#LDNBloggersParty ♥

So yesterday was a busy one! I had to get up super early and get ready to be stuffed into a train that had like 50 people standing up just in my carriage! Couldn't even hold on to anything so i kept falling over, oops!

Myself and Ellis - The sun was in our eyes!
But i got to London and finally got to meet the lovely Ellis from Ellis Rose. After traipsing around for a while we had a nice pitcher to share in a Wetherspoons we found. It was lovely to meet her as we'd been talking for ages and i love her blog :-).

Hectic travelling to the venue as London Pride was on but thankfully we got there in the end! First thing we did was, you guessed it, grab some cocktails! We both had a lovely day and met loads of new people and had a lot of fun. After the event, about 10/15 of us all walked to Selfridges because you can't go to London and NOT go to Selfridges, can you?! I was good though, only picked up one thing! Me, Ellis and Angelica then walked to a massive Boots and walked around for ages and ages talking about products and the event. After all of us leaving with out purses a bit lighter, we decided to search for food as we were all starving by this point! We went to Mcdonalds and ended up having to sit on the floor (yeah we're beautiful!) and have a right old natter while looking through our goody bags and shopping! Then we found a Superdrug and couldn't resist MORE shopping!

I met so many lovely girls and had a great time! Special thanks to Scarlett for organising the event. Thanks to Ellis, Angelica, Jess and Sophia for all making me giggle and just being all around lovely!

Now for the things i picked up while in London! Despite me telling Angelica and Ellis, i needed more lip or eye products i went home with 99% face products! D'oh! I popped to Illamasqua and bought my first ever product from them. I picked up the Sophie blush as i couldn't resist! It's just beautiful. I love the packaging, it's so different! Now onto Boots... I picked up the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream with Salicylic Acid, which intrigued me so i just had to try it! And as Boots had a "Buy one get second Half price" offer on, i couldn't buy just one thing! I picked up two of the new Bourjois Cream Blushes, Healthy Glow and Rose Tender, after hearing so many great things about them from other bbloggers! I've not used a cream blush before so i really want to start trying! I also picked up the Revlon Photoready Concealer, as i used to love stick concealers and wanted to try some new ones! Last but not least, i picked up the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe, I love my MAC paint pot so wanted to try more of this kind of product and it was too lovely a product to resist! In Superdrug, i was good and only picked up two things. The new MUA Blush shades, Lolly and Marshmallow.

Anyway, i had a lot of fun and I'm super glad i made some friends! I was so nervous beforehand and i really shouldn't have been! I completely forgot to take a picture of my face/outfit so i can't do an OOTD/FOTD :-(

Did you go to the LDNBloggersParty? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Emotional Brilliance ♥

Whats the first thing that you think when i say "Lush"? For me it would be either bath bombs or Bubblegum. Until recently, i didn't know Lush even had a cosmetics range. I've always loved Lush stores, they smell beautiful, are full of beautiful colours and there is always something new to try.

Lush' Cosmetics range, Emotional Brilliance, has had me interested ever since i first saw it instore. I eventually caved in and got a few bits from it to try out.

I have two of the eyeliners "Success" and "Motivation". Success is a gorgeous light silver with lots of shimmer whereas Motivation is a two-toned peacock blue. Both can be used in two ways, wearing sheer or opaque. Opaque looks awesome, as the colours are super vibrant but sheer looks really flattering too as the colours become a lot softer and the shimmer really shines through. I also picked up a lipstick called Passionate. The lipstick is a very bright pink fuschia shade which is super glossy looking and stains the lips. When it catches the light it almost looks purple! These are all £14.50 each.
Top to Bottom: Success Opaque, Success Blended, Motivate Opaque, Motivate Blended, Passionate, Charisma Skint tint Blended

Charisma is a skin tint and this little tub should come with a warning saying "do not swatch as i do literally tint your skin" just for idiots like me! This product i'm not so sure of as i'm pale and pasty and lovin' it!  Charisma is £12 a pot.

I think the packaging is pretty cool, it doesn't look like make up, to me anyway! In little glass vials with black lids that look like pipettes. As always with Lush, everything is handmade and fresh and  natural.

I'm a bit in the middle about the Emotional Brilliance line, as the products are alright but not anything i would use on a daily basis. Also, they're quite expensive for a small amount!

Have you tried anything from Emotional Brilliance? Tell me in the comments!

I ♥ Drugstore Make up Tag! ♥

If you've been reading my blog for a while now, you'll know i love high street/drugstore make up. While some brands can be very hit and miss, most are just bringing out so many great products at such amazing prices i haven't needed to pop into Debenhams or John Lewis Beauty Halls recently!

