My SlimFast Diet: Week One! ♥

Today's post is a bit more personal guys. I've struggled with years with my weight. I've felt chubby for so long but never tried to get healthier. I've never had great will power, until recently the longest i'd been able to stay on a diet was one day! When i started my new job, i decided that i'd start a new diet with it too and this is how my first week has been.

This is hard to say, as i'm super embarassed by my weight but i'm 5"5 and weight 154lbs (11stone). I have rather large thighs and belly. One of the main reasons i want to lose weight is i have stretchmarks on my inner thighs which get irritated as my thighs rub them. It's really painful. I'd also like to be able to have the confidence to wear little dresses and skirts but i don't feel comfortable in them now. 

I've been doing the SlimFast diet for a week and a few days now and even i'm surprised at how good i've been. I've turned down a pizza, a mcdonalds breakfast (though everyone else at work had one!), a chinese takeaway and plenty of unhealthy fatty meals. I've stopped drinking energy drinks and coca cola and drinking only diet coke, water and skimmed milk.



Image and video hosting by TinyPic The way i'm dieting is one SlimFast shake for breakfast and one for lunch with a 600calorie meal at dinner. Everyday i keep my calorie goal just below 1200calories but with good, healthy ingredients. Each shake is 230calories and are meal replacements. I was skeptical at first, i thought the shakes wouldn't fill me up and i'd be constantly be craving naughty foods but they fill me up enough that i don't snack on junk food. 

For main meals, i've found some really great recipes for filling, healthy but yummy meals. I've been enjoying scrambled eggs with beans on wholemeal toast (450cals), tuna and sweetcorn with wholemeal pasta (320cals, which means i get some healthy snacks!) and weight watchers meals. For snacks, i either have fruit or some Special K Cracker crisps which are 86calories. If you'd like to see some healthy recipes, comment below!

I'll be weighing myself tomorrow night to see how much i've lost. I'm planning on doing SlimFast for another 2 weeks then switching onto another healthy diet. Thank you for reading this post, it's been really hard for me to write as i'm quite embarrassed and sad about it all.

  2. I would like more recipes and would like to know how you are getting on! I'm 4ft11 & nearly 13 stone :( I have no inspiration for meals whatsoever and have no idea where to even start! Any posts on tips or anything would be useful! :) keep up the good work!! xxx

  4. I have done this diet and lost a fair bit within the first week because of not eating as much and such. The second week is harder but as long as your dedicated you will go far with it! Good luck and keep us updated!
