Sleek Blush "Antique"! ♥

I don't know about you but i associate some brands with specific make up products. Sleek is a brand that whenever i hear the name i think "blushes" which are probably one of my favourite beauty products to buy. They're incredibly affordable at only £4.49 and i'd say the quality is easily one of the best i've ever found. Whenever Sleek bring out a limited edition collection, i always rush out to pick up the blush, as they're just too good to be allowed!

The Sleek blush in "Antique" is from the Vintage Romance Collection, which is a really lovely collection for the Autumn/Fall time. Antique is a dusty rose colour with soft silver glitter running through it. Sleeks packaging is lovely, black and sturdy feeling with the shade name on the back, they look a lot more expensive than they really are.

I love using this blush as it creates a really natural looking flush to the cheeks. With these blushes you can use them lightly for a subtle flush of colour to the cheeks or built up for a more dramatic look. I love how defined my cheeks look when i wear this blush. The staying power of these blushes is amazing, they easily last 10hours on me without any fading whatsoever. Bargain!

Beauty Haul! ♥

This weekend, i thought i'd treat myself to some new beauty goodies to celebrate myself getting a full time office job after so long! I knew a couple of bits that i wanted and some i just couldn't resist!

First off, i went into House of Fraser and picked up my first ever NARS product. I'm really not sure why it took me so long to own a NARS product but i now finally, am the proud owner of a NARS Palette in "Fairy Kiss" (£32). I originally went there to pick up Albatross as i've wanted it for ages but as i'd recently bought a new highlighter i thought i'd pick up one of their infamous palettes.  Another higher end purchase is the Too Faced Candlelit Glow Highlighting Powder Duo (£25) as i had been wanting it for so long. It's gorgeous and i love highlighters as they really help complete a look in my opinion.

In Boots i picked up a couple of product i've had my eyes on for a while. First of all, i picked up one of the new Barry M Palettes as i'm very curious to see what the quality is like. I picked up the "Smoking Hot Palette" (£6.49). It contains 6 eyeshadows and 1 blush.  I also picked up Models Own "Obsidian" which i believe is in the Velvet Goth collection. I'm excited to try this and i love that the cap is velvet! I also picked up a lipstick from the new Collection Gothic Glam range (why is everything 'goth' at the moment?!) called "Scorned" (£2.99) which is a gorgeous purple. Last but not least, i bought the Maybelline Blush in "Flash Plum" (£5.19)! It's a perfect Autumn cheek shade.

What have you bought recently? Have you got anything i got? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,

My Slimfat Diet: Week Two! ♥

Hey guys! Before i start with the actual post I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who commented or tweeted me giving me support after the post on week one was posted, you really made my week, so thank you!

Anyway, another week on Slimfast. I was really kindly sent some Slimfast goodies to help me with my diet. I've been super good this week (except for my "treat" which was Mexican last weekend but i didn't go overboard!) and stayed within my calorie goal! I've been trying some more foods this week for my evening meals.

I've been loving the Weight Watchers ready meals, (after a 10hour day at work, a microwave is all i can manage for now) and I've enjoyed every one I've tried especially the Bolognese Al Forno one which is super tasty. I've also discovered the Morrisons "Savers" range which is ready meals all of which have low calories. They're tasty and the lower calories means i can have more snacks throughout the day. I've also been loving tomato soup and a healthy carbonara recipe i found!

As Chocolate is my favourite Slimfast flavour, i drink it more often than not! It stops me craving sweets as it tastes sweet and just all around yummy. I've always assumed diets = boring food but obviously, i know that isn't the case now. I'm actually starting to enjoy diet coke now which is weird considering how before i wouldn't even go near the stuff.

I'm trying to decide how much longer to do Slimfast for, whether it be another week or two. I've been getting loads of compliments from people saying that i look like I've lost weight, which is always nice to hear. I've weighed myself and have lost 5lbs! Which I'm super happy about. I will be doing Slimfast for another 2 weeks then moving onto another diet!

Have you been dieting? Have you tried SlimFast? Tell me in the comments!

