June Beauty Favourites! ♥

June has been a really hectic month for me. I went on holiday for 10 days, caught 2 international flights and another domestic flight, worked and god knows what else.

While on holiday, i didn't wear too much make up. It was so hot and sunny, there was no point. It probably would have slid off my face which really isn't a good look. I did end up with a couple of favourites though!

First, i have the Nivea Sun Protect & Refresh 20 Cooling Mist Sun Cream (£8 Boots) which helped me out so much in California. There is nothing i hate more than putting on suncream and feeling all sticky for a while after like i can't do anything. Add that to that fact it's also super hot and it can get irritating to keep reapplying sun cream. Thankfully, i found this which while only being factor 20 was great for my legs, arms and torso. It sprays on like a mist, as the name suggests, and leaves your skin feeling really cool and silky. No stickyness! It stopped me from getting burnt too which i suppose is the biggest plus!

Now onto make up, i recently rediscovered and have re-fallen in love with the Bourjois Color Boost Gloosy Lipstick in Peach on the Beach (£7.99 Superdrug) which is a gorgeous lip crayon that has a glossy finish. It's a peachy coral shade and is fairly pigmented (and the name is really cute). It even has SPF 15 in ladies, so wear this by the pool/beach as sun burn on your lips is really painful... It claims to last 10 hours, but i'd say it was more 5-7 which is still pretty great though the longevity decreases the more you eat or drink.

Next i also have been using the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer (£7.99 Superdrug) quite a lot this month. With the hotter weather, if i have make up i want it to stay on. This helps me keep some of the larger pores around my nose area under control and helps improve the look of my make up as the day goes on. Last but not least, we have another lip crayon. This time its the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist (£8 Boots) which is as the name suggests a nudey pink colour on the lips. Very much a 'my-lips-but-better' shade. The formula is very creamy and non-drying and stays on for a few hours before needing a touch up.

Well, those are this months beauty favourites!

What products are in your favourites this month? Tell me in the comments!

Olay Beauty Fluid! ♥

I suffer with dry and dehydrated skin and am constantly trying to find products that help me tame my skin. If like me, you have dry skin you know the struggles. Wishing you had baby soft skin and instead you have this dry (and sometimes flakey) mess. Damn.

A few months ago, i saw this super cute bottle of the Olay Beauty Fluid (£5.99 Superdrug) which i just had to grab. The problem i have is, i hate any greasy feeling moisturisers and hate ones that take ages to sink in to my skin too! Sadly, a lot of the moisturisers targeted towards 'dry skin' happen to tick both of those boxes from my experience. In the Spring/Summer months, my skin is easily to handle than it is in the bitter cold Winter. This is to me, the perfect warmer weather moisturiser for dry skin sufferers. This sinks in so quickly and feels really lovely on the skin - leaving my skin feeling softer than i could imagine. It has a really fresh smell, kind of like freshly washed sheets which to me is quite appealing.

If you're looking for a moisturiser for these Summer months and have normal to dry skin - i can't recommend this enough!

Benefit "I'm Glam Therefore I am" ♥

I was very lucky to be given this lovely Benefit set by my mum recently. I love Benefit - everything from their cutesy packaging and names to their great quality. When it comes to the high end, Benefit is definitely a contender for my go to brand. I've fallen in love with so many of their products - their blushes and their mascara's being the two biggest obsessions.

This little kit has so many products in it's such a great little box to bring on your travels. Everything from blush to eyeshadow to lip gloss and mascara. First things first, the eyeshadows are gorgeous. I've not tried Benefit eyeshadows before but i am impressed. Highly pigmented, smooth and a lovely range of colours too. I've never tried BadGal lash before as I've used They're Real for over a year now, but it does really lengthen and bolden eyelashes admittedly, not to the point that They're Real does but that's a HG product! The lipgloss is a lovely choice of colour - quite nude and pale but it is slightly stickier than i like, hopefully it's not windy outside! Girl meets Pearl is a beautiful highlighter - you can't knock Benefit Highlighters!

If you're thinking of trying Benefit but don't want to splurge on loads of full sized products, you should buy this little kit and get a feel of the quality the brand has to offer as you will be impressed!

BLEACH London Washed Up Mermaid...♥

I don't know about you as a kid, but i most certainly didn't want to be just a princess. I wanted to be a mermaid princess. That's probably the reason behind my having bright red hair for so many years. Anyway, I heard about BLEACH London a while ago as i saw all the beautiful styles their salon created - i was in heaven. I love colourful hair.

While on a super important trip to Boots, i decided to have a little look at the hair dye section and just happened to have blue hair the next day... D'Oh! There is currently a 3 for 2 across haircare at the moment so as we all know, you just can't pass up an opportunity like that and grabbed two BLEACH Products and a conditioner.

I picked up the BLEACH London Washed Up Mermaid Super Cool Colour (£5 Boots) which is such a bargain. Considering i used the smallest amount to colour my extensions, I'll be able to keep reapplying this for a long time.  The formula is very thick and gel like but it's easy enough to apply for the hair. Thankfully, it only needs 15 minutes to develop (although i did do this twice to achieve a really 'bright' colour. This smells quite nice too - like those products that smell like the 'ocean'? This lasts between 2 - 10 washes and comes out more of a seafoam blue/turquoise colour on the hair which i love. I'm so pleased with this and might grab some more extensions and try out another colour!

If you're wanting to experiment with some crazy hair colours, please check out BLEACH as this is just the bee's knee's. Okay? Good.

The New Favourite Nude Lipstick! ♥

I love bold lips as much as the next girl but i also really love wearing nude lipsticks too. Especially when I've done a really out there or dramatic eye look, a nude lip compliments that without drawing too much attention away. I've tried a lot of nude lipsticks - some are too pink, too brown or too frosty...

While recently popping into Superdrug, to grab some last minute holiday essentials (and some gradual tanner too!) i saw this and fell in love with it. The GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick in 134 Light Rose (£6.49 Superdrug) is easily my new most used lipstick. It's pale enough for me (but probably too pale for you lovely ladies who's skin actually tans) to be nude but too pale that i look like i have the dreaded 'foundation lips'. It's soft and as the name suggests feels quite velvety smooth while on the lips. At only £6.49 it's also super purse friendly. It doesn't transfer but does only last around 4 hours before fading. It's got some shimmer to it so if you're more of a 'matte lips' kind of girl - maybe this isn't your thing, but it's certainly mine!

If you want a nude lipstick that doesn't make you look like you smeared foundation all over your lips, i really recommend this one!

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation! ♥

Like most girls i know i hate my skin. I'm constantly searching for the 'perfect' foundation - and I'd love it if that foundation was very purse friendly too.

A few months ago, i purchased the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation in Light Beige (£8.99 Boots). I've found a few drugstore/high street foundations I've loved since i started experimenting with make up but always found one problem with every one. Shade. Even my beloved Max Factor FaceFinity is so dark i look almost orange. When i saw these foundations in store, i couldn't help but think this foundation and the shades looked pretty perfect for my skin.

As a very pale girl, with skin that is prone to a lot of redness and some dullness (especially on my forehead) I'm always looking for a foundation that combats both without feeling heavy on my skin. I also like my foundations to be medium coverage but with the option to build up the coverage if i want. Thankfully, I've been really impressed with this foundation. The coverage is great, it covers my blemishes well enough. I always wear concealer under my eyes as i have very pigmented under eye circles which this can't quite cover alone. It glides on well and doesn't feel heavy on my face. It's brilliant for a 'no-make-up-make-up' look really. The way we all wish our skin would look without make up really! I have this in the shade 'Light Beige' because I've recently started experimenting with fake tanning and this matches really well.

I really recommend this foundation if like me, you're very pale and want medium coverage for only £8.99. I'm on my second bottle now!

Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Life Update #2

Hi guys, sorry it's been so long. With work, my laptop breaking and god knows what else i've not been able to post in a month or so. I've missed blogging so much and i'm glad i've come back to followers, so thanks for sticking around guys. I'm going to try and post everyday for a week or two to make up for it!

It was my birthday last month - i'm now no longer a teenager! Which is weird to say for me. It was a lovely day and i had a great time celebrating it at Slam Dunk south with my boyfriend and friends. I'm also going on holiday in a week! eeeee i'm off to LA. My first time leaving Europe and i am so excited. I'll be buying lots of make up, i know it now and might even make a few cheeky purchases for a giveaway when i get back!

I've also dyed my hair so now i have 'mermaid hair' which i think is really cute as anything.

Thanks once again for sticking around and i promise to be better at posting from now on. Now i've bought myself a proper camera, i might even film a few videos soon which is exciting!

Love you lots
Rosie xo