I am forever in Boots or Superdrug and it is so impossible for me to try and walk out without buying at least one thing, i don't think I've ever done it! The whole point of this tag is to answer the questions and you never know, you might read about something and try it and end up falling in love with it!

What is you favourite drugstore make up brand?
I say this so, so often but Rimmel. I think the quality of their products is comparable to a lot of high end companies but the price difference is astonishing!  I did a whole post on my favourite products of there which you can read here.

What are your Favourite Face, Cheek and Lip products?
For face I'd say Collection Lasting Perfecting Concealer as i couldn't live without this little tube! Cheek i'd probably have to go with my Rimmel Lasting Finish Blush in "Live Pink" and for lips (ahhh this is so hard!) I'll say my Revlon Lip Butters as they're so moisturising!

What is your Least Favourite Product?
Oh god, the ELF Basics Lipsticks. They're so drying!

What is your best Make up Bargain?
I'd say getting my Essie and OPI Polishes from Fragrance Direct as they're so much cheaper!  I love them but £8-£13 a bottle? No thanks!

What is your favourite "underdog" product? (Something you love that gets overlooked!)
I love my NYX Megashine Lipglosses but no-one seems to talk about them much! I understand though as they're not that easy to get hold of in the UK without ordering online!

A Drugstore product that is over priced?
I'd have to say the L'oreal Infallible Foundation as it's £12.29. When i think of drugstore foundations i think less than a tenner! I reviewed this product and you can read that here.

Show your best drugstore dupe?
Everyone knows about it but the MUA Undressed Too palette is a really good dupe for the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette. A lot of the MUA Products are dupes or copies of lots of higher end brands but this palette is my favourite out of all the dupes i've found!  I even have a whole post dedicated to them, which you can read here

Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
Hmmm, I'd have the say the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlight as it's a good product but really didn't wow me! There was a time where every blog post i saw was raving about this, it's a good product but not as good as others were saying in my opinion!

Have you done this tag? Leave me a link in the comments!
Lots of love,

American Beauty Wishlist! ♥

If you, like me, watch a lot of the beauty guru's on youtube, you'll have seen some brands being raved about over and over again. The most annoying part? We don't sell them here! You can get them online from ebay, Amazon and similar places but sometimes I'm wary of buying make up online as I'm not sure how shades will match up to my skin!

Some products, you can't help but get product lust over. I wish more brands would make the leap over the ocean and sell in our shops.

1 - Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush - Apart from the obvious fact that this looks so freaking adorable, I've heard so many people saying how great this blush is. It's supposed to help "boost" your mood but i doubt that, but those little hearts do make me want to smile...
2 - TheBalm Meet Matt(e) - After loving my TheBalm Jovi Rockstar Palette (which i reviewed, here) I've decided i want to try more of theBalm's palettes. I don't have that many matte eyeshadows and i think the colours in this palette are so pretty!
3 - Covergirl and Olay Eye Rehab -this is a cc cream/concealer that just looks super cool, in my opinion. It comes mixed in with a hydrating serum so for all those dry skin girls out there like me, this sounds great!
4 - Covergirl ClumpCrusher - This is one of those raved about products and I'm always on the lookout for a new mascara!
5 - EOS Lemon Drop - I'm a lover of lip balms. These EOS ones come in so many flavours and they look super cute too!

Whats on your American beauty wishlist? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Soap and Glory: Sugar Crush Body Buttercream ♥

Its not a secret that i adore the Soap and Glory shower/bath products. Although i may have recently wrote a not so good review about one of their cosmetic products, that's the only product I've tried of theirs that i haven't loved (you can read the post here). The body products of theirs always work so well, smell great and come in cute packaging with adorable names. They have so many different products available from shower gels to skincare. Personally, i think they may be my favourite brand for anything body related!

Now, let me tell you this now. Sugar Crush is my favourite Soap and Glory product I've tried. It's scent is easily my favourite one from a body butter/lotion too. With a scent of freshly squeezed lime how couldn't it smell good enough to eat? Lime is my favourite fruit ever and i wish more products used it.

It's smells so sugary sweet on the skin and the scent is around for quite a while. I like my body lotions or butters scents to last for a while, as in I'd like my skin to actually smell of the product! Hours after applying this, i can still smell this on my skin, which is a massive plus to me as i find a lot of the lotions I've tried, the scent doesn't last very long!

As i have very dry skin, when i look for a body lotion, it better help hydrate my skin. I get super dry skin all year round and it's always nice to use a super thick product that really does feel like it's being absorbed and is moisturising. I even used this on sunburn, when i got back from my holiday a few months back, and it did feel very soothing and stopped my skin from peeling (ew)!  Thankfully, it absorbs into the skin very quickly, so you don't have to stand around for ages waiting for it to dry!