Max Factor FaceFinity 3in1 Foundation! ♥

I don't know about you, but i seem to be constantly on the look out for my holy grail foundation. I have several foundations i love, like my MAC Studio Sculpt and the Rimmel Wake me up but i'm still looking for the perfect foundation for my skin. The perfect foundation to me is medium to high coverage, a match to my skintone and long lasting too.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
A while ago i decided to treat myself while in Boots to some new beauty bits. I'd run out of foundation beforehand so i knew i needed a new one. I decided to pick up the Max Factor Face Finity 3in1 Foundation (£8.99) as i'd heard some great things about it from other #bbloggers. I picked it up in the shade "Natural" as it seemed to be the lightest shade they had, i've since realised they actually do have an ivory shade, which is good as the only thing i didn't like about this foundation was the colour. It easily lasts all day, i apply make up at 7am and it's still going strong at 7pm. I like the coverage, i'd describe it as medium but can be built up to full as i haven't noticed it caking. I like how it's advertised as a primer, concealer and foundation all in one although i do use a concealer with it as i have some serious under eye circles! All in all, i've really enjoyed this foundation and will definetly be picking it up in the lightest shade now i know they have one!

Mini Haul! ♥

After not being able to treat myself in ages, i went shopping for a couple of bits I'd been wanting for a while. I didn't want to go mad but there were a few things i did really want to buy. First, i went to MAC and picked up the MSF in "Soft and Gentle"(£22) as I've been wanting a new highlight for ages and I've been lusting after this one after seeing so many gorgeous swatches. I also picked up the Sleek "Antique" blush  (£4.49) too, which is limited edition. I love Sleek blushes and i seem to be building up my collection of them very quickly.

 photo minihaul_zps4721780d.jpg
I also picked up the Blanx White Shock Intensive Whitening Treatment (£15.99) as I've been wanting to try this for ages! I want super white teeth and i can't wait to see how this works. Last but not least, i picked up one of the new Rimmel ColourRush Colour Balms in "Rumour Has it" (£5.99) as i love Rimmel products and the colour looked lovely!

Here's what i bought this weekend, it's not much but it's all things i've wanted to try for a while!

My SlimFast Diet: Week One! ♥

Today's post is a bit more personal guys. I've struggled with years with my weight. I've felt chubby for so long but never tried to get healthier. I've never had great will power, until recently the longest i'd been able to stay on a diet was one day! When i started my new job, i decided that i'd start a new diet with it too and this is how my first week has been.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
This is hard to say, as i'm super embarassed by my weight but i'm 5"5 and weight 154lbs (11stone). I have rather large thighs and belly. One of the main reasons i want to lose weight is i have stretchmarks on my inner thighs which get irritated as my thighs rub them. It's really painful. I'd also like to be able to have the confidence to wear little dresses and skirts but i don't feel comfortable in them now.

I've been doing the SlimFast diet for a week and a few days now and even i'm surprised at how good i've been. I've turned down a pizza, a mcdonalds breakfast (though everyone else at work had one!), a chinese takeaway and plenty of unhealthy fatty meals. I've stopped drinking energy drinks and coca cola and drinking only diet coke, water and skimmed milk.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic The way i'm dieting is one SlimFast shake for breakfast and one for lunch with a 600calorie meal at dinner. Everyday i keep my calorie goal just below 1200calories but with good, healthy ingredients. Each shake is 230calories and are meal replacements. I was skeptical at first, i thought the shakes wouldn't fill me up and i'd be constantly be craving naughty foods but they fill me up enough that i don't snack on junk food.

For main meals, i've found some really great recipes for filling, healthy but yummy meals. I've been enjoying scrambled eggs with beans on wholemeal toast (450cals), tuna and sweetcorn with wholemeal pasta (320cals, which means i get some healthy snacks!) and weight watchers meals. For snacks, i either have fruit or some Special K Cracker crisps which are 86calories. If you'd like to see some healthy recipes, comment below!

I'll be weighing myself tomorrow night to see how much i've lost. I'm planning on doing SlimFast for another 2 weeks then switching onto another healthy diet. Thank you for reading this post, it's been really hard for me to write as i'm quite embarrassed and sad about it all.

theBalm Balm Shelter "Material Girl" ♥

Don't you just hate it when brands you love aren't widely available where you live? I do. One of my favourite brands, theBalm, isn't widely available here in the UK. Little did i know that Beauty Chamber sold them (which made me a very happy Rosie!).

