Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream!♥

I recently joined in with the BB cream hype, which is something i never thought i'd do! Seeing as how i love medium coverage plus and have freckles i like to cover, i didn't think i'd ever be jumping on this bandwagon. So, while shopping i'm still not sure what made me add this to my basket, but i did and i was pleasantly surprised...

I'd always assumed BB cream meant little to not coverage but how wrong was i?! While the BB cream wasn't thick enough to cover a large breakout it had more than enough coverage to deal with the odd blemish and deal with the redness of my face. Despite the fact i have dry skin, i still bought this even though it says for oily skin. Why you might ask? Maybelline claims it helps keep skin moisturized all day with no oil - i hate oily products! I love this product for the fact it feels so light on your skin, like you're not wearing any product. I always apply this with my hands and is perfect for days where you just pop to the shop and don't really care about having high coverage. The one downside to this product is that it only comes in 2 shades: Light and Medium. At only £6.99 it's pretty purse friendly too!

What do you think of BB Creams? Tell me in the comments!

August Favourites &200GFC Giveaway!♥

I swear time is going super fast at the moment as it always seems like less than a week has passed since my last monthly favourites post! August has been a lovely month, thankfully not as hot as July was though! I've been loving a few things this month and read until the end for info about my giveaway!

First of all, I swear i have used my MUA Blush in Lolly most days! It's such a lovely colour and i think it looks lovely if you've done some contouring. Speaking of contouring - I've been loving my NYC Sunny Bronzer so much. It's super light too, so pale girls don't beware! For girls like me, who aren't too good at bronzing/contouring this is your hero! I've been using my Argan oil too, which has been helping keep my hair nice and shiny! Barry M Blueberry Ice-Cream has been on my nails for ages now, i love bright colours especially blue in the summer months and i like how long this lasts too! My Maybelline Babylips in Pink Punch has been used almost to death ever since they were released, i love the colour and scent of this so much! Last but not least. My Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 101 has been very well loved, it's my go-to lipstick for 'everyday' wear as it's just such a pretty colour for any occasion!

Now, for the giveaway! Thank you to anyone who reads my blog, follows via GFC and just generally is lovely to me! I never thought I'd reach 200GFC ever, let alone within 7 months so thank you again! There will be one winner of this giveaway. The winner will be drawn on the 29th September. There is also an extra prize not shown - a MAC lipstick of your choice (permanent collection)!

The giveaway is UK ONLY. Sorry!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Deep Purple!♥

Recently I've been trying to get myself out of a make up rut - always neutral eyeshadows with black eyeliner and a pink lip! So, i said to myself I'd add more colour to my make up looks, I'm not talking full on rainbow eyeshadows, just a bit of colour to break my make up traditions!

As I'd already fallen in love with the Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Nude, when i saw the Deep Purple shade, i thought 'Why Not?'. It's not too bright so it wouldn't be too out there for me to wear. The Rimmel Scandal Eyes have been called dupes for the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, I've yet to try the Urban Decay liners though!

I easily fell in love with Deep Purple just like with Nude, the liners are so creamy and pigmented. They last for ages, even on the waterline and the colours are all lovely! They are waterproof too, which is always a bonus! Another thing i love about these eyeliners are how impossible they are to smudge! I love using this liner if i want a 'no-fuss' make up, as even on it's own it looks so lovely and eye-catching. The Scandal eyes comes in lots of lovely colours like Black, Bright Blue, Silver and taupe among others so there is something for everyone!

Make up Starter kit: Face! ♥

Today I'm talking about a subject I've wanted to do for ages! I wish I'd read one of these when i first started getting into make up! Until i was 16, i literally owned pretty much no make up. I think i had a mascara, a clear lip gloss and one eyeshadow! When i did dive deeper into the beauty world, i was so unprepared as i didn't have a clue what was good and what wasn't!

Today's post is all about face make up, with posts of eyes and lips coming soon. My favourite make up is face easily, i seem to have like 4x as much of it as i do lips or eyes!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
I swear i must rave about this in every other blogpost i write but it really is great. It's super easy to use as you don't need a lot of product to see a result and it doesn't look cakey on the skin. Perfect for bringing to school and using to set your face after PE! At only £3.99 it's purse friendly too!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Another cult product! Great coverage concealer which lasts all day easily. I like how it helps concealer anything - blemishes or under eye circles! It's only £4.19 too so it's easy to pick up if you're only on pocket money.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
A great foundation for a really good price. At only £6.99 it's very cheap and you get quite a lot of product too. Lasts all day, with low/medium coverage to start but can be built up. It even has a really large shade range, with lots for paler skin too! It retails for £6.99 but is often on offer!

