Skincare Series Part 4: Sarah's Top 5 Products!♥

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sarah, and I usually blog over at Sarah's Beauty Emporium, which is my blog. I'm very happy to be doing a guest post for Rosie today, and sharing with you all my top 5 skincare products!

A short while ago, before I started blogging, I was very lazy with skincare - I thought a quick face wipe at the end of the day would sufficiently remove all my make-up and leave me with perfect skin... I was wrong. Since starting to blog and reading other peoples blogs, I've started taking better care of my skin, and have some firm skincare favourites, that I'm going to be sharing with you today.

5. Apivita Express Beauty Face Masks
I was introduced to Apivita in April when I went to the #LDNBBMeet at Selfridges. Someone from Apivita was there and I had a lovely chat with her, and she told me all about Apivita's products. I have an M&S (Where Apivita is sold) literally down the road from me, so I set out and bought some of their face masks! You get two masks for about £3, and they are worth the money. There is a difference in my skin when I use these, and they also smell AMAZING. The one shown here smells of apricot, which smells great, but I also love the smell of the Pomegranate mask and the Grape one. They literally smell good enough to eat.

4. Garnier Clean & Soft Complete Cleansing Wipes
Although I don't use purely cleansing wipes in my skincare routine anymore, I still do have them. Sometimes, if I've come in from work or wherever at 1 in the morning & the rest of my family are asleep, the last thing I want to be doing is going through a long skincare routine - I don't have the time or the energy to do that, which makes these wipes perfect. These wipes are fantastic, there's a sufficient amount of moisture in them, they smell amazing and they're good at removing makeup. I like the Rose ones best but the cucumber ones also smell great. They're an easy alternative for those late nights out.

3. Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover

I bought this just as a random "I'll try this out and see if I like it" product a couple of months ago - I was slightly fascinated by the 2 liquids sitting on top of eachother in the bottle. When I got it home I was actually really impressed by it. It does quite a good job at removing my eye make up. Now, I use it every night. It's affordable, it's by Nivea, which is a brand I love, and it's pretty cool too with the Oil&Water sort of effect. You have to shake it before you use it, so the two liquids can (try) and mix. It does what it says in terms of removing waterproof eye makeup and is the first eye makeup remover I've found that does this efficiently. It does sting a little if you get it into your eyes, but it's not as bad as eye makeup removers I've tried in the past.

2. Nivea Express Hydration Primer

I remember talking about this quite a lot when it first came out as I literally saw it advertised everywhere. I couldn't find it anywhere, but eventually I found it. I'm now on my third tub of this, and I love it. It's a great primer - my makeup definitely does stay on longer, and it also acts as a moisturiser. They do this for two skin types - The blue lid one is for Normal to Combination skin, and the pink lid one is for Dry and Sensitive skin. My first two tubs were for Normal to Combination skin, but I bought the Dry and Sensitive skin one this time round, just because my skin has been a bit strange lately and I'm still unsure of what skin type I have - So if I try both I'll know which one works for me! This is also only £4.99 to buy, which is a bargain - you get 50ml in a tub.

1. L'Oreal Micellar 3-in-1 Solution

It's probably no surprise to those who know me that I love this product, and that this is number 1 in my Top 5 skincare products. I picked it up after hearing it was like Bioderma (which I haven't actually tried yet), so I wanted to get an idea of Bioderma was like. I'm not actually bothered whether this is like Bioderma or not as I love this for what it is. Taking makeup off with this is a dream - like it says on the bottle, it dissolves makeup, which is fantastic. I get through SO many cotton pads because I use this but I really don't mind - it's so worth it! The only downside to this is that the hole the water comes out of is massive. It's too big - you do get a decent amount on the pad quickly, but sometimes too much comes out! So all I would say is try and be controlled when you're pouring this onto a pad. The price of this varies from place to place, its between £4.99 and £5.50,  but some places do offers for "2 for £6" - which as you can imagine is a great offer to take advantage of.