For £10.50 you get 300ml of product, which is a very generous amount. I haven't seen many other similar products in that size. There are two other products with the Sugar Crush scent: the Sugar Crush Body Scrub and Sugar Crush Body Wash. I'd recommend those too, as they obviously smell beautiful too!  I'll continue to use this product until i run out (it hurts me to even type that) and repurchase it!

Soap and Glory Lid Stuff ♥

I'm such a huge fan of the bath and body products from Soap and Glory, so a little while ago while i was having a browse in Boots, i decided to pick up a few things from their cosmetics line as i hadn't tried anything from them yet. I picked up a few products that i hadn't heard much about at the time.

I love eyeshadows and have recently had a massive clear out of my eye products. I'm slightly fussy when it comes to eye products as i know what i like! I like pigmentation, non-creasing and i want it to last a long time. The Lid Stuff comes in 3 shades, "Smokey Dokey", "What's Nude?" and "Off the Wallflowers". I picked up Smokey Dokey as i love doing dramatic smokey eyes.

Soap and Glory claim this product to be "fabulous flawless-finish, super colour 8 hour wear eyeshadow (that won't flake, won't fade, won't crease)". It's four shades are Diamond Dust (a brilliant white), Chine (a very light lilac), Black Gold (a dark grey) and Smokin' (a shimmery charcoal). Black Gold is the only matte shadow in this palette while the rest are shimmer. Each eyeshadow is 1.5g so in total you're getting 6g of product for £10. As for the wear time, I'd say i was able to wear them for about 4/5 hours before they started fading but with a primer they do easily last the 8 hours.

Overall, i like this product but i had a few problems with some of the shades. I found Chine to be closer to an off white on the skin, rather than the lilac in the pan. It is slightly lilac though but to me, it's too close to the other shade Diamond Dust. I was really disappointed by this as I'd been very interested at trying out the lilac for a springtime look. My only other slight problem is with Smokin' which is a pretty colour but takes a few swipes to pick up enough colour to get any opacity.  A good thing about the shadows is they feel very soft and i noticed no fall out after using this.

I probably wouldn't repurchase this product as it hasn't impressed me enough. I had high hopes for this as i love the other items from their cosmetics I've bought. I would still like to try the other shades they offer for Lid Stuff.

What do you think of this palette? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love

The Balm Jovi RockStar Palette ♥

The other day on payday i was thinking which products should i buy from my wishlist. I have  so many products on my wishlist, i don't think I'll ever get time to buy them all. But one palette that's been on my wishlist for as long as i can remember is the Balm Jovi Rockstar Palette.

I wish The Balm was sold in the UK more as all they're products look so cute and I've only heard great things about them. The palette has 12 eyeshadows, 2 cream lip/cheek products, a powder highlighter and a powder blush. Solid Gold, the highlighter, is actually their product Mary-Lou Manizer renamed and the blush Don't you want me? is their FratBoy Blush/Eyeshadow which to me is great as it means i can test them out before i buy them as separate products.

The packaging is super cute, very vintage and just generally great. It's slim and compact, so doesn't take up much room. It even has a little mirror, in an adorable heart shape. The packaging feels real sturdy which is always a plus as i hate flimsy packaging. I love the bright colours on the packaging and i love how if you open up the bottom compartment, it gives you some idea's for looks you can create with the palette, styled to look like the Billboard charts. Each of the eyeshadows names are a funny take on real bands/rockstars names, which to me makes this palette even better.

As for the quality of the actual products themselves, i was beyond impressed with this palette. All of the eyshadow's have amazing pigmentation and felt so velvety smooth to touch. Some of the lighter colours like "Adiago" and "Third Eye Blinded" were very hard to photograph as they're quite close to my natural skin tone. You get 4 Mattes: Adiago, Allegro, Moderato and Presto. While the other 8 are shimmer. So far, my favourite shades have been Metal-ica, Alice Copper, Adiago and The Stroke. It has a lot of different shades in there from neutrals to a dark navy with blue shimmer.

Disco Disco (Mary Lou Manizer) is a gorgeous golden highlight, that when blended out looks so beautiful when it catches the light. Don't you want me? (FratBoy) is a gorgeous matte pinky coral which is brilliant for a flush of colour on the cheeks. The two lip/cheek products are lovely but Vanilly is easily my favourite out of the two and comes up more of a Hot Pink on the skin rather than the Red in the pan.

I'd definitely recommend this palette to anyone else who loves to try new looks and likes to experiment. I can't wait to try more from The Balm Cosmetics now as this palette has really impressed me.

