Boots Botanics Purifying Face Scrub! ♥

I recently picked up some new skincare items. I suffer from dry/sensitive skin (with a little oil in my t-zone this time of year). As my skin is dry, i get a lot of flakey skin which doesn't look good, whatsoever. It can be hard to find a good face scrub that works effectively but isn't too harsh on the skin.

I haven't tried that much of the Botanics range that Boots offer, just one or two products. I like that the products are all made with natural ingredients. I normally use a facially scrub every other day - on freshly cleansed/washed skin. I've noticed an improvement in my skin since i incorporated it into my skincare routine. The dry, flakey patches of skin are easily kept at bay and my complexion looks a lot brighter. The skin around my nose looks a lot healthier too.  This scrub has so many great ingredients: apricot seeds, walnut shell and cocoa butter. My skin doesn't feel irritated or sore after using it which some scrubs can cause. It has a really fresh scent - nothing too overpowering or damaging to the skin. All in all, it's a good face scrub which i will keep using until I've run out! If you have dry and sensitive skin, i recommend checking this out to rid yourself of any flakey skin!

Makeup Revolution: I ♥ Makeup Selfie Palette! ♥

I recently posted a haul from Makeup Revolution here, which was my first ever order from them. Every blogger and beauty lover has been talking about them and making orders from the new budget beauty brand. We all know I'm an eye shadow palette addict - a girl just can't have enough eye shadow palettes, seriously.

The Makeup Revolution Selfie Palette (£4.99) is a lovely little palette. You get 10 different eye shadows with a mixture of matte, shimmer and metallic finishes. The packaging is pretty good - we all love a good #selfie, don't we? It has a large mirror which is always great for make up on the go.

L to R: #Awks, Goldigga, #Chocfix, Me Me Me! and Check us in
L to R: How many likes, #Club, #Trashy, Share this and #Love.
The formula of the eye shadows is excellent - soft and very pigmented. They last around 6 hours by themselves but even longer with the free eyeshadow primer this palette comes with. They blend easily and the different shades are great for loads of different looks. I've used this for work make up which is normally a very subtle look and even more dramatic looks like a smokey eye. My favourite shade is probably either #Love or Goldigga which are both metallic finishes. I'd definitely pay more than £5 for this product, so this is an absolute steal!

The Lip Addict Tag! ♥

Hi Guys! I thought it had been way too long since my last tag post and this was just seemed so 'me'. I seem to have so many lip products at the moment that i can safely say i don't need anymore lipsticks but i do want them!

Favourite balm/treatment?
Ooh, this is a tricky one for me as my favourite is two products used together! I love using the ELF Studio Lip Exfoliator (£3.95 eyeslipsface) every morning and using the Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa butter straight after. This combo makes my lips super smooth, soft and kissable (or so i hope).

Best eye catching red?
I love my Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang which is a gorgeous fire engine red liquid lipstick. These have been raved about ever since Rimmel released them and i'm guilty of running out and buying at least 4 shades of these. These last for hours on the lips while still being really bright and not transfering either!

Best Luxury and best drugstore?
I'd say my favourite ever 'luxury' lipstick is one of the few truly high end products i own and it's the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in Lingerie Pink. The packaging of this lipstick is a luxury itself but the colour is a gorgeous baby pink which is great for everyday wear. For drugstore or high street, i'd say my favourite at the moment is GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick in 'Darling' which is truly the perfect everyday nude lipstick. It's got great colour pay off and a truly lovely formula that lasts for hours.

Best MAC Lipstick?
I don't actually own many MAC lipsticks unlike a lot of bloggers. I only have a couple! I know, i'm a terrible beauty blogger! But my favourite out of the few i do have is the MAC Viva Glam Nicki which is a really bright Barbie pink in a satin finish. The fact it smells so lovely and it's so pigmented is great!

The Most Disappointing?
As i haven't tried many, i've yet to be disappointed in a MAC lipstick!

Liner - Yes or No?
For bright colours like red yes, yes, yes! For everyday wear, i don't bother as i usually wear a 'my-lips-but-better' shade to work monday to friday!

Best Lipgloss?
This is the easiest question for me. It's definetly the NYX Megashine Lipglosses. There are so many shades, each is so pigmented and lasts surprising long for a lip gloss but they also have the most delicious scent of Cherries! My favourite shade is Beautiful!