MUA Lolly &  Marshmallow
Now for my favourite subject - blushes! One of my favourite drugstore/high street blushes have got to be the MUA £1 powder blushes. The have 6 shades and at only £1 you can have a couple and experiment. Silky soft and highly pigmented, plus they last for ages too!

All these products are perfect for someone just starting to get into make up! Part 2 & 3 will be up in the next few weeks!

What would be in your starter kit? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

Maybelline Baby Lips ♥

Who else like me, screamed in excitement when they saw that little message on the Boots website saying "Babylips coming soon!"? I know it wasn't just me! I immediately added myself to the mailing list so i could be told as soon as they were available to buy. The BabyLips have been one of those products every british bblogger and guru has been dying to try since the US bloggers have been raving about them!

L to R: Cherry Me, Peach Kiss and Pink Punch

I picked up 3 of the 6, the tinted ones! Pink Punch (a bight pink), Cherry Me (a cherry red) and Peach Kiss (a peachy nude). I didn't buy all six as i already have enough regular lip balms whereas tinted lip balms are my vice! I suffer from very dry and chapped lips and am constantly re-applying lip balm to try and combat this problem! Maybelline claim that the Baby Lips give 8 hours of hydration, which sounded just too good to me! Although 3 out of 6 of the lip balms have SPF20 it's only the non-tinted ones sadly! I was surprised with the colour pay off, i was expecting very sheer and not noticeable on the lips but i was pleasantly surprised. Cherry Me and Pink Punch especially pack a punch in the colour pay off department - Cherry Me being my favourite scent and Pink Punch my favourite colour! Peach kiss doesn't have much colour pay off but makes up for it because it smells super yummy! I'd say these have more like 3/4 hours of hydration, especially if eating and drinking. At only £2.99 too they're great value for money. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous though, so bright and eye catching.

The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask ♥

I've never had much to do with the Body Shops skincare products, always heading straight to the body butters. While i was writing my Skincare series, i added a few of the Body Shop skincare products into my wishlist, and recently, picked them up!

Now, let me tell you now, I'm a sucker for face masks! I love them. I love feeling pampered and relaxed and nothing says that to me like a facemask, a book and a candlelit bath! I'm very careful about trying new skin care though - as i have very dry and sensitive skin i prefer a product not filled with fragrances and nasty ingredients. Before i buy a product, i read every review i can find to help me decide if i want to take the plunge or not. This is why i decided to pick up this particular mask, as The Body Shop uses all natural ingredients - though i was wary because of the fragrance, but by the sounds of the reviews I'd read, it was just amazing!

The Warming Mineral Mask is £10 for 100ml. I got this on half price during a recent promotion! As for the warming effect, I'd more say heating, as it felt hot rather than warm which is a good thing to me! What i liked best about this mask was that it didn't set and make your skin feel very dry and stiff like a lot of masks do. I've been using this around once a week, sometimes twice if I'm having a bad skin day! After applying the mask to a wet, clean face i leave on for around 5-10 minutes then wash off with cool water. I have to admit, after washing this off i can feel the difference in my skin. It feels so much softer and cleaner - which is always a big plus in my book!

After loving this mask, I'm excited to try more of the Body Shop Skincare now!

So...? Girls Night out! ♥

On Thursday the 15th i was given the lovely oppurtunity to head to London and have a very girly evening with some of my favourite people and brands.  The event was hosted by Bloggers Love who hold an event every week! As i've said before, when i was around twelve, i don't think i used any body sprays except So...? Kiss me!

I met up with Ellis from elrbx beforehand so we could get a bit of shopping (well, she could, i didn't have any money!). We met up with Angelica from OneLittleVice before heading to the event which was held in Leciester Squares Penthouse venue. We were up on the 6th floor and i have to admit the venue had the most beautiful views across London. We could see the London Eye, The Shard, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. It was breathtaking. When we arrived, we were given a token for a free cocktail at the bar (who can say no to that?!), i chose the Mango Sorbet which was so strong and sweet. There were plenty of activities going on in the room, a DJ and there were also hairdressers from So...? there doing different hairstyles using the brands dry shampoo's and hairsprays. It was a very laid back event, everyone milled around and chatted to everyone.