Have you tried anything from The Balm? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Best of Brands: NYX!

Last month i did a post called "Best of Brands: Rimmel" (which you can read here) and thought I'd turn it into a bit of a series! Today, I'm talking about NYX. Best of brands is where i talk about my favourite products from one brand and explain why i love them.

Can you tell i really like pink?

NYX is a brand i never tried anything from until fairly recently, thinking that we didn't sell it here! Turns out we do and a few months ago i made a sneaky purchase from their website and ever since then, I've been loving them. Their prices are pretty good, keeping in line with drugstore/high street brands.

Firstly, i love their powder blushes, of which i currently have two: "Rose Garden" and "Bourgeois Pig". They have so many shades available and at £5.50 for 5.2g of product it's a lot of product for your money. They blend beautifully and come in loads of different finishes. The Megashine Lip Glosses are literally my favourite lip glosses at the moment. They're highly pigmented and super glossy and shiny (as the name suggests). They feel sort of sticky but in a "I'm-staying-on-your-lips" kind of way not an uncomfortable sticky. My favourite shade of these is La~ La~ which is a gorgeous coral colour, perfect for summer.

The Megashine Lip Glosses are £7 each. The Soft Matte Lip Creams are a new addition to my collection but I'm already loving them. They are super matte but not drying at all, which is great for me as i have really dry lips! The colour pay off is great and they last for hours on the lips. I bought mine in a set called "Give it a little Love". The set costs £12 while they retail each for £5. The Single Eyeshadows are £4.50 each and I've fallen in love with these too. They're really pigmented, blend easily and come in so many beautiful colours that one day I'll end up owning them all. Lastly, i have a product that is very hyped about in the bbloggers world. The Jumbo Eye Pencils. They're seriously great. I have two shades "Milk" and "Blackbean" and love to use them in a few different ways. They make a good eyeshadow base as the "Milk" shade is great for making colours look even brighter and helping their lasting power. I love using "Milk" as an inner corner highlight too. They're creamy, pigmented and you don't need to apply a ton of pressure to get the product.

I'm going to have to make another sneaky order from them soon too as writing up this post has made me want to try more from them! Bbloggers problems, eh?!

I do have other products from NYX cosmetics but these are my absolute favourites. I'm still testing out some and there are others on my wishlist too. I'd recommend all of these products and the brand itself as i think their customer service is top notch!

What are your favourite products from NYX? Want to request a brand for a Best of Brands post? Tell me in the comments!

Urban Decay Naked2 vs. MUA Undressed Too. ♥

I don't think there is a blogger out there who doesn't know the MUA Undressed Too Palette is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked2. I was a bit sceptical when i first heard this myself, i love my Naked2.

Each palette contains 12 neutral shades, mostly shimmer or metallic but with some matte. The colours are very similar.

Urban Decay are a brand that i love. I fell in love with them as soon as i used my Naked2 for the first time. I've not tried much else from them as they are high end and i don't often buy higher end stuff as I'm always skint! I'd heard so many beauty guru's go on and on about how amazing this palette was so in the end, i had to pick it up! I wasn't disappointed. The colours are gorgeous, they're long lasting and feel very silky. The palette is £36 and comes with a double ended brush (that i really don't like!) and a mini Lip Junkie Lipgloss. This works out at around £3 per eyeshadow, which is great for high end!

If you've been reading my blog for a while now, you'll know i love my MUA Pro Palettes. They're a fantastic price, the shades are gorgeous and they're amazing quality. At only £4 this palette is a great cheaper alternative to the Naked2. The shades are very similar, but it's obvious this is supposed to be a dupe for the Naked2 just like how the Undressed palette is a dupe for the Naked. I particularly love the shade "Fiery" in this palette. The shadow last a while and feel very soft to touch.

The price difference between these two is massive, the Urban Decay Naked is £36 whereas the MUA Undressed Too is £4. Blackout (from the UD Naked2) is a lot more pigmented than Corrupt (MUA Undressed) which is my only problem with the Undressed Too palette.  Both palettes lasted long without need for a primer and they both feel very soft.

Overall, I'd recommend both of these palettes. The MUA Undressed Too is a great cheaper alternative/dupe for the Urban Decay Naked2 as it is £32 cheaper.

Have you tried both these palettes? Which one is your favourite?
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

NYX & Superdrug Haul! ♥

If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know when it comes to shopping, i might have a slight addiction. I'm terrible! I'm supposed to be saving money but there are so many things i want and it's very hard to restrain myself when in shops or browsing online.

