I know that on this blog, 90% of what i review is make up. Truth is, I'm a fussy person. I know what i like and when i find a product that works for me, i stay loyal. But recently, I've been picking up a lot more haircare products to try.
As I've been dying my hair for the last 9 years and bleaching it for the last 4, my hair has had it's fair share of damage. Some of that through the dye and some because for a few years, i did nothing but straighten my hair obsessively just to 'tease' it so i looked like Russell brand. So, as a result of the punishment I've inflicted upon my hair the last decade, it's damaged. I had a lot of hair cut off a year ago, which took off most of the damaged parts but now I'm on a mission to keep my hair as healthy as possible.
I love hair masks as much as i love face masks. Whenever i use one, i feel really relaxed and pampered. Also, i found the effects of a hair mask are much easier to feel/see than a face mask!
I found this Argan Oil hair mask in Home Bargains for the bargain (hehe) price of £1. Yes you read that right. My expectations weren't particularly high due to the price (shame on me!) but i was so impressed with this mask. I use this once a week now, applying to wet, freshly washed hair and leave for about 5-10 minutes. The texture is very thick and silky soft and it's easy to apply to my hair. I always avoid the roots of my hair and just focus on the lengths and the ends as well as my fringe. It's easy to rinse out and as soon as you touch your hair you can feel the difference.
After using this, my hair is softer and healthier - both in looks and texture. It helps add shine too which is always a plus. It doesn't weigh down your hair as it's easy to wash out. This product has easily become my number 1 hair mask I've tried (even beating the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, which i never thought possible) and for only £1 it's such a steal.
Have you tried this product? What did you think? Tell me in the comments!
Lots of love,
