and saw this and fell in love. Its a beautiful pink almost coral colour in the pan which transfers well to the skin. It will set you back £11 for 7.5g which is a large size product. This leaves a subtle dewy sheen on the skin but is probably more suited to those with slightly darker skin than me, as I'm so fair! The product is extremely long wearing so you don't need a touch up throughout the day. Soap and Glory packaging is always cute with silly and fun names.
Make Up Academy "Undress Your Skin"
I kept seeing so many bbloggers talking about this and i eventually caved and purchased one to see what all the fuss is about. MUA is a brand that to me, are rather hit and miss, and i hadn't tried anything from the new "Undressed" collection. At £3 for 7.5g this is the cheapest but also happens to have the most product. Always a plus! The colour is a very light iridescent pink which has a fair bit of shimmer. It's slightly more obvious than the previous two but applied with a light hand it could still be very subtle. I thought this product was very well suited towards paler skin tones. The formula really surprised me, i expected something chalky or flakey but it's actually very soft almost creamlike. Very Impressed!
Have you tried these products? Which one is your favourite? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