If you also follow me on Instagram too, you'll have seen this photo that i uploaded the other day and i asked whether anyone would be interested in reading a haul post. Turns out people did want to see it so here we are!

So, the other day it was payday and i was browsing around the Internet (always dangerous!) and decided to buy a *few* things off my wish list. NYX is a brand where I've just loved everything I've tried from them and always have on my wish lists.  I picked up 3 of the Soft Matte Lip Creams that came in a set called "Give it a little love". These normally retail for £5 each but the set of 3 is £12, so it's a pretty good deal! The three shades are "Addis Ababa", "Antwerp" and "Tokyo". Tokyo is a lovely peachy nude, Antwerp is a bright orangey coral and Addis Ababa is a bright dark pink. I've never been one for matte lip products, assuming they'd all be drying but lately I've been trying to get myself into the habit of trying new things i wouldn't normally try! I'm happy i bought these however, as they're beautiful pigmented and not drying.  Next, i bought the Photo Loving Primer in the Anti-Redness variety. I've been looking into getting a green primer for a while now, as i have a lot of redness on my face and then i stumbled upon this! At £11 it's a pretty good price and i can't wait to see if this works out. Last from NYX, i picked up one of the Black Label Lipsticks in "Hot Pink" in the Sale section of the site. It was £8 but reduced to £4 which is literally a very bright, hot pink!

I headed over the Superdrug website too, which is always bad for my bank account, and ended up buying a fair bit. Oops. Anyone who reads my blog will know how much i adore the MUA Professional Eye Palettes. I had to pick up a couple that i either had used up or never owned before. I picked up the Undressed palette and the Undressed Too Palette. Both are amazing quality for a really low price, with beautiful colours. I really cannot put into words how much i love MUA's eyeshadow palettes. I also couldn't resist buying some new make up brushes so i had to grab the Real Techniques Core Collection as well as the Expert Face Brush. The Core Collection contains 4 brushes: The Buffing Brush, The Contour Brush, The Pointed Foundation Brush and the Detailer Brush. I tried them that day and so far, I'm pretty impressed with them. The Expert Face Brush was the one i was most excited to try out though, with so many people raving about it. I love my Sigma f80 but want to see if this brush will give it a run for it's money. The Core Collection costs £20.99 and the Expert Face Brush is £8.99. Last, but not least i picked up two Barry M Nail Polishes. The first is the Nail Paint in "Blueberry Ice-Cream" which costs £2.99. It's a lovely light blue colour that looks gorgeous with a tan! The Other polish was one of the new Confetti Effects. I've not really been into this craze recently with "Nail Effects" but this one is one i can live with. The shade is called "Bubblegum" and is a mixture of blue and white confetti which looks lovely layered over Blueberry Ice-cream.

I will be reviewing all of these products soon and so far, I'm liking them all! If you'd like to see an specific reviews, comment and tell me which products you'd most like me to review!

What have you bought this month? Tell me in the comments!

Colours of the Rainbow Tag! ♥

I don't know about you, but I'm obsessed with tag posts! Whether it's reading them or writing them they're just so fun! I hate not knowing about people when i read their blog as you like to know what kind of person they are before you take their advice! I also like letting my followers know what I'm really like as well.

The Colours of the Rainbow Tag is a really fun one but a really hard one at the same time. I mean, i have like no products in certain colours! And with others i have about 40 of the same colours, oopsie!

I chose the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in "Big Bang" as it's just such a beautiful shade of red. Its super bright and stays put for hours too! I'm so predictable, who else knew i was going to choose a bright red lip product?!

Its official, i have absolutely no orange products! The only product in my collection that had any orange was my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and that's the packaging! I'm not sure if that counts but I'm using it anyway! I love this foundation and have a full review of it here.

Maybelline The Volum' Express Colossal Smokey Mascara is my yellow product and once again, it's for the packaging! I love Maybelline Mascara's as they're my favourite high street/drugstore brand for mascara's! Not my favourite of theirs but it's great for adding lots of volume to your lashes.

Again, i have very few Green products! Like even the packaging but one product i have that is most definitely green is the NYX Studio Primer,  Green to get rid of any redness on your face and to leave a smooth canvas for your foundation!

This is a fairly new product for me as the other week i really wanted some bright blue nail polish and realised i didn't have any! So, i bought the Barry M Nail Paint in 306 Blueberry Ice-cream! Its a gorgeous bright blue shade that's opaque from just one coat and lasts about 3 days with no chipping without a top coat!

My Models Own Grape Juice Nail polish from the Fruit Pastel collection is my purple product. It's a lovely pastel purple almost lilac and it's just so pretty on the nails! I love the Models Own Polishes that I've tried and can't wait to try more!