Today I'm talking about the theBalm Balm Shelter Tinted Gloss "Material Girl"* (£12, but on offer for £6 right now!). I said in a previous post how much I'm loving the bolder lip colours for Autumn and this is the shade i was drawn to. Material Girl is a sheer plum colour (it looks a lot more red in the tube) which is great for anyone wanting to try the darker lips but doesn't want something too dramatic. It smells heavenly, like liquorice (which i love the smell of) and isn't overly sticky or too thin. It stays for a reasonable amount of time, about 2 hours before i need to reapply which for a gloss, I'm happy with. I love the fact it's quite sheer - as a lot of people assume the more pigmented a product is, the better BUT we don't always want full on in your face colour. This lip gloss is perfect for a more subtle darker lip, suitable for school or work.

I love theBalm's packaging - it's always so pretty and cute i never want to get rid of it! All in all, i really enjoyed this product and can't wait to use it more and more this A/W.

NYX Love In Florence "Gelato for Two" Palette! ♥

I love NYX Cosmetics products, so much. Everything I've tried of theirs I've ended up loving. I try to make sure i try new products of theirs as they quality really impresses me. I love eyeshadows - especially palettes as the shades pretty much always work really well together.

The NYX Love In Florence Palette in "Gelato for Two"* (£8.00) is a lovely little palette which matches up to the high standard I've come to expect from NYX products. I love the range in colours, it has a bit for everyone a dark navy blue almost black and a light pinky mauve. I love the mixture of different finishes, some with shimmer and some matte. It's really easy to create a variety of different looks with these 5 colours. They're all fairly pigmented, silky and not chalky at all. They have a fair wear time too as they're still looking good after 10 hours at work, which is an achievement! My favourite shades in the palette are the smokey grey and the shimmery peachy gold.  With a primer these can easily last all day and night with minimal touching up. They're all such gorgeous colours and the formula is top notch. NYX you've gone and done it again, stolen my heart!

My Autumn Beauty Staples! ♥

I love switching up my make up as the seasons change - especially as the difference between what i put on my face in summer and autumn is so large. In summer, i prefer light coverage and bright colours whereas during the autumn and winter i love high coverage and dramatic darker looks. I love incorporating burgundy and purple into my make up during the A/W too as well as using lots and lots of red lippie!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
The Sleek Blush "Pomegranate" (£4.49) is a gorgeous blush that i haven't been able to stop using since i bought it. I love the quality of the Sleek Blushes and their staying power and pigmentation are impressive. This blush is very pigmented, you only need the smallest amount of product on your brush to get the perfect look. Another new purchase is the Maybelline ColorTattoo "Metallic Pomegranate" (£4.99). The Color Tattoos are renowned for being long wearing and extremely pigmented with every shade (except one) being a metallic finish. This gorgeous shade can easily be used on it's own or with other products to emphasise it. I love big dramatic eye looks during A/W so the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen (£6.00) is a product I've loved for ages. It's the only eyeliner pen i feel comfortable using. It's super black and doesn't smudge or fade throughout the day. The Benefit "They're Real" Mascara (£19.50)is a bblogging favourite, i wrote a full review of this product here and i was so impressed. It made my lashes look really long and thick really quickly! The only problem with this mascara is taking it off.... The Sleek Lipstick "Russian Roulette" (£4.99) is a gorgeous vampy red, that i talked about in my Red Lips post here. It's super matte and just slightly drying on the lips. The Maybelline SuperStay 14hr Lipstick "Always Plum" (£6.99) is a beautiful pigmented plum colour. I've been wearing this so much recently, it does last a while (i haven't had it on 14hrs though!). It smells so nice! Last but not least is the Benefit "Dallas" (£23.50) which i love to use on the apples on my cheek for a really natural flush of colour. It has no shimmer and is just a really universally flattering colour!

Well, those are going to be some of my most used products this A/W already i can tell!