Anyway, I've really enjoyed writing this post, and I hope you've enjoyed reading it. A big thank you to Rosie for giving me the opportunity to write this post. If you want to read more posts by me, you can do so by going to my blog,

Hope everyone is having a great week!
Sarah xxx

Rosie - Thanks for that Sarah! You've officially given me product lust! This is Part 4 of my Skincare Series so thank you for reading it and a special thank you to Sarah for contributing! Lots of love xo

Skincare Series Part Three: Deep Cleaning Routine ♥

I can't believe I'm already on part three of my Skincare Series! So far, I've talked about my Everyday Skincare Routine and posted a wishlist! Today's post kind of expands on part one! I'm talking about the lesser used, but no less loved, products! I mean, once a week or a night before a big day, i always have my deep clean skincare day. To make sure my skin looks as great as it can possibly be! I use all 4 of the products from part one, but add 3 more.

I take off my make up like normal with the L'Oreal Skin Pefection Micellar Solution and a cotton pad. Once my make ups all off, i wash my face with the Clean and Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash. Next i scrub my face with the Clean and Clear Blackhead clearing Daily scrub. Here's where it gets different! I apply my Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask, which smells heavenly by the way! It does help keep my skin hydrated and the scent lingers for a little while too.  Once I've rinsed that off and patted my face dry i apply my Forever Flawless Diamond Infused Facial Peel. I love using this as i can really see the difference it makes! While rubbing this in circular motions around my face you can actually see the dead skin peeling off, gross but satisfying! After rinsing my face again i use my Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. I apply two, one across the middle of my forehead and another across my nose. This really helps to get any dirt i missed earlier and helps keep my skin looking cleaner. After I've peeled those off, i finish off with my Garnier Moisture Match Goodbye Dry Creme and a slick of Vaseline for my lips!

The Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask is so lovely. It's gentle but works well to keep my skin hydrated but not greasy. The scent is beautiful, like fresh peaches! It's £22 for 100ml and i can't wait to try more of the Origins products now! I like the Bioré pore strips as they have two kinds, one that's cut to fit over your nose and a plain one for your forehead! Helps make me feel super refreshed and clean.

What special steps do you add to your skincare? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Rosie xo

Skincare Series Part 2: Wishlist! ♥

Hi again and welcome to part 2 of my Skincare Series!  The first part, which you can read here, was all about the products i use everyday. Part 2 however is about the products i can't wait to try! I may be a creature of habit, but i love discovering new products and trying them out. I'm on a mission for clean, healthy and glowing skin and i will try as many products as i can until i get that!

Skincare Wishlist
  • The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask £9 - I love face masks, to me nothing says luxury or pamper more than a face mask! I've heard so many good reviews about this particular one so i feel like i need to know now.
  • The Body Shop Elderflower Cooling Eye Gel £7 - As you might have seen in the first part of this series, i use no eye creams or gels whatsoever! I want to try some though so i can't wait to pick this little baby up. It seems to be a generally liked product too so i want to see what the fuss is about!
  • Burt's Bees Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub £9.99 - As I've said before, I'm always looking for new products to try and as i haven't tried any of the Burt's Bees skincare, i thought I'd give this a go! Plus i love the scent of peaches so having my face smell like that would be great.
  • Clean and Clear Morning Energy Daily Face Wash £3.99 - This is a product that i tried a while back, and liked a lot. My current face wash, feels more like a "night" wash to me, whereas this face wash helps to make your skin look energized and bright!
  • Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish £14.75 - A cult product! How haven't i tried this yet?! Everyone raves about this, i just have to find out if it's as good as everyone says!

So here are the products that I'm currently lusting over and waiting til i can buy them! I swear i am constantly trying new things but some products are staples in my collection.

What skincare products are you looking to buy? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Skincare Series Part One: Everyday Skincare Routine! ♥

Whilst sitting around and brain-storming idea's of future posts to do, i stumbled upon the idea of doing a series - the first I'd ever write in fact. I um-ed and ah-ed about what to base it on, but naturally i felt skincare was the best option. There are so many things to write about and i know i tend to gravitate towards make up posts here! So my Skincare series will go on for a week which means it will have 4 parts (i post every monday, wednesday, friday and sunday!). So welcome to the first part...

Now, when it comes to skincare, i can be slightly lazy. Well, not lazy just i don't want to spend two hours every night rubbing this cream and that onto my face! Although i do have a few skin problems, extreme dryness and dark circles being the main ones. i have overall okay skin, I'm not acne prone and i don't have super obvious pores.  Like most people. I'm a creature of habit, if i love a product I'll probably use it everyday!

