NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray! ♥

A while back, i won the #NYXinNEXT twitter competition and got a lovely goody bag of NYX goodies! I love NYX cosmetics, and I'm always looking to try more of their products. They're great in price and even better in quality!

Now, I've never tried a setting spray before, but i was excited to see this as i could finally see if they're worth the hype! Thankfully, i have the setting spray in the Dewy finish which i prefer! I think it looks fresh and healthy on the skin!

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray (£8 80ml) is a welcome addition to my make up routine. I've enjoyed using this as (especially on nights out) my make up can either fade or look less than fresh. Nothing i hate more than having to re-apply make up! When my make up fades, it is always my cheeks first, but since using this, I've found it takes a lot longer to fade. I love the fact this kept all my make up looking like I'd just applied it well hours later. The dewy finish is really lovely, not overly dewy that you look greasy but enough to give you a slight glow of natural dewiness!

I'm super impressed with this setting spray and will definitely repurchase when i run out!

Wishlist ♥

I can't be the only person with pages upon pages on products i want to buy but it must add up to at least a million pounds? Oh? Just me? That's okay then. Since i started blogging, I've tried so many new products and I'm constantly trying more. My excuse is I'm on the hunt for my holy grail products!

1 - theBalm Meet Matte Nude Palette - I've fallen in love with this brand, especially their palettes. And after all, a girl can never have too many neutral palettes...
2 - Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo - I've heard so many great reviews on this and i love that 'just-got-out-the-sea-messy-waves' look!
3 - ELF Lip Exfoliator - This to me is such a clever idea, the only problem i have with other lip scrubs is that they can be messy whereas this eliminates that!
4 - NYX Sexbomb Pallete - Sadly, this isn't available on the UK site yet, but I'll be grabbing it as soon as possible!
5 - Wet N Wild ColorIcon Trio "Don't Steal My Thunder" - This little trio is right up my street. I love smokey eyes and after trying out "Walking on Eggshells" i can't wait to try more from WnW!

There you go, that's my current wishlit!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser! ♥

I, like a lot of other people, gave in to the hype surrounding Maybellines Baby Lips. I love them but i know not everyone likes them! So, when i saw that they'd released another 'baby' product i couldn't wait to try it. I love testing out primers as you can really tell at the end of the day whether or not it's worked. I do find it very funny that Maybelline had to add "Only For Adults" on the packaging....
The Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Lightweight Primer (£7.99) really impressed me. Maybelline claims "for smooth and poreless looking skin" which is always a plus. I don't personally suffer from lots of visible pores, except a small amount on my nose, but this primer easily made them vanish. As well as 'erasing' pores, after applying the primer, my skin looks and feel so smooth and soft. When used, it helps mattify the skin and stops any shine even under make up. I have dry skin and don't often get oily, but this does stop any shininess i get on my forehead throughout the day.

For me, this is another great product added to the 'Baby' line from Maybelline and I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing more products added *hint hint maybelline*.

MUA Matte Lipstick "Pouty Pink" ♥

Recently, i went on a bit of a lipstick splurge. When I'm shopping for make up i will, more often than not, have mostly face products. A brand i always look out for when it comes to new releases is MUA, as they're product are very low in price but they've got some gems in their lines. When i saw they'd released a line of matte lipsticks, i couldn't wait to get my hands on them and test them out.

Make Up Academy (MUA) Matte Lipstick in "Pouty Pink" (£1) was a bit of a let down for me. In my opinion, their products either really impress me or they fall short of my expectations. For me, the problems with this lipstick were although the shade is really lovely, it was too sheer for me. I've always found matte lipsticks to have better colour pay off but with this lipstick, i had to keep running this over my lips repeatedly to see a difference which brings me onto my next problem. The formula. It was so dry and hard to use. Applying this to my lips felt like i was hurting myself. They're weren't soft or creamy, like I'd come to expect of matte lipsticks but very drying on the lips and literally tugged at my lips while applied. I personally feel that this product emphasized any lines on my lips or cracks.

I love MUA as a brand, and of course no brand is perfect. There are bound to be products i don't like from every brand.

Urban Decay Ocho Loco 2 Set! ♥

Urban Decay is probably my favourite high end brand ever - i've loved every single product of their's that i've tried and the prices are very reasonable! Until recently, i'd mostly just tried their palettes and hadn't gone for any of their other products. I've heard a lot of praise for the 24/7 Glide-on Eyeliners - so i was super happy to receive this set for Christmas!