Something Extra?
When i was around 16 i used to love Black Lipstick. I used to use Black eyeliner as a lipliner then use my Barry M Black Lipstick... coupled with black eyeshadow panda eyes *cringe*.

Top to Bottom: Rimmel Apocalips, GOSH Darling, MAC Viva Glam Nicki, NYX Beautiful and YSL Lingerie Pink.

Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Ultra Blush Palette! ♥

If you didn't see my Makeup Revolution haul the other week, you can read it here. If you haven't heard of Makeup Revolution, where have you been the last two months?! They are all over the blogosphere with every blogger having to try at least one product from the new budget brand. I did have a cheeky spend on their website - and got a lot of products for what i spent.  One of the products i was most excited to try is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in 'Sugar and Spice'.

We all know I'm addicted to blush, i know i have over 30 and will probably never use up what i do have. But i just can't help myself when i see products like this! This little palette was only £6 for 8 decent sized pans of products. The sleek black packaging looks lovely even if it does make it really hard to photograph the palette well! The choice of colours is great - we have a Barbie pink, a muted peach and a beautiful pink highlighter. Of all the blushes and highlighters in the product I'd say my favourite is the second - the darker, dusty pink colour.  With that blush, you'll definitely need to use a very light hand or risk looking like a clown, it's that pigmented.

It's easy to finish a variety of looks with this palette. You have a colour for a more natural and subtle 'every day' make up or even a 'no-make up-make up' to bright Barbie pinks! The powders blend easily and stay on the skin for at least 6 hours I've noticed.

I liked the addition of the baked pink highlighter as well as the usual white. It looks gorgeous over a pink blush, really adding a fine pink shimmer to help finish a look.

I think this palette is great in value and quality. I'd easily pay more for this palette as it does not feel like it only costs £6!

Weight Loss Update: Week 2! ♥

After rambling on a couple of posts ago, about how i needed to learn to love myself and take control of my eating habits and body I've started to diet and exercise more. I'm not going to lie, i can be a pig. I love takeaways and packets of crisps more than i should. So, here is my first update and I'll be doing one every 2 weeks hopefully until i reached my goal weight!

I've been limiting myself to 1200calories a day which is the safest amount for me as i still like to eat but i do want to get rid of this extra weight. I always have the same thing for breakfast but like to change up my lunch and dinner every day. I've come up with a few meals that are super filling, inexpensive and of course, low in calories. I could never give up carbs so i still do eat these but I'm still seeing a difference.

For breakfast, i always have a pot of porridge as it's slow releasing energy and i always feel fuller for longer and it stops me snacking loads before lunch. My favourite is the Golden Syrup variety which is only 213calories. For lunch, sometimes i have a salad but recently I've been loving all of the Mug Shot sachets - especially the roast chicken one which smells so good! For dinner, I'm having either low calorie ready meals if I'm feeling lazy or random concoctions i put together myself. My favourite meal so far has been: 1 Quorn BBQ Chicken Fillet (88cals), Dolmio Pasta twists (296cals) and NuMe Tomato and Garlic pasta Sauce (76calories 1/2 pot) which filled me up loads and satisfied my craving for 'naughty' foods! Quorn is a great addition to any diet as it's always so low in fat and calories but helps bulk up any meal whether it's salad or a main meal.

I've been doing slight exercise, i started the first week of the 30 day squat challenge but have had 2 days off now due to very achey legs which made walking look very funny. But i shall be starting again tomorrow where i left off! I'm going to start going for an hours walk every other day after work too around a local lake.

I'm also very happy to say that so far i've lost 7lbs! I'm so happy and already people have commented on it but personally, i haven't seen that much of a difference yet in the mirror. Just on the scales!

Thanks for all of your supports girls, it's very much appreciated !

Lots of love,

Summer Lips! ♥

I don't know about anyone else, but i definitely have a stash of make up in my collection that is seasonal. I don't like berry toned lipsticks in the summer - nor do i like coral in the winter. I wait for the nicer weather and longer days to start so i can start using some great products again. Lip colours are a great way of making your make up that much more 'summery'. I mean, on a day to day basis my make up routine stays fairly similar except for different foundations and blush colours. So i like to use my lips to make my summer statement.

One of my favourite lip products to use in the summer is the MAC Lipstick in Sunny Seoul (£15.50) which is a gorgeous glossy coral shade. It's a slightly sheer shade which is great for people like me who can be a bit wary of coral but it's such a flattering shade on everyone. It smells so lovely on the lips and doesn't dry them out. Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart (£7.99) is another great lip product for summer. It's really moisturising and surprising opaque too for a lip butter. It's a lovely candy pink shade which looks great as a pop of colour. It's not sticky so fellow UK girls will know, your hair doesn't get stuck in this! Last but not least, is the Bourjois ColorBoost in Peach on the Beach (£7.99) which i grabbed last year after hearing so many people rave about it. It's a lovely light peach/coral colour which is quite sheer and glossy but looks great on. You can easily build the colour up to be more opaque too while keeping your lips hydrated, protected from the sun AND waterproof. Wonder product!

L to R: Bourjois Peach on the Beach, Revlon Sweet tart and MAC Sunny Seoul

Wet N Wild "The Naked Truth" ♥

Recently, while on holiday in California, i grabbed a couple of beauty bits from my nearest Walgreens. The main brand i wanted to get products from was Wet N Wild. It sounds like a water slide but it's actually a great budget brand. I'd tried one palette of theirs and was really impressed (read review here). So, i picked up a few of their ColorIcon palettes to try out as i loved the last one so much....

One of the palettes i grabbed was the Wet n Wild Color Icon in "The Naked Truth" ($3.99) which caught my eye as a beauty blogger can never have enough neutral eyeshadows, ever. The palette contains 5 shades and as with all Wet N Wild palettes each shade has the correct placement for the eyeshadow embedded onto it. The pigmentation is good in this palette - except the 'Browbone' shade which really disappointed me by barely showing up at all on the skin. The 3 darker shades are much more pigmented than the lighter ones so if you want a new all over lid colour, this palette probably isn't for you. The eyeshadows are all super soft and easy to blend just like I'd come to expect. I personally like this palette as it's easy to create a few easy looks.
L to R: Crease, Definer, Eyelid, Base and Browbone.

For under $4 you can't get better quality and best of all? These last all day. Easily.

Make Up Revolution Haul! ♥

Two haul posts in a row? All i can say is i needed to treat myself! I've been seeing bloggers and beauty gurus posting pictures of their new Make Up Revolution goodies and have been having some serious product envy. I want to try EVERYTHING. Thankfully, as it's all so low priced, i could have a fair sized haul to show you all!

First up, i have the The One Concealer in Light (£3) which looks to me like it's inspired by the Benefit Fake Up concealer with the moisturiser around the edge. I need this as I'm almost out of my normal concealer and haven't tried a stick concealer in a while. Plus, i have to test out to see how hydrating it is for your skin! I got two of their Eyeshadows in Blackheart and Base! All of their eyeshadows are £1 each which is incredible value for a fair sized amount of product. I also bought 3 lipsticks, one being the Scandalous Limited Edition Lipstick in Depraved which is a gorgeous bright purple which should be fun to play around with! The other two lipsticks are in the shades The One (Nude) and Amazing (Pink). Like the eyeshadows, the lipsticks are all £1.

I grabbed Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice which was the most expensive thing i bought at £6. The palette has 8 gorgeous shades of highlighters, blushes and bronzers. Next i got one of the Kajal which claims to be a long lasting eyeliner and I'm always looking for longer lasting make up! I've been needing a brow kit for a while too so i picked up the Focus & Fix Brow Kit in Light - Medium which was £2.50 only! I can't wait to try this out as i normally use eyebrow pencils! Last but not least is the super cute #Selfie Palette which was only £4.99 and came with a free eyeshadow primer!

ELF Haul! Brushes & more! ♥

I love ELF (eyeslipsface). When i first started watching beauty videos, i used to see all these American Guru's/bloggers using their products and always wishing i could too. I never knew they were sold in the UK until about 3 years ago and I've been obsessed with them ever since. The past year or so, i haven't bought much from them but every time i see a new sale, i always wants to go over to their website and spend all of my paycheck.

My haul is mostly brushes as I've been needing some new ones for a while now, one can never have enough make up brushes. A few are repurchases and a few are new buys. First up is the ELF Blending Eye Brush (£1.95) which I've already owned and loved. I just had to buy two more. Their 'basic' line of eye brushes has impressed me so much that i use them near enough everyday. Another repurchase is the ELF Defining Eye Brush (£1.95) which is great for applying an all over lid colour and because of the angle, great at getting into the inner corners, i also grabbed two of these! Last of the repurchases is the ELF Eye Crease Brush (£1.95) which is great for creating smokey eyes.

I've been wanting to buy the ELF Studio Powder Brush (£3.95) for a while and finally did. I've felt it now and it feels really soft so expect a full review on this when I've used it more. Next up is the ELF Studio Small Stipple Brush (£3.95) which again I've been wanting for a while - I've never tried stippling before so i thought this would be a great way of trying it out! I normally use old candle holders to store my make up brushes but it was starting to look a bit boring to me, so i grabbed the ELF Small Brush Holder (£5.95) to store all my make up brushes as i don't have too many at the moment. It feels really sturdy which is great and being sleek and black looks smart on my vanity. I also grabbed the ELF Studio Lip Exfoliator (£3.95) which I've had on my wishlist for so long. It looked so cool and it's got to be less messy than normal lip scrubs! Last but not least, i bought the ELF Studio Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose (£3.95) which I've heard so many great things about!

What have you treated yourself to recently? Tell me in the comments!

Weight Loss: Learning to love yourself ♥

Bit of a personal topic today guys but it's one i think everyone has struggled with at some point in their lives. Weight. Particularly, low self esteem because of your weight. I'm going to be very honest - no matter how embarrassed i may feel.

I've been unhappy about my weight for years, being a very inactive person plus my intense love of all unhealthy foods hasn't added up to having a flat stomach. I have large and painful stretchmarks on my inner thighs and legs which makes wearing shorts or skirts without tights next to impossible. It's horrible feeling so disgusting in your own skin. What started off my latest 'oh god, oh god. what have i let myself become' moment was a photo. A photo of myself, on the beach on holiday in my bikini. As soon as i saw it, i wasn't sure if i wanted to cry first, or delete the picture permanently.

THE picture

I'm 5"5, 20 years old and 168lbs (12 stone). My BMI is 27.9 which is classed as 'overweight'. I need to make a change because i'm sick of feeling ugly in my own skin. How can i be a confident happy person, when i hate looking at myself in the mirror everyday? So i've set myself some realisistic goals to try and get down to a healthier weight.

GOAL WEIGHT: 133lbs

1. i've just started the 30day squat challenge - to start toning my legs and bum.
2. i've started using MyFitnessPal again - to keep track of all the food i'm eating
3. I'm going to try and do exercise for an hour 4 times a week - walking, work outs or running.
4. I'm limiting myself to 1200 calories a day.
5. i'm cutting out junk food and replacing it with fruit and vegetables.
6. I'm going to drink 2litres+ water a day.
7. I'm going to join a gym and go at least 3 times a week.

I need peoples support on this so please, if you have any tips or anything please share them with me!

Lots of love,
Rosie xo

Rediscovered Loves! ♥

I think every beauty blogger or beauty lover has the same problem as me. When you get so excited about new releases and are constantly trying new products - your old ones don't get very much love. I try and make an effort and go back through my collection and see what i miss. I've started doing this every week now, where i go through my collection and find 5 items i haven't used in a while and i always end up falling back in love with them again.

I seem to have somehow accumulated a lot of eyeshadow palettes - i am an eyeshadow palette addict, i admit it. The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (Debenhams £36)  was actually the first high end product i ever bought for myself and my first ever high end palette. I loved it - it had so many different colours and it's so easy to create loads of looks. When i started buying more and more palettes, i stopped using this as much. But I've been using this again for a couple of weeks and i can see why i was so impressed the first time. The formula is amazing and the pigmentation of the shadows is pretty intense. On the topic of eye products, i also rediscovered MAC Paint Pot in  Bare Study (MAC £15.50) which i raved about. It's a gorgeous champagne cream shadow which works great as a base or on it's own. I have no idea why or how i ever stopped using it but this is once again, a firm staple in my everyday make up.

L - MAC Paint Pot in "Bare Study". R - MAC Lipstick in "Sunny Seoul"
Revlon Lash Potion (Boots £9.99) is another product i hadn't used (this one was unopened) after my last tube ran out. It gives your lashes so much volume and keeps them super black without any flaking. It doesn't take ages to come off either like some mascara's i could mention. The NYX Photoloving Primer in Green (NYX £11) is one of my favourite impulse buys. I suffer from a lot of redness in my skin and this primer helps neutralise that as well as making my make up last longer. It makes my skin feel so even and soft too! Last but not least, I have the MAC lipstick in Sunny Seoul (MAC £15.50) which was my first ever MAC product. It's a gorgeous light coral with a glossy finish which is perfect for this time of year!

Have you rediscovered any products recently? Tell me in the comments!