My everyday skincare routine is kept as simple as i possibly can, which makes it easier for me to do it every night. First i take off all my make up with my L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution and a cotton pad. I've fallen in love with this product as it effortlessly takes off all my make up with one pad and is super gentle on my skin. I wrote a whole review of this here. It's only £3.33 too at Boots and it's been called the Bioderma Dupe!

While in the shower/bath, i always make sure to wash my face with the Clean and Clear exfoliating daily wash. I picked this product up on a whim while browsing Boots for a new face wash and it's just great. At only £2.99 for 150ml too it's purse friendly. After the wash, i use my Clean and Clear Blackhead Clearing daily scrub which i picked up at the same time as the face wash. I love these two together as after, i can feel how clean my face is. My skin always feels super soft and refreshed after using them too! They do help clear any dirt or oil from my face and are gentle enough that they don't irritate my sensitive skin.

Up until recently, i swore by my E45 Moisture Lotion, as up until that point i hadn't found a moisturiser that actually made a difference to my dry skin and didn't feel greasy on. On yet another trip to Boots (i definitely go there way too much) i picked this up after hearing mixed reviews on the Moisturise Match line. I picked up the Garnier Moisture Match Goodbye Dry Creme as it's currently on offer for £3.99. I was pleasantly surprised when i tried it and found my skin felt much more hydrated all day. It doesn't feel greasy on the skin and it absorbs pretty quickly too. Holy grail product in the making? We'll have to wait and see...

Whats your everyday skincare routine? Tell me in the comments!

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag!

Hi there guys! I've got yet another tag post for you today. I love doing these and reading others answers too, feels like you get to know the person a little more i think!

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive item would have to be the MUA blushes i think at only £1 each! For most expensive, i'm not sure it'd either be my TheBalm Rockstar Palette or the Urban Decay Naked2.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
Love/hate relationship? Hmmmm. Probably my L'Oreal Infallible foundation. I love the fact the pale shade fits me but i hate the fact it transfers so easily!

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
Lush Bubblegum lip scrub or my NYX Megashine Lip Glosses, i love them as they smell of cherries!

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
Probably eyelashes. I just suck at trying to apply them so i rarely even try, sometimes if I'm going to have a big night out i try them but normally i end up doing them wrong and getting annoyed!

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
I'd have to say foundation or mascara. I have really uneven skintone and a lot of problems and i just feel so bleurgh without foundation on! And as for Mascara, i look so tired without it and i feel naked if I'm not wearing it.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
Bit off topic but hey ho! I like humour, they have to be able to make me laugh! But also, kindness and talented especially music.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Oh dear! Anything but foundation as even i have trouble matching them to my skin!

Hope you enjoyed today's tag post! I tag everyone who reads this! Let me know if you do this tag so i can read through your answers too!

Do you like tag posts? Tell me in the comments!

Revlon Photoready Concealer ♥

I have a slight obsession with concealers, i'm not afraid to admit that. It's probably got something to do with having some obvious skin problems - very dark under eyes, lots of redness and yes the occasional spot or blemish. I wear it every day i wear make up, i feel absolutley naked without it!

So on yet another trip to Boots a while ago, i picked it up after it sitting in my wishlist for absolutley ages. I'd heard mixed reviews about it so wasn't sure how well it would work for me and my skin. The concealer is £6.49 and is the best stick concealer i've ever tried! I never used to be a fan of stick concealers, as i thought they were drying (bad experience with one) or tugged on my skin. I picked this up in the shade "Light" and for once, it actually was light enough for me! It worked lovely on my under eye circles as it's so light and creamy feeling but still has decent coverage. It deals okay with blemishes - getting rid of any redness but obviously it can't get rid of the lump.  I like the fact it doesn't cake and doesn't crease. It lasts for quite a while too, with minimal touching up needed. This has been a staple in my make up baf since i picked it up!

After trying this product, i can't wait to try out the rest of the Revlon Photoready line! I hope i like them as much as i like this!

What do you think of this concealer? Tell me in the comments!