Every hour they also had a prize draw every hour, 7:30 8:30 and 9:30 to win a bag full of So...? products. I won the 8:30 draw and received a lot of body sprays and eau de toilettes, which you really can never have enough of really! It really was a lovely evening,

With the goody bag AND the prizes i won, i don't think i'll have to buy any sprays for quite a while to be honest!

What events have you been to recently? Tell me in the comments!

MUA Blush in "Lolly" ♥

Quite a while back, i posted my haul from the #LDNBloggersParty in London and pretty much most of it was a blush, oops! But while in Superdrug with Ellis and Angelica i decided it was time to pick up a few of the new MUA Blush shades.

MUA released 6 new shades to their £1 blush line, of which i have 2. At only £1 you still get a ton of product with 2.4g. The formula is great, silky soft and easy to blend. Lolly is a soft peachy, orange colour which is pretty pigmented. This is easily my favourite shade from the range. Don't forget to tap the excess off your brush or risk looking like an Oompa Loompa! It feels lovely on the skin, and has a decent wear time too. I didn't need to touch it up for about 4 hours in the heat, which is great!

At only £1 you're still getting great quality product which i would easily pay more for! MUA are on a roll recently, they've been releasing so many great products. I can't wait to pick up the other 4 new shades too, i mean at only a £1 it'd be rude not to, right?! ;-)

Have you tried this blush? Do you love it? Tell me in the comments!

YSL Rouge Volupte Lingerie Pink ♥

Recently, while on the Boots website, i might have made a sneaky purchase or two! Boots had an offer on where if you bought two selected premium beauty items, you got an extra 750 advantage card points! I was super happy with that, as i'm currently saving up all my Boots points for a massive high end shopping spree. But anyway, the two products i picked up were my Benefit Bella Bamba and Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in Lingerie Pink.

This is my second ever YSL product but first ever lip product of theirs. I've got to admit, this lipstick has been sitting on my wishlist for such a long time, i'm not even sure why. But when i saw that offer applied to the YSL lipstick, i quickly added it to my basket with no second thoughts. At £24.50 it's not the most purse friendly lipstick imaginable, actually i think this might be the most expensive lipstick i own, but i am super glad i bought this.

Lingerie Pink is a beautiful milky pink shade, which is quite nude so it's easy enough to wear day to day.  The packaging of this product is truly breath taking with the bullet being gold with a thick band of colour in the middle - which is actually the colour of the lipstick. It easily stands out in my lipstick drawer as the prettiest. It smells really nice too, like flowery perfume but i can see that some people wouldn't like that. It goes on opaque in one coat and stays for a decent amount of time - around 3 hours before i need a touch up.

Excuse the bad skin!

I'm so happy i picked this up as i know now why everyone raves about these so much, they really are fantastic quality with great shades. I haven't got a single lipstick in my collection that looks like this which is saying something as i must have like 20+ pinks!  If you're looking for a great nudey pink for everyday wear or one that can easily pull together a smokey eye look this is the one for you!

Benefit's Bella Bamba ♥

Benefit is one of those brands that i just love so much. I love everything from the quality of the products, to the funny names and the cute packaging. I especially love their blushes and being a blush addict, you know this was coming!

Benefit's boxed powders seem to be another of those "cult products" every beauty blogger and their mother has or wants. I have to admit, it's easy to see why. They come in so many gorgeous colours, the packaging is amazing and the product quality is top notch. I have Bella Bamba and i'm so in love with it, it probably isn't normal. I've been lusting after this particular blush for a long time, but couldn't justify it as i have so many pink blushes. While online shopping at Boots i saw they had an offer on, if you buy two selected "premium beauty" products you get an extra 750points! I added it to my basket without a second thought and i'm glad i did!

The colour is a gorgeous shimmery watermelon pink with gold undertones. It's called a 3D Face powder, as it's great for defining. I love using it as it's so soft and easy to blend. At £23.50 it's not the most purse friendly product, but it's so worth it for the quality you're getting. Bella Bamba easily lasts 5 hours on me before needing an touching up.

What do you think of Bella Bamba? Tell me in the comments!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer ♥

After struggling with not getting enough sleep for years now, I've just come to accept these bright purple bags under my eyes are here to stay. I seem to be always trying out new concealers to try under my eyes and help to cover them up without looking cakey. I'm not going to lie i am a concealer-holic.

Sadly, some of the packaging has come off!

I must have tried most of the high street concealers and a few from high end and none gave me what i wanted! So, i picked up the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer as I'd heard some good reviews of it. I picked this up about 3/4 weeks ago now and I've got to say, i love it. I have it in the shade "Light" and although it's not super pale, it's easy to work with. When you twist it, you don't get loads of product which is great as it means you don't waste loads every time you use it. It has a very slight pink tone to it - which is there to help cover up any blue/purple bags. The texture is good, not too wet and it does stay on the skin pretty easily. I've been using this most days for a month and it's literally made the smallest dent in the product, i swear I'll have this one until i turn 40!

Swatch of Shade Light

I'm not 100% sure about the packaging though, the eraser/application being my main concern. Is it hygienic? I've heard from a few people who have tried to wash it and it didn't really work. Oh well, though, i still love it! :-)

Have you tried this product? What did you think? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

The One and Only Tag!

The other day Angelica from One Little Vice tagged me to try the new tag she'd created. After reading her answers, i thought i'd definetly have to give it a go. I love tag posts and i like how this one is a little bit different too! It was super hard to do though, i love so many products that sometimes it's almost impossible to choose just one!

The Question: If you could only have one ______ what would it be? And, in a few words, why?

I love my NYX Studio Perfect primer in Anti-redness. It not only helps keep my make up on for longer but also helps tone down the pinky tones on my face.

Base Product
I'd have to say, Rimmel Wake Me Up. I love it as it's really glowy and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin but you can still get decent coverage from it.

I've been loving my Revlon Photoready Concealer stick recently, as it feels so soft and creamy and blends super easily. I like how it can be used under the eyes as well as on blemishes too!

Bit of a cliché but i'm going to have to go with the Rimmel Stay Matte. £3.99 and easily one of the best setting powders around.

Blush (cream or powder)
This is the hardest one for me as i'm a bit of a blush addict! Um, probably my MAC Blush in "Fleur Powder" as it's such a gorgeous colour which can be worn sheer or built it.

Easy! My NYC Sunny Bronzer is the only bronzer i've tried that i've actually liked!

Ooooh, another hard one! My ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow has to be it though, i love the soft golden effect it has on the skin.

Make up Brush (single)
My Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, i'm so in love with it!

Eyebrow Product
This sounds terrible but i've yet to find a brow product i've liked yet! :/

Eye shadow (single)
My ELF Studio Eyeshadow in the colour Sand Dollar. The perfect white eyeshadow, which i love using around my inner corner as it's so pigmented.

My Soap and Glory Supercat liner easily! Its super pigmented, goes on so easily and doesn't smudge at all. Best liquid eyeliner i've used probably.

Another cliché answer as it's a cult product but the Benefit They're Real mascara is easily the best i've ever tried!

Lipstick, Lipgloss or Lip Stain
My Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 1o1! Perfect everyday colour really!

Lip Liner
This is easy for me as i only have like 3! But my Rimmel one!

Lip Balm
Now this is hard for me! Probably my Babylips in Cherry Me!

Nail Polish
My Bubblegum Barry M Nail Paint is easily my favourite ever :-)

Well, there you are! All my "One and Only" products! Please go check out the creator of this Tag Angelica, she's super lovely and her blog is so detailed :-).

Have you done this tag? What were your answers? Tell me in the comments!

Lots of love,

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams ♥

You might have seen in a haul post i did a little while ago, that while browsing on the NYX cosmetics website, i might have made a sneaky purchase or ten! I admit it, i am addicted to buying make up! But these little beauties caught my eye and then proceeded to add themselves to my basket.

I've raved about NYX a lot recently, their products are pretty good prices and their products are great quality. Recently, I've told myself to stop buying so many face products as i had so many more of them than eyes or lips! The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams looked heavenly. I have three, which came in a set for £12. They normally cost £5 each so it was a good deal!