Urban Decay Ocho Loco 2 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set (£40) has 8 full size eyeliners and a pencil sharpener. "Ocho Loco" means Crazy Eight in Spanish which explains the number of eyeliners and how bright some of the colours are! The shades are: Tornado, Ultraviolet, Mars, Deep End, Pervesion, Crave, Twice Baked and Roach. All of the pencils are extremely pigmented, there is no need to press hard with these, they leave a creamy line of colour with the slightest touch!
I love the formula of these too, so creamy and soft so you don't have to tug on the delicate skin of your eyelid. They're extremely long wearing, lasting all day and into the evening easily. I'd say they are maybe too long wearing as they can be quite difficult to remove! I've tried smudging them and haven't succeeded. I'm beyond impressed with these and they are easily my favourite eyeliner pencils now! Perversion being the perfect everyday ultra black, but i've loved using some of the brighter colours too like Deep End and Roach to bring some oomph into a look.

This set is also great value for money as individually each pencil would cost £14 and in the set there are 5 exclusive shades!

Clean &Clear Morning Energy Facial Scrub! ♥

When it comes to skincare, i mostly stick with what i know. I'm a creature of habit but recently, I've been trying lots of new skincare items and incorporating them into my daily routines. Before, i swore by my Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub which i spoke about here

One of the new products I've been testing out is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Energising daily facial scrub. My skin type is very dry and sensitive, so i always have to be careful when it comes to what i use. Thankfully, this product is as gentle as i hoped. I mostly picked this up due to the claim that it energises skin. As someone who doesn't sleep well, my skin ends up looking really dull and lifeless and i bought this in the hopes of combating that.  While the scrub did a great job of gently exfoliating my face and removing all dead skin and the like, i don't feel i saw much "skin energising". So all in all, I'm in the middle with this product. I like it but it hasn't met the expectations that i bought it with. For a good price high street scrub though, it works very well. If you're more looking for the exfoliating aspect, I'd recommend trying this!

Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask! ♥

I know that on this blog, 90% of what i review is make up. Truth is, I'm a fussy person. I know what i like and when i find a product that works for me, i stay loyal. But recently, I've been picking up a lot more haircare products to try.

As I've been dying my hair for the last 9 years and bleaching it for the last 4, my hair has had it's fair share of damage. Some of that through the dye and some because for a few years, i did nothing but straighten my hair obsessively just to 'tease' it so i looked like Russell brand. So, as a result of the punishment I've inflicted upon my hair the last decade, it's damaged. I had a lot of hair cut off a year ago, which took off most of the damaged parts but now I'm on a mission to keep my hair as healthy as possible.
I love hair masks as much as i love face masks. Whenever i use one, i feel really relaxed and pampered. Also, i found the effects of a hair mask are much easier to feel/see than a face mask!

I found this Argan Oil hair mask in Home Bargains for the bargain (hehe) price of £1. Yes you read that right. My expectations weren't particularly high due to the price (shame on me!) but i was so impressed with this mask. I use this once a week now, applying to wet, freshly washed hair and leave for about 5-10 minutes. The texture is very thick and silky soft and it's easy to apply to my hair. I always avoid the roots of my hair and just focus on the lengths and the ends as well as my fringe. It's easy to rinse out and as soon as you touch your hair you can feel the difference.

After using this, my hair is softer and healthier - both in looks and texture. It helps add shine too which is always a plus. It doesn't weigh down your hair as it's easy to wash out. This product has easily become my number 1 hair mask I've tried (even beating the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, which i never thought possible) and for only £1 it's such a steal.

Wet n Wild ColorIcon "Walking on Eggshells" ♥

I can't even count how many times I've wished Wet n Wild was sold in the UK. I've been watching beauty guru's and reading beauty blogs for a few years now and everyone raves about their products, especially the ColorIcon palettes! On a whim recently, i made a cheeky order on Amazon of the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Trio in "Walking on Eggshells".
Walking on Eggshells has 3 colours, which can be used separately on together to create a soft golden-brown smokey eye. I really like the helpful words on each of the colours, "browbone" "crease" and "eyelid" which is great for anyone new to make up! The eyeshadows are unbelievably pigmented and last such a good amount of time with no smudging. My favourite shade is the eyelid colour! The feeling of the shadows is very soft and they're easy to use and blend. All 3 colours in this trio are shimmer, but they do have palettes containing matte shades too. I'm so pleased i finally placed an order for one of these.