NYX Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer ♥

Recently i went on a bit of a shopping rampage while on the Nyx cosmetics website (to see what else i bought, read my post here) and ended up with lots of new products to try. I love primers, i need them! I love how well they make my make up stay on and to help even out my skin. As i have a lot of redness on my face, i've been looking for that perfect product to help me manage it.
Excuse the packaging, it just proves its well loved

But i've wanted a green primer for a while, well ever since i first heard Smashbox had one. As it was a fair bit of money to spend on something i wasn't even sure i'd like i put it to the back of my mind. Well, while i was browsing on the site and i came across this, it actually jumped into my basket...

The green of the primer helps counteract redness while also keeping your make up in place all day. I would say it helped to tone down any extreme patches of redness i had, but didn't do much with my pinkish patches. I only use a pea sized amount (funny as it's pea green!) for my whole face and it would keep my make up on for the whole day, as in i'd apply it in the morning before work (4am) and it would still be on around 3pm! I think it feels super lovely on the skin, making my skin feel very silky and soft. Its £11 for 30ml which is an alright price in my eyes, just above/around drugstore or high street brands.

If you have some severe redness on your face i'd really recommend you try out this primer as it did help with mine.

Have you tried any primers recently? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

My top 5 Summer Blush Picks! ♥

I've admitted it loads of times: I'm a Blush hoarder! I seem to always gravitate towards the blushes whenever i am shopping. I have so much more of them than i do any other kind of make up product. I think they just make such a difference to your face.

But anyway, as it's finally summer with lots of sunshine and hot weather i thought it was time to tell you about the 5 blushes i'm loving for this season. To me, summer means bright colours and trying new things. I love making a statement with make up, especially with what blush i'm wearing on my cheeks! I've also been loving peachy/orange tones recently, they can look so natural or as a pop of colour.

Recently MUA released some new blush shades including this one, MUA Blush in Lolly, which is a gorgeous soft peachy orange. It's only £1 and it feels so silky smooth on the skin. Worn sheer, it gives a  subtle warmth and definition to the face whereas if you build the colour up, it's a lovely pop of colour which would look great with a tan!
While shopping in Selfridges i ended up buying the Illamasqua Powder Blush in Sophie. It costs £18 and is a soft coral with lots of golden shimmer. I love coral make up - face, lips, nails you name it! The formula is wonderfully soft and pigmented.
Another kind of recent purchase is the Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow which is a lovely light peachy orange. This was my first try of any cream blush and i've got to say - i'm impressed! I love the cream-to-powder formula and love that it stays on all day literally! The Cream Blushes are £7.99.
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in Pink Rose is probably one of my favourite buys ever. It's only £3.99 and the quality is amazing for such a small price. The colour is a dusty, peachy pink which is quite shimmery. They stay on quite a while and just look so lovely on.
The Sleek Blush in Mirrored Pink was my first ever Sleek purchase. It made me fall in love with the brand. The colour is a beautiful medium pink with lots of golden shimmer. At only £4.49 too it doesn't break the bank!

These are my favourite blushes for Summer weather. They're all well loved and are very pigmented and soft. I like products, especially blushes, to be able to be worn in a few different ways like sheer or built up.

What blushes have you been loving at the moment? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

L'Oreal Micellar Solution ♥

I don't know about you, but i can be really lazy when it comes to taking my make up off. Now, i can almost hear you all gasping as you read that but i do take my make up off, i just feel like it's a bit of a chore and can take a while! To add to that, i haven't found make up remover wipes that have actually got rid of all my make up in one or don't irritate my sensitive skin.

So, a few months back when every beauty guru and blogger was raving about Bioderma, i felt like i had to try it. I never got to, as it was quite expensive and a bit of a pain to find in shops, so i put it to the back of my mind and carried on hating make up wipes. A while ago, while doing my weekly walk around Boots, i came across this. The L'Oreal 3in1 Purifying Micellar Solution at a fraction of the price of Bioderma. It's suitable for face, eyes and lips.

So, of course, i had to buy it! L'Oreal claims the product "dissolves make up, Unclogs pores and removes impurities and Tones and soothes the skin." I've been trying this for a while now and i have to say: i love it. I won't use anything else to remove my make up now! For 200ml it's currently £3.33 while Bioderma is £10 almost for a similar sized bottle. It easily took off all my face make up with just one pad. I use another pad for mascara and hold it over the eye for a few seconds first and it easily removed even waterproof eye make up. Thankfully, it works so well i don't have to rub hard to get rid of any waterproof make up, like i would if i was using a make up wipe. As i have very sensitive skin i was super happy to find out this was so gentle it didn't irritate my skin at all. I love how quick, easy and simple this is to use. The fact it also tones the skin is great - as I'm super lazy multi-tasking products are always the best for me.