My pink product is my Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in Rose D'or. These little pots are so cute and smell so lovely, like perfume. The colour is lovely on the skin being subtle and very shimmery.

I couldn't find anything multi coloured in my collection though, so i had to miss it out! :-(

This was so much fun and took me a while to choose what products for each colour! I love doing tag posts though so keep an eye out for anymore!

Have you done the Colours of the Rainbow Tag? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Benefit They're Real Review! ♥

Its not a beauty blog without a review of Benefit's They're Real, is it?

Everyone, including me, went rushing to the nearest newsagents when they found out ELLE were giving away a free sample of Benefits "They're Real" Mascara with an issue of the magazine. I'm not one of magazines as to me they care way too much about sponsors and i end up disagreeing with pretty much everything they say but i did go out just to buy this!

The sample is 4g of product and it comes in a miniature "They're Real" bottle which is super cute. You can actually buy this sample in Boots for £9.50! Which is one of the reasons so many of us rushed out to buy the magazine as it was only £4!

I love Benefit products, from their cute names and packaging to the actual quality of their cosmetics. It's the UK's No.1 best selling mascara and i can see why. The brush is great for separating lashes and i love the bristles on the end which makes getting the lashes in your inner corner so much easier! with just one coat of this one my lashes i could already see a huge difference whereas with most mascaras, i always have to have a few layers on before I'm satisfied. This gives me the length it promised and hasn't made my lashes clumpy or spidery (literally, my biggest hate when it comes to make up!). It's a nice formula that isn't dry at all so don't worry about flaking and it takes a lot to get it off! That's probably my only problem with this product as it didn't budge with a make up remover wipe but that just proves it's waterproof.

Never realised how hard it is to take a picture of lashes before! One coat of "They're Real"

I'd definitely repurchase this once I've used up my sample size which is actually lasting me a long time. My lashes were full on touching my brow bone i was amazed! The full size 8.5g is £19.50.

What do you think of the Benefit They're Real? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Shopping Your Stash! ♥

I don't know if it's just me but some products in my make up collection tend to get a bit neglected. I feel like I'm always trying new products and the older ones kind of get pushed aside almost! The problem is, we all have our favourite products as well so we reach for them a lot more often. I'm also a huge shopping addict, i love trying new products so the more i get the less i can use anything.

Shopping your stash is an easy way to get use of everything in your collection, so you don't end up neglecting products in favour of your favourites. Sometimes i go for a rummage through my storage and find a product i forgot i had and fall in love with it all over again! Take out the products you feel you should use more and put them somewhere else, somewhere you know they'll get used. I like to keep a little make up bag on my make up table, so i see them when I'm doing my make up and remember to include them! I've fallen in love with my Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters all over again from Shopping my Stash!

You also get that feeling you're trying something new without having to spend money! So, from now on, once a week I'll be doing a post about what items are in my "Shop My Stash" box and if I'm loving them. I think this is a great way to make use of products that keep being over looked in your drawers!

This week I've had seven products in the "Shop my Stash" make up bag. First, my NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny which is a great bronzer for us pale girlies! I'm not the biggest fan of bronzer, I'm learning to embrace my ghostly pale face but this is great for adding some definition and colour to the skin. The ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion is a lovely bright pink blush that i forget to use as i just have so many pink blushes! NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk is a beautiful creamy pencil, that is easily one of the most pigmented white products I've encountered. Perfect for the inner corner highlight! Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait has probably been neglected as I've been gravitating towards bright pinks recently for lips and it's a lovely darker pink with golden glitter. Maybelline Color Sensational in Coral Tonic is a beautiful, in your face coral colour. It's super moisturising and I'll definitely end up using this more if the weather improves! Next, I have the L'Occitane Brightening Hand Care 15ml Sample which i received a while back in a beauty box, which I'd like to try out. I've always been using my old hand lotion but I've recently run out of that so I'll give this a try before i buy a new one! Lastly, My Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm I've always loved this but I've been reaching for my Vaseline a lot recently! This lip balm has the cooling effect and i think it works wonders so I'm looking forward to some very kissable lips!

My Go To Eye Products ♥

I don't know about you but I'm the kind of person that if i find a product i love, i use it often.  Some products are universal, they can be used for a natural "no make up" make up look or a more full on face for special occasions. I feel naked without make up on my eyes! I feel so weird if i go out without eyeliner or mascara!  Eye products are also what i like to try the most as it's the area of the face that you can really see the difference between make up or no make up days!

I feel like I'm forever trying out new products but i still have my favourite products that i reach for 9 times out of 10 if i have a specific look in mind. I love my neutral eyeshadows as they can create any look from natural to a full on brown smokey eye!

Swatches of the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette

My MUA Professional Heaven And Earth Palette is easily one of my favourite beauty buys of all time. To me, MUA as a brand is very hit and miss with me loving some of their products and absolutely hating others! There never seems to be a middle ground. The palette contains 12 beautiful neutral shades. If you don't like shimmery eyeshadows then this isn't the palette for you! It has everything from a champagne colour, perfect for the inner corner, to dark reddish brown which looks great in the crease. At only £4 as well, it's not a bank breaker. The quality of the shadows is lovely, with all feeling smooth and silky on the lids with minimal fall out. The Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad in "Smokey Brun" is another product i reach for often. With 4 gorgeous neutral shades with a little bit of shimmer (can you tell i love shimmery eye shadows?) this little baby is a great buy. With a lovely gold and a gorgeous dark brown for the crease it's easy to create a smokey eye look with this quad.  At £6.99 it's a pretty good price for 4 highly pigmented eye shadows. The MAC Paint Pot in "Bare Study" is easily one of my favourite products I've bought from MAC. The product is definitely an all-rounder, as it can be used for loads of things like as an eye primer, as an inner corner highlight or as a simple base for a natural look. Bare Study is a beautiful beige/champagne colour with soft golden shimmer. I love pairing this with my Naked pigment for a soft and subtle glowy look! This lasts absolutely ages as a little bit of product goes a very long way, honestly i use this at least 4 times a week and I've barely made a dent in mine yet! It's very pigmented and glides onto the lids smoothly which for £14.50, i think is a bargain! Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara is my all time favourite mascara. It makes my lashes look long and very thick without making them clumpy. I think Maybelline do the best mascaras in the drugstore/highstreet at really affordable prices. The slight curve in the brush makes it easy to apply the product to the inner lashes. Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer is the best eye shadow primer I've tried so far. It does help keep my eye shadow on longer which is great as no-one wants to to be bringing it all out with them for touch ups! It helps boost the colour for those shadows that need a little bit of help and doesn't feel greasy on the eyelid. The Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen has become a Holy Grail product for me. It's super pigmented and doesn't come out watery and grey like some liquid eye liners do! It dries quickly so you don't have to worry about smudging and the nib is easy to use however thick you'd like the line to be. Super impressed with the Soap and Glory Cosmetics line so far. All their products have been lovely and i can't wait to try more!

L to R: Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad and MAC Paint Pot in "Bare Study"
These are the eye products that i end up using/reaching for every single day! All are great products that i really couldn't recommend enough.

My Best Budget Beauty Must Haves! ♥

Is there anything better than a cheap product working better than you thought it would? I'm no snob, regardless of price, if i like the sound of a product I'll try it! Some of my favourite products are quite cheap to buy. Today's post is all about my favourite budget beauty buys -although we all have different idea's about how much "cheap" is i decided to only include products that cost less than £10.

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette
12 lovely neutral shades for £4! I love the MUA Pro palettes but Heaven and Earth is easily my favourite. Filled with 12 beautiful shimmery shades it's easily a great palette for everyday looks. You can get any look from natural to full on brown smokey eye! The shadows feel soft and not chalky on the lids and blend easily. Seriously, if you haven't tried this product, go out and buy it!
Rimmel Stay Matte
This is another much talked about product in the bbloggers world. It's the perfect powder for setting your make up and it doesn't break the bank as it's only £3.99! It lasts for hours and is great for an touch ups throughout the day.
ELF Eyeshadow Quads
These little beauties are from the regular line and are only £1.50 each. The two i have here are "Drama" and "Butternut". There is plenty of choice of different colour combinations and the shadows themselves are so pigmented it's unreal! They don't flake and for only £1.50 they're perfect little additions to your make up collection!
E45 Moisturising Lotion
I have really dry skin and I've tried so many moisturisers and none of them seemed to make any difference to my skin. As a last resort, i tried this thinking "if this doesn't work, nothing will". It helps hydrate my face without making it feel greasy or heavy and helps make skin feel a lot softer too. At only £2.55 this to me is perfection!
For me, Vaseline is that product i will never go a day without using. It's the first thing i put on in the morning and the last thing i do before i get into bed at night. It helps stop my lips from cracking as they are prone to do and make them super soft. I've yet to find a lip balm that works better than my Vaseline and at only £1.99 a tin it's a great product!
NYX Powder Blush
I love NYX Blushes. They are super pigmented, come in so many colours and you get a large amount of product for a great price! Two i especially love are "Bourgeois Pig" and "Pinched". They're only £5.50 and they're a lot bigger than any drugstore blush i've seen!