Would anyone like to see a look using this trio? Tell me in the comments!

A Lipstick Haul? ♥

When it comes to make up, my vice is blush and palettes, whereas for a lot of other people I've noticed they prefer lipsticks. I do love lipsticks, i just so rarely buy new ones! So yesterday, i went shopping and accidentally bought 6 different lipsticks? Oops!

First off, i had to pick up two of the new MUA Matte Lipsticks as I've been hearing so many great things about them! I picked up two shades "Peachy Keen" and "Pouty Pink". These are both £1 each, these were the only two shades left at my local Superdrug but i think they both look pretty! I also picked up two of the Revlon Lip Butters as i love the ones i already own and wanted to try some new colours! The shades i have are "Sugar Plum" and "Candy Apple".  These are currently on offer in Boots as 2 for £10, and they're usually £7.99, bargain!

I also picked up some Maybelline bits including the new Baby Skin Primer! I've been so excited to try this since they released it! I also picked up a Maybelline SuperStay 14hr Lipstick in "On and On Pink" as it really caught my eye as a gorgeous pink! (I'm a terrible impulse shopper!). Finally, i popped into my local Urban Decay too as i wanted to try some new products (and to check if they had the Naked3 in yet!) so i decided to try one of the Revolution lipsticks in "Native" as it's literally the prettiest nude shade I've seen. I also couldn't resist the mini Primer Potion!

That's all i got this time, I'm not sure how i managed to get that many lipsticks but I'm not sorry!

What have you bought recently? Tell me in the comments!

Collection Shimmer Shades "Blushalicious" Review! ♥

I think everyone has that beauty product they just can't stop buying even though they must have at least 50. For me, that's blush. I love blush - it can make such a difference to the face. Without blush, your face looks strange and all one colour and who doesn't want a gorgeous healthy looking flush of colour on their cheeks?!

Recently while doing a bit of shopping, i spied this blush that I'd been wanting to try for a while! The Collection Shimmer Shade in "Blushalicious" is like all other Collection products, a great price at only £4.19 for 12g of product. For high street/drugstore, that's a very large amount of product. The blush is made up of four different colour squares of blush - a bright pink, a mauve, a light peach and a pinky brown (I'm terrible at describing colours...). As the name suggests, this product isn't matte, but quite shimmery. With the blush being 4 different colours, you have lots of different possibilities when it comes to what colour you'd like to have on your cheeks that day. My personal favourite is swirling my brush lightly over all 4 colours to create a really lovely shimmery pink which leaves the skin looking flushed but not obvious.

The quality is really good too - soft and easy to blend and not chalky at all. The pigmentation is good and easy to build up if necessary. I've found it stays on all day for me - without touch ups needed. I've really enjoyed this and am looking forward to trying more of Collections' blushes!

Estée Lauder | Double Wear! ♥

I don't know about you, but I'm constantly on a quest to find my Holy Grail foundation. I wear foundation most days, unless I'm just going to be in the house! The perfect foundation for me would be long lasting, pale and high coverage. After hearing beauty guru's and beauty bloggers rave about this foundation, i thought I'd finally pick it up using a gift card i got for Christmas (Thanks Dad!).

Estée Lauder Double Wear (£28.50 30ml) has impressed me. Although i normally hate using foundation that doesn't have a pump, i didn't find the lack of pump hindered the performance of the product whatsoever. I have this in the shade 'Shell' which is literally, the most perfect shade for me. It's pale enough for me but with a yellow tone that cancels out a lot of the redness of my skin. It's super high coverage and you only need the smallest amount of product. I was at first disappointed in the size of the product, but after using it, i know this will still last me a while!

Estée Lauder Doublewear Shell Swatch

Despite being high coverage, once applied to the skin and blended in, i couldn't feel it. No heaviness at all. The name "Stay in Place Make up" was definitely right, as this stayed looking flawless and lovely all night! This has definitely become my new favourite 'going out/special occasions' foundation as it just ticks all the boxes for me!