I've already gone through a bottle of this, and just started my second. So happy, i think i may have found one of my Holy Grail products! I'll repurchase this again and again.

Have you tried this? Did you love it like me? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of Love,
Rosie xo

Mini Debenhams Haul ♥

So the other day, i was browsing through the Debenhams website (always dangerous!) and couldn't help but place a cheeky little order of some products I've been lusting over for quite a while.

First of all, i picked up some goodies from Benefit. They have a little kit, exclusive to Debenhams, called "One Prime Day" which has 3 mini sizes of their best selling primers. It was only £13.50 and as I've yet to try their primers yet, it's a good way for me to see if i like them before i take the plunge and grab a full size. To top it off, they had a promotion on where if you bought the kit, you got a free sample size BADgal Lash too. Seeing as the last time i got a sample of a Benefit mascara, i pretty much fell instantly in love, this was a great little deal!  I love Benefit mini kits as they're a great way to try a few new products to see if you like them rather than buying one full size product!

The only other thing i picked up this time was the Origins Drink Up Face mask, I hadn't tried  any Origins products yet, so i thought I'd take the plunge as it seems a lot of people love their skincare items. Seeing as i have really dry skin, this one seemed appropriate as it claims to help quench the skins thirst. I'm really looking forward to trying this. I do have to admit, it smells heavenly!

I was pretty good, i didn't buy too much for once! I can't wait to try these and see if i love them or not!

What have you bought recently? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Maybelline Dream Terra Sun

As a seriously pale girl, i have this constant battle going on! Which bronzer's look good on fairer skin tones?! I'm always on the lookout for the lighter bronzers, as most i see are so dark!

I picked up this Maybelline Dream Terra Sun Bronzer a while back, as i decided i wanted to try more of their products! It costs £5.99 for 16g of product, which is a pretty decent size really. I got it in the shade Light Bronze which is obviously, their lightest shade. I bought this hoping i could start using bronzer and stop being so scared of it! I was overall pretty disappointed.

Although it may say light bronze, i did expect it to have more colour than it does! When i first used it, it literally made no difference to my face! I was super confused. After swatching it heavily on my arm, i realised it's not really a bronzer as it's just orange! When you use a small amount, it barely shows up and when you use more, it's orange!

Although i was disappointed in the colour of the product, i did like some things about it. It smells lovely, like flowery perfume. Reminded me of the Bourjois Little Round Blushes as they smell like perfume too. I like the twist on lid too, too many powders go for the cheap packaging (like Rimmel Stay Matte) which doesn't make it travel friendly, but i love how this is quite secure when closed. The texture of the product is quite lovely as it's super soft.

As I'm super pale, the bronzer either made me orange (which is literally my biggest pet peeve) or just didn't show up at all. I can't fault the formula at all, nor the packaging. I think I'll pick up the other shade and see how that one is!

What do you think of this product? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of Love

My Current go-to Face Products! ♥

Last month, i wrote a post all about my "go-to" eye products, that i reached for more often than not, which you can read here. I think everyone has those products that they just seem to gravitate towards without even noticing it!

I seem to use my Rimmel Wake me up Foundation more than any of the foundations i own, which is a fair few I'm not going to lie. I wrote a whole review on this foundation which you can read here. As someone that doesn't sleep at all well, the anti-fatigue effect and the radiant glow really help me look like less of a zombie in the mornings! It has medium coverage and doesn't break the bank at £8.99! Another Rimmel product i love and seem to talk about super often is the Stay Matte Powder. I love using this to set my foundation and concealer as it doesn't look cakey and a little goes a really long way! It's a bargain too at only £3.99 for a whole 14g of product.