These are my absolute favourite beauty products all under £10! I love loads of products and could have had more but i didn't want to have 400 products in a post!

Would you rather? Make up Edition ♥

Found this and it never ever fails to make me giggle!

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

Oh dear :-( either sounds horrible but probably my palettes and eyeshadows as i don't wear them everyday but without mascara or eyeliner i look so weird!

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
never be able to cut it again. I love my hair long and i can't stand short hair on myself!

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I love both! Coral at the moment though, so spring/summery!

If you had £1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Make up probably.. It would help clear my wishlist!

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
eyeliner as lipstick! so many colours that would look great as a lipstick and it'd be no different that just using a lip liner all over your lips!

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Um, we don't even have Sephora here anymore! But probably Sephora as there are so many brands with great products!

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
Oh god! I hate to say it, but 0ne eyeshadow! :-(

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I'm guilty of wearing shorts all year round anyway so it would have to be summer clothes in winter...

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

favourite lip product, as i have loads that i love still!

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
messy bun! i really don't suit pony tails and it tickles the back of my neck and makes me think there's a spider or something on me!

Would you rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Never be able to paint my nails neon again..

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?
Sharpie them! I did once shave them off as i never used to have any and it looked so weird.

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Nail polish, easily!

Have you done the Would you Rather Make up Edition Tag?Tell me in the comments!

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush ♥

I love Beauty Boxes as it's always great to try new things. Sometimes the things you end up getting are from a brand you've never heard of or wouldn't buy from. I received this product in my March GlossyBox. The brand, Jelly Pong Pong, I'd never heard of before and didn't know what to expect of their products.

Jelly Pong Pong says: "A moisturizing lip stain that tints your lips with just the right amount of juicy colour and hydrates like a balm. Apply liberally  purse and let the silky lightweight texture melt onto your lips."

I've enjoyed trying out this product and overall, I'm quite impressed by it. I love lip stains as nothing is worse than having to apply lipstick every time you have a drink when you're out! Also, with a colour like red i like having the stain as even when the shine does go, I'm still left with lots of colour. I've ended up taking this out with me a fair bit and it does easily last the night, i do like to reapply once or twice to keep the shine but the colour doesn't fade away! I suffer from really dry lips that are prone to cracking and the fact that this product is moisturizing is a big bonus for me. Its a beautiful bright red that is definitely not for the faint hearted! They sell for £12 and after I've finished this one, I'd definitely buy a new one!

What new products have you tried recently? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Wishlist ♥

I don't know about you but my wishlists are always longer than my arm! Every time i come on here i see someone raving about some product or the other then i feel like i have to get it, so I'll just blame you lot for my terrible bank balance! :-) Every time I'm in Boots, it takes all my self restraint not to buy the whole shop!

I like wishlist posts as they help me know what to buy when! If its been on my wishlist a while and i still want to buy it, i do! If i lose interest i don't! Despite the fact that, as I've said so many times before, i have much more face products than i do eyes or lips put together, i always find my wishlist full of face products. I'll blame that on my obsession with blushes and concealers!

1) Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - As much as i love my Sigma F80 to apply my foundation, I've heard so many great things about this brush and how great it is to use, I've been wanting some new brushes too so this sounds like a perfect time to try some out!

2) Sleek True Colour Lipstick in "Loved Up" - This little baby caught my eye on the Superdrug website and I've been obsessed with it since! I love Sleek as to me their products are just so pigmented and I'd love to try some of their lip products especially as these are supposed to be super moisturizing for your lips!

3) Garnier Perfect Blur 5 Seconds Primer - I've been curious about this product since it arrived in my local Boots. I need a new primer as I'm almost out of my current one and would love to try some more. And as for making your skin look perfect in 5 seconds? God, i hope this works!

4) Illamasqua Skin Base - Sadly, I missed their 50% off sale :-( as i hadn't been paid at that time but no matter, I've heard nothing but great things about this foundation so I've decided i need it in my collection!

5) Revlon Photoready Concealer - I never was a fan of concealer in stick forms, but i do love this product after trying it out recently. It seems to be able to take all the problems my skin could throw at it!

6) Tangle Teezer - I have the wildest hair on earth. All i have to do is sit there for a moment and it will magically knot itself and really, i don't know why! I've tried so many things but i think I'll give the Tangle Teezer a go and see if it helps me out...

This is only a tiny bit off my wishlist which is actually pages and pages and probably about £500+! I'll just say it's because i am constantly on the look out for those perfect products! Aside from these, I'd like to pick up some more cream shadows and i need to pick up some more lip liners!

Whats on your wishlist currently? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo
