Make up Starter kit: Face! ♥

Today I'm talking about a subject I've wanted to do for ages! I wish I'd read one of these when i first started getting into make up! Until i was 16, i literally owned pretty much no make up. I think i had a mascara, a clear lip gloss and one eyeshadow! When i did dive deeper into the beauty world, i was so unprepared as i didn't have a clue what was good and what wasn't!

Today's post is all about face make up, with posts of eyes and lips coming soon. My favourite make up is face easily, i seem to have like 4x as much of it as i do lips or eyes!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
I swear i must rave about this in every other blogpost i write but it really is great. It's super easy to use as you don't need a lot of product to see a result and it doesn't look cakey on the skin. Perfect for bringing to school and using to set your face after PE! At only £3.99 it's purse friendly too!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Another cult product! Great coverage concealer which lasts all day easily. I like how it helps concealer anything - blemishes or under eye circles! It's only £4.19 too so it's easy to pick up if you're only on pocket money.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
A great foundation for a really good price. At only £6.99 it's very cheap and you get quite a lot of product too. Lasts all day, with low/medium coverage to start but can be built up. It even has a really large shade range, with lots for paler skin too! It retails for £6.99 but is often on offer!

MUA Lolly &  Marshmallow
Now for my favourite subject - blushes! One of my favourite drugstore/high street blushes have got to be the MUA £1 powder blushes. The have 6 shades and at only £1 you can have a couple and experiment. Silky soft and highly pigmented, plus they last for ages too!

All these products are perfect for someone just starting to get into make up! Part 2 & 3 will be up in the next few weeks!

What would be in your starter kit? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
Rosie xo

  1. When I was 15/16 I wish someone had taught me about foundation shades, not wearing green and purple eyeshadow (yes together) and about how important blusher is to add a bit of colour to the cheeks! Great Post will be looking forward to part 2!

  3. I love this powder, it's a must-have! I haven't tried MUA blushes yet but I'm really curious and can't wait to get them. And I really (finally) need to get that concealer! Everyone's crazy about it xx

  4. In my school all the girls wore max factor pan stik as a foundation which is hilar when we look back on it now, caked wasn't the word for it. I'm so glad I didn't start wearing make up until a bit later and I think my first foundation was max factor second skin (probably in a darker shade than was needed) but I'm all about the nude natural look now thank goodness.