A blush i love to pieces is my MAC blush in Fleur Power. It's a gorgeous dusty rosey pink which is incredibly pigmented. You can wear it very sheer for a natural flush of colour to the cheeks or build up the colour for a more dramatic look. Because it's so pigmented, you don't need to use a lot of product at all so it lasts forever. I use this so often and it still looks almost brand new. My YSL Touche Éclait is another favourite of mine. I love anything that helps brighten my face, especially my under eye area which are quite dark always. It's easy to blend and the slight pinky touch to it helps hide the look of any dark circles. It's quite pricey though at £25 but plenty of drugstore/high street brands have their versions of it!

Now for a cult product, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I think almost every British bblogger I've watched/read/spoken to has loved this concealer. It's thick and is great at hiding those blemishes but i love using it under my eyes too as it has such fantastic coverage. It lasts for ages too, so you don't have to touch it up a million times a day. It's only £4.19 too so it's incredible value for money. I like how the fair shade is actually fair too. Last but not least is the Soap and Glory Glow All Out Highlighter. Again, i reviewed this in my Highlight Wars post a couple of months back and it's just beautiful. I love it for a soft, subtle glow that's perfect for a natural daytime look.

These are my go to face products! Look out for my Go to Lip products!

What face products do you always reach for? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Sleek Candy Collection ♥

A few weeks ago Sleek announced a new collection which is candy inspired! So like a lot of other people i rushed online and bought it as soon as i could as it's limited edition and i don't want to take the chance! They looked too good to miss out on anyway! I love themed collections, the products always tie in together so well and look fantastic.

We all know that Sleek are the drugstore/high street kings of blushes. But i hadn't tried their eyeshadow palettes yet, so i was anxious to see if they'd live up to my expectations! The candy collection has three products in it: Blush by 3 in Sweet Cheeks, i-Divine iCandy Eyeshadow palette and a Pout paint in LOL-LIP-POP (which seems to have gone missing from my lip drawer!).

The Blush by 3 is absolutely gorgeous to look at. In the palette you have one cream blush (Candy Floss), a matte lilac (Dollymix) and a bright shimmery candy pink (Cupcake)! All 3 are very pigmented. Candy Floss feels so soft and smooth and is so easy to apply. Dolly Mix is my favourite out of this palette, as i have nothing else like it, it's super pretty on the skin and really flattering.

The i-Divine iCandy Palette has 12 eyeshadows with a mixture of matte, shimmer and pearl finishes. They all have sweet/candy inspired names and are so bright. I can't wait to start using this more as the weather is getting so nice. Love a pop of colour in the summer!

The 12 shadows are
Strawberry Sherbet - Bright Barbie Pink with very slight shimmer.
Bon Bon - Pink with lots of shimmer.
Parma Violet - Matte darker purple
Apple Sour - Metallic mid-tone bright green.
Pearl Drop - Shimmery Acid Green.
Flump - Matte Bright purple.
Liquorice - Matte Black.
Blue Fizzle - Metallic medium Blue.
Aniseed - Shimmery Pink/Red.
Bubblegum - Matte sky blue.
Mint Cream  - Matte mid-tone bright green
Cream Soda - Metallic white

I love the mix between matte and shimmer eyeshadows, it's always good to have some of each. My favourites are probably Bubblegum, Flump and Parma Violet. The quality of these shadows is amazing, they're all so pigmented you don't need a primer to make them pop. They last a while but to make it about 8 hours, use a primer. My only problem with this palette would be that Liquorice, the matte black shade, isn't as pigmented as the other shades.  The i-Divine iCandy Palette is £7.99.

They're both in the usual Sleek Black matte packaging. Both feel very sturdy and are easy enough to fit into a make up bag. They both have big mirrors inside, which is always great for make up on the go. I can't wait to try more Sleek products as I've loved this collection so much. Hopefully it will help me get out of my comfort zone of neutrals only!

Have you tried the Candy Collection? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Real Techniques ♥

If you saw my haul post last month, which you can read here, you'll see i caved in and finally bought some of the Real Techniques Make up brushes! I love my ELF Studio brushes and my Sigma F80 too. But they were so talked about i felt like i needed them, they just sounded so great! After hearing every beauty blogger and their dog raving about them, i added them to my Superdrug basket.

I picked up the Core Collection and the Expert Face Brush. The Core collections costs £20.99 and comes with 4 brushes: The Buffing Brush, The Contour Brush, The Pointed Foundation Brush and the Detailer Brush.

My favourites from the set are easily the Buffing Brush and the Contour brush. The Buffing brush is super soft and dense. The contour brush is domed and equally as soft, i love using this to apply cream products to my skin like a cream blush or highlight. As for the other two brushes, i really don't like them! I've always disliked pointed foundation brushes, much preferring my Sigma F80, as i don't like the effect they give and i don't think it looks very natural! The detailer brush i don't have much use for, as i love to pat my concealer in, especially in the under eye area! One use i have put this to is for applying an inner corner highlight to my eyes as it's super small!

The Expert Face Brush, is easily my new obsession. It's super soft and helps blend your foundation so easily! I've always loved using brushes to apply foundation rather than my hands or a sponge. It helps me be really quick about applying my make up and doesn't leave any lines. I literally am in love! The Expert Face Brush costs £9.99.

L to R: Detailer Brush, Expert Face Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Buffing Brush, Contour Brush

Well, i might be the very last person on Earth to pick these up but just in case there are others like me, who left it very late, i really recommend these brushes. They feel super sturdy, are easy to clean and look gorgeous with their orange/black handles. I am definitely going to have to pick up their eye brushes now!

MUA Mosaic Blush English Rose ♥

Today I'm talking to you about a blush that I've fallen back in love with. I seem to be a bit of a blush hoarder, i have more blushes than i do any other product. So i ended up reaching for this less and less. Until recently, when i decided i was going to try to use the products in my collection, that I'd been neglecting.

Excuse my messy desk, it's so stained, not dirty!

The MUA Mosaic Blush is a blush that literally looks like a mosaic. With little squares of peach, dark pink, lilac and light brown, the look of this blush is what caused me to buy it. I was super curious to see how it would turn out on the skin. MUA say the reason there is so many different colours in this blush, is to build up a better colour palette of pigmentation as different skin tones take different colours more prominently. Which means it looks different on every skin tone.

It can be worn in two ways, if you use a small amount it looks very natural but using more makes for a much more dramatic look. It's a very shimmery blush which i love to wear to add a subtle flush of colour to the cheeks.  I love to use this blush if I'm wearing a bright lip or dramatic eye look, as it doesn't draw attention away from the eyes or lips yet still looks pleasantly flushed. It costs £2.50 for 8.9g of product, so you're getting a lot of product for your money.

What it looks like on - subtle.
My only problem with this is with the packaging as the clasp to hold it closed doesn't feel very secure to me so I'm very wary of travelling with it! But apart from that, i love this blush.  Sometimes I'm in the mood for a subtle make up look and this blush is perfect for that.

Have you tried this blush? Did you like it? Tell me in the comments!

Lots of love

Summer Face of the Day ♥

I love Summer so much. I know a lot of people prefer wearing less make up in the summer or hot weather in general. Personally, i just switch to brighter colours. On one of the recent hot days, i spent the day with a friend in the sun and this is my face of make up! I went for a very natural face and lip look with a dramatic eye look which i love to do!

I feel like i need a primer in the hotter weather, to keep my make up in place, as we don't want it sliding off in places do we? (ew). I used my NYX Studio Primer in Anti-Redness to get my skintone less red and to keep my make up on for longer. I used my Rimmel Wake me up Foundation as it's so glowy and dewy. I don't like to set my foundation too much, i just use a really light hand with my MAC Mineralize Skin Natural. For blush i used my MUA Blush in Lolly. I think coral or peachy blushes look great in summer, i'm reaching for them more and more! For highlight, i kept it simple and subtle with my Soap and Glory Glow all out, which is great for a dewy finish that's subtle enough for the daytime. For bronzer, i used my NYC Sunny Bronzer so i didn't look quite so pastey!

For eyes i wanted to go for a more dramatic look, with lots of bronze colours! First i used my Rimmel Exagerrate Eye primer. I used my MUA Undress me too palette. I used the shade Fiery all over my lid, with Obsessed in the outer third and crease and Corrupt in the outer V. For a browbone highlight, i used the shade Naked. For mascara, i had to use my Benefit They're Real, as it's just perfection. Next i used my Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl in Nude in my waterline to make my eyes look bigger and brighter. For eyeliner, i'm loving my Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner pen.

For lip, i wanted to go pretty simple as i'd gone for a dramatic eye look so used my new Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop which is a gorgeous sheer hot pink.

This is my Summer/Hot weather Face of the Day!

Empties! ♥

I don't know about you but i swear it takes me forever to finish some products! I'm always on the look out for products i haven't tried yet so i end up taking so long to finish one as i have about 12 on the go at once! For a while now I've been adding any empty tubs or bottles into a little pink basket in my room, waiting to get enough to write a post about! Sadly, a few got thrown away by family :-(

My little "empty" basket!
It's mostly bath/body products or haircare as i do seem to go through them a lot faster than any other products, despite the fact my bathroom must have more bottles than a Boots!

My first empty is the Soap and Glory Scrub 'em and Leave 'em body buff. I've said it so many times but i love S&G products. This scrub helped make my legs look good for any days where i wanted to rock a dress or shorts! It smells so lovely but very strong. I love body scrubs, they're so relaxing to do and there's nothing better than a good pamper! I would 100% repurchase this product. Next up is the Co-operative Lime Shower Gel. I picked this up as i love love love the scent of limes. I wish more things were lime scented. There isn't too much i can say about this product, i liked it but i didn't think the scent lasted long on the body which is a shame. I probably wouldn't repurchase this. Another shower gel/body wash product now and it's the Imperial Leather Skinkind Hydrate. This smells amazing. Cotton is such a lovely smell, so fresh and clean. This does help keep skin moisturised too and helps soothe sensitive skin. I would repurchase this!

Next up is one of my Holy Grail products, the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy Deep Treatment. I bought this a while ago as i loved the original 3 minute miracle. I love the scent of this one much better though but i really can't describe it! It's quite sweet but not overpowering. I like the fact it helps tame frizzy hair as my hair gets very frizzy, especially around wind or heat! I have repurchased this already. The Charles Worthington Salon Finish Heat Defense Spray smells wonderful. I've loved CW products for years as they really do make hair look and feel gorgeous. I picked up this spray a while ago, when i couldn't find my usual TRÉsemme one, and it didn't wow me! It was a good product but it just wasn't the best I'd tried! I have already repurchased my TRÉsemme one!

Last i have the L'Occitane Brightening Hand Care lotion which i got in a GlossyBox. This was the first L'Occitane product I'd tried and i wasn't impressed at all. I found it very greasy and thought it took way too long to absorb into the skin, i hate the feeling that i can't do anything while it's still there! I didn't see any brightening effects either. On the plus side, it has SPF 20 in it, which has been needed the last few days as it's been super sunny. It helped keep my hands hydrated alright but i thought it took too long to absorb and i didn't enjoy the scent, at all! I wouldn't repurchase this, I'll stick with my Nivea one!

What products have you used up recently? Tell me in the comments!

June Favourites ♥

Wow, is it that time already? I swear the months fly by. It feels like I've just posted my May Favourites . I've been super busy this month trying out new products most of which you'll have seen in one of my hauls. The weathers been a bit all over the place recently, it's been super hot and sweaty but with no sun! :-(

My first favourite of the month is my MUA Pro Undressed too palette, which I've been grabbing almost every day to create eye looks. I compared it with the Urban Decay Naked2 earlier this month, which you can read here. It has so many gorgeous shades and is perfect for that lovely everyday neutral eye. In the run up to the hotter weather, which obviously means dress weather, I've been trying to prepare by using my Garnier SummerBody Moisturising Lotion which is a lovely thick lotion which smells super yummy, like apricots! Whenever i have it on i can't stop smelling myself. This helps to add a subtle sun kissed look to your skin as well as keeping your skin hydrated too. Another product I've been loving this month is my Benefit They're Real sample, i got last month with ELLE. I posted a review saying how much i love this mascara recently. I love dramatic, volumized lashes and this certainly does that better than any mascara I've tried. Next is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo, which is a gorgeous pale pink/nude shade on the lips. I love pairing this with a dramatic eye look as it just looks so cute on. It seems to stay on for quite a while too, always a big plus for me! The last product I've been loving this month is my TheBalm Jovi Rockstar Palette. I wrote a whole post saying how much i love this palette but i've been loving the blush and highlighter and the Alice Copper eyeshadow!

I've had a pretty good month and the LDNBloggersParty was a great end to it!

What products have you been loving this month? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