E.L.F Daily Brush Cleaner! ♥

If you read my "Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag" the other day, you'll know i'm terrible at deep cleaning my brushes, but i do spot clean my brushes most days (i do my eye brushes pretty much everyday). I spot clean them so often as i don't (yet) have a massive collection of make up brushes, so if i need to use two colours, i need to clean my brush!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I bought the E.L.F Daily Brush Cleaner about a year ago and it's still half full. It has a really fresh smell (it smells more chemically if you spray too much!) which i like. All i do is spray twice onto the brush hair's and make circular motions on a piece of tissue until it stops leaving colour behind. It takes less than 2 minutes to do and really helps me get really dramatic eye looks with lot's of different shadows. I love the fact i don't have to wait ages for my brushes to dry either, literally a minute is enough time! It's £3.75 for 60ml which is great for keeping brushes clean. The bottle is small enough you can travel with it too.

Maybelline Color Tattoo "Metallic Pomegranate" First Impressions ♥

The Maybelline Color Tattoo's may just be one of the most talked about make up products recently. I never used to care much for Maybelline but they've really been stepping up their game recently with the quality of their products. I don't think I've met someone who hasn't tried the Color Tattoo's.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
The Packaging is GORGEOUS!
"Metallic Pomegranate" is literally the most perfect Autumn eye product for me. The colour is absolutely gorgeous, a warm pomegranate shade with some soft golden shimmer. The colour is so pretty, i have enjoyed wearing this on it's own and as a base for other shadows too. It's so easy to work with - it blends super easily, is highly pigmented and lasts so long (but not 24hours? well, i hope no-one leaves their make up on that long!). I love how after you've applied it, it becomes quite smudge proof so you won't be ruining your make up every time you touch your eye. I've not tried many cream shadows before - Maybelline and MAC ones only but i think i prefer this to my MAC Paint Pot (which is saying a lot!).  The Maybelline Color Tattoos are £4.99, so they're very affordable. I can't wait to try more of the colours in the line now!

Bellapierre Shimmer Eyeshadow "Earth"! ♥

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I don't know about you but I've always seemed to prefer pressed powder eyeshadows rather than loose. I've always found loose powders to mean a lot of mess and fiddling! Also, they tend to be in chunky packaging too! Recently, I've been trying out the Bellapierre Shimmer Eyeshadow Powder in "Earth"* (£12.99) and i actually ended up liking it more than i thought i would!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As the name suggest it's a very shimmery product - but i think it's an absolutely gorgeous colour and the shimmer really works i think. I've loved putting this on my lid with a smokey brown eye as it makes everything feel so Autumn like! It's easy to use, and a little goes a long way. No need to keep putting more on the brush. The colour is a gorgeous, soft peachy almost rose gold colour? It's a very hard shade for me to describe but i think it's one of the prettiest colours in my collection. It lasts for a good amount of time - all day with a primer (which i always use!).  At £12.99 the price is pretty good for a product that would look so good on a night out.

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag! ♥

Hi there guys. Today i have another tag post for you, one i spotted Emily doing on her blog! This tag is so me, as I'm a super procrastinator, like seriously, I'm brilliant at it!

Name a Beauty regime you rarely do?
I never, ever blow dry my hair. Like so rarely I'm not even sure why i bother owning a hairdryer! Blow drying just makes my hair frizzy anyway and it takes way too long so air drying is much easier for me!

Is washing your make up brushes something you do regularly?
Erm, i spot clean my eye make up brushes pretty much everyday? But a deep clean? No! Not at all, I'm quite lazy and i don't even have that many brushes. I do it enough as i don't want to be putting yucky brushes on my face but i don't do it like all the time.

How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
This is so bad but i won't repaint them until it's so chipped that there is more of my nail showing than polish. I really hate painting my nails, so much.

How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?
Well, if it's a product i use like everyday, I'll buy is as soon as possible! But that depends on money and when I'm at the shop! But for other products? I've been wanting to get some of the products on my wishlist for over 6 months and i still haven't got them! oops.

What is your worst beauty habit?
Not bothering to fill in my brows recently. I haven't found a brow product i like so that's the excuse I'm using.

Name something non-beauty related that you putt off doing all the time?
Laundry :( so much effort! Especially in winter when you can't hang it outside to dry so it just clutters up your house!

When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?
I'm actually the opposite, i love to get ready early! I don't like rushing or not taking as much time as I'd like to so I'm always ready at least 30minutes before i need to leave! Much less stress that way.

Can you commit to spending bans?
I haven't tried one but i haven't bought new make up in like, 2 months but that's just down to me having no money to eat with let alone buy make up. If i have money, it'll be going on make up. Or hair stuff. Or chinese food.

How organised is your make up and nail polish collections?
Actually, I'm pretty good at that. I'm really funny about having things in a certain order. My make up collection has 6 drawers:
- Palettes,
- Eye quads/trios/duos/singles,
- Cream shadows/eyeliner/mascara,
- Foundation/Concealer/Powder
- Blush/Bronzer/Highlighter
- Lipstick/Lipgloss/Lip liner

Then i use a nail polish rack for my nail polish as i don't have very many!

Wow, I'm actually pretty lazy, Oops!
I Tag:
Ellis from Elrbx
Sophia from Tattooed Tea Lady
Gemma from Make Up Magpie
Laura from A Scottish Lass

Haul! ♥

As some of you may know, I've been on an unintentional spending ban recently, as I've had no money as I've been out of paid work! This week i decided to treat myself to some lovely make up goodies after not buying any for almost two months (which is a massive achievement for me!). As the season's changed, I've been needing some new make up staples to add to my collection to suit the weather!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I repurchased the Rimmel Stay Matte in Translucent as it's my everyday powder and i swear by it! I also picked up a brand new foundation, well brand new to me, as i have yet to try it but everyone raves about it: The Max Factor 3in1 Foundation in "Natural"! I'll have a full review on this coming up once i use it more. I also picked up the Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in dark brown. Although my hair may be platinum blonde, it's all from a bottle so my eyebrows are actually my natural colour which is a very dark brown!

Now onto the Autumn beauty buys! I've been lusting over the Sleek Pomegranate blush for ages as i love their blushes so much! It looks like the perfect Autumn shade too! I can't wait to try this some more. I've been wanting to try the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate (wow, lot's of pomegranates in this post!) after seeing everyone swatching it and loving it! Last but not least i picked up the Maybelline lipstick in "Always Plum" .

My Picks for Red Lips! ♥

I don't know about you, but i love a good red lippy! Red lipstick is a timeless classic and i love pairing it with "no-make up" make up as it instantly adds a bit of glam to your look. I think everyone suits a red lip too and as pretty much every brand has at least one red lipstick, it's easy to find one you'll fall in love with.

In my make up collection, i have five red lip products (I'm including lipgloss because why not?!). To some that may seem like a lot but to others that may seem way too small an amount! I have a mixture of different products like lipstick, lipgloss, lip stains and lip lacquers!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush* (£12) is a product i really enjoy using. I wrote a full review on this lip blush a few months back and i still like it as much as i did then (you can read the review here). It's super hydrating, soft and incredibly pigmented! The Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer "Big Bang" (£6.49) is a bblogger favourite. Intensely raved about and for good reason, it's so bright and pigmented. The pigmentation of a lipstick but with the shine of a lipgloss? Heaven. Another product i recently reviewed (and raved about) is the Collection Volume Sensation Lipstick "Cherry Pop" (£2.99). I picked this product up while impulse buying and I'm super happy i did as it's just such a lovely formula, you can read my full review of this here. The Sleek True Colour Lipstick "Russian Roulette" (£4.99) is another impulse buy. I've been really getting into matte lip products the last few months and really wanted a matte red too. It's also a shade of red i didn't already have in my collection - as it's a more sophisticated, dark red unlike the postbox red's i usually buy! It isn't drying in the slightest, lasts for ages and leaves my lips nice and soft too! My last lippy is the Maybelline Color Sensational Cream Gloss "Red Love" (£6.19) which i think sadly, is discontinued :(. I don't see why though as i love it so much! It's so pigmented, easily one of the most pigmented lipglosses I've come across, and not at all sticky (ew).

L to R: Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush, Rimmel Apocalips Big Bang, Collection Cherry Pop,  Sleek Russian Roulette, Maybelline Red Love.

There you are! All my red lip products :-) Can you tell i love red lips?

Do you like red lips? What products your favourite? Tell me in the comments!