The three shades i have are: "Antwerp" a coral, "Addis Ababa" a bright fuchsia and "Tokyo" a beautiful pale pink shade. Tokyo has easily become my favourite, it's so wearable for any occasion. Although they are matte, they're non-drying so for all you girls out there, who like me, have a lot of trouble with dry or chapped lips these won't make it worse! They have the most gorgeous smell ever though, they smell like vanilla cupcakes! Addis Ababa is easily the brightest shade, whereas Antwerp and Tokyo are quite muted and are easy to wear everyday. The colour pay off with them is pretty good, it doesn't take much to get an opaque colour and they seem to have an okay lasting time, around 3 hours. They dry quickly so they don't smudge. The NYX website has quite a few colours to choose from, anything and everything to nudes to pinks to your bright reds, so there is something for everybody!

Top to Bottom: Tokyo, Antwerp, Addis Ababa.

I'd recommend these so much as I've fallen in love with them! I can't stop wearing them or smelling them! I'll be picking up a few more colours too i think!

Have you tried these products? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

"Lifestyle Change"

I don't think there is anyone who can honestly say they wouldn't change something about their body. I've never met anyone anyway but like everyone else, i am extremely self conscious about some aspects of my body.

I've been unhappy with my weight for a long time, since i was about 14 really. I've always been a chubby girl and it gets me more and more down everytime i think about it. I've tried countless diets in the past - but i'm a very impatient person. I don't like the wait, i want to know if something is working as soon as possible. I also enjoy all the foods which are severely fattening and i really don't have the best diet at all. I eat a lot of junk, not enough fruit and veg and drink so many fizzy drinks.

I'm 5"5 and weight about 10 and a half stone.
While looking in the mirror the other day, i decided to try again. But this time, i'm going to write about it beforehand to try and keep me from temptation - as i hate admitting i'm wrong. My plan is to reach a weight that is healthy and that i'm comfortable with but with a few added bits and bobs too.

  • I'd like to start drinking more water as normally, i won't even drink 3 cups of water a day whereas they say 8 is a good amount!
  • I'd also like to cut down on the fizzy drinks - especially the full fat energy drinks.
  • I'd like to get more fit, as right now i can't even run down the stairs without getting out of breath.
  • I'd like for my thighs to stop touching as it just irritates my stretchmarks and causes me a lot of pain!
  • I'd want to start eating more healthily in general - less junk food and more veggies!
Ideally, i'd like to lose about a stone - or just get to a size ten. I'd be happy with that as i'm only small at 5"5! My lovely boyfriend is currently dieting as well which is good as it means i don't have to worry about him cooking me fatty foods! I'm going to be incorporating idea's from lots of different well known diets, to help me as i get bored very easily! I'll be posting an update hopefully after a little while!

Are you on a diet? Any tips? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

July Favourites ♥

July has been a great month. It's been sunny and hot with literally only one day of rain (a record for the UK probably!). This month has been a good one for trying new products. Most of this month's favourites are body or skin care I've noticed!

First up, i have a product i picked up a while ago on recommendation from a lot of people.  I've had a problem with stretchmarks this past year and they're very painful so a lot of people told me to try Bio Oil. I love how silky this feels on the skin and how much it instantly soothes any inflammation. So happy i picked this up, i haven't seen a difference yet with the appearance but i haven't been using it long enough! I also picked up the Palmer's Cocoa Butter which somehow I'd never tried, probably because i don't like chocolate/cocoa scents, which was recommended to me to help with stretchmarks.Again, it helps soothe my skin and makes it feel a lot more hydrated. I wasn't sure if I'd like it so i only bought the little mini size, but I'm definitely going to repurchase the full size!

I've spoken about the Garnier Moisture Match Goodbye Dry, in part 1 on my skincare series here. I was walking around Boots and picked this little baby up on a whim, as i really liked the idea of them. I instantly fell in love with the product as it absorbs into the skin so quickly, makes my skin feel hydrated for ages and all for only £3.99 while it was on offer. As it's been so sunny recently, my body has picked up a slight tan whereas my face hasn't! So I've been loving my NYC Sunny Bronzer to help give my face a bit of a tan. I love this bronzer as it doesn't come out orange or too dark for my pale skin.

Last but not least, is a new-ish purchase which i fell in love with before I'd even bought it after hearing so many beauty guru's/bbloggers rave on about it, is the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Lingerie Pink. I've been wanting this for ages but the price tag put me off! Finally, i decided to add it to my Boots basket and haven't looked back since. It's a beautiful, pale pink milky shade. I will be having a full review coming soon!

What products are in your July Favourites? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo
