I know, i know there are a lot of these posts around but this one is going to be about the lessons I've learnt since i started blogging a year a half ago. I've been watching youtube beauty guru's for years now and had been battling with whether to start a blog or not for a while before i finally took the plunge...
Be Yourself....This one is the most important one to me. No-one wants to read a blog that is a carbon copy of others. Let your personality shine through your writing and believe me, you'll have readers in no time. Don't be something you're not because you have nothing to prove.
Be Organised... I'm guilty of this quite a few times but forgetting to post and just generally not keeping up with blogging. Set yourself days you're going to post and write posts in bulk. I always keep a notebook handy to jot down post idea's in and keep track of which posts will be going live which day.
Don't Bankrupt yourself...You don't have to post about super high end expensive products. Your blog should be about you, don't feel like you have to go out and buy every high end release to be a good blogger.
Make Friends...I've met some lovely girls through blogging that i count as friends now. The blogging community can be a lovely place and are into similar things. There are always events to go to and socialise at too so it's easy to do this one.
Connect with other bloggers... There are so many blogger chats on twitter. #bbloggers is 8pm-9pm on a Wednesday and Sunday. #fblchat is 8-9pm on a Tuesday. It's a great way to speak to bloggers, find new blogs to read and interact with each other.
Don't expect everything for nothing... It's not all freebies. Well, it's very rarely ever in the grand scheme of things. If you want to blog because you just want free stuff, i don't recommend it as it's a lot of hard work.
Last but not least, remember You Can't Please Everyone. This to me is a big one, no matter what you do in life, you're never going to be universally liked. Post what you want, when you want. Blog about what you want in any way you want. Be nice and you'll have a good time.

Lots of love,
