♥ Another Update...

This year has absolutely flown by. It seems like it was January the other day and suddenly it's Christmas Day!

It's been a very hectic year for me. Turning 21, moving house, renovating and more. It means i have sadly neglected my little blog for quite a few months now which has really upset me as I've missed it quite a lot recently.

After a few months, i developed a bit of writers block and couldn't find any inspiration for posts. This  blogging 'break' ended up being a lot longer than i wanted.

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and i hope you have a lovely New Year.

2016 - I'll make something happen! :-)

Yet another Update...

Hello again, it's been a while! Sorry for the silence over the last two months. It's been extremely hectic. I moved into my own house with my other half on the first of July. We've taken over this house but it's very much a work in progress. We're renovating the whole house - as no-one has lived here for over 5 years and lots of things need to be re-done.

I'm enjoying this though. I mean, how many people my age get to completely design their house to exactly how they want it? I also love a bit of DIY and decorating so i'm literally having a ball with it. I didn't have the easiest of home lives which is why moving house was a priority for me.

I will be posting some DIY and decorating style posts in the next few months - as it's something i'm interested in and enjoy so i hope others feel the same as i do. I will be posting some before and after photos as rooms are finished.

Thank you for everyone who has stuck around the last 2 months despite the radio silence, i've still kept up to date reading all of my favourite blogs and finding new blogs to read in the #bbloggers hashtag.

Pugs not Drugs ♥

Has anyone else noticed the obsession with everything being pug related recently? i have and i'm loving it. They're adorable. So when i was offered a chance to get a new phone case and i saw this little beauty - i of course went straight for it. I'm so clumsy that not having a phone case is ridiculous.

Iconemesis allowed me to choose one of their cases to keep - and i've always gone for the silicon versions before. I chose the Gemma corral Pug Case for iPhone 5 & 5s* which is currently only sale for only £5!

I drop my phone very often - and thankfully, since i've had this case on i've not chipped it on broken the screen! I always catch myself looking at it and giggling because i find pugs ridiculously funny. Work colleagues who have pugs love it too!

They have a lot of cases currently in the sale now on  so you should check it out and grab yourself a pug case!

Home Decor Wishlist ♥

I'm super excited right now as i'm moving into my new house next week, and i've spent the last few days obsessively looking at home decor. It's my favourite kind of shopping - i love diy and decorating so much - it's an obsession. i'm also quite money savvy so i love getting good quality products for a low price!

Here are a few of the items i'm going to be grabbing!

1) B&M Small Ornate Oval Mirror £3.99 - I love this so much. I want lots of mirrors and lots of white decor in my new home. i'd like this hanging up in the bathroom and for only £3.99 - it's super purse friendly.
2 & 3) New York & Paris Cushions £7.99 each or 2 for £14 - We've already bought some city skyline wallpaper - and these two cushions would look lovely on the sofa. I'm not big into cushions unless i can get comfy with them!
4) Ikea Tarva Bedside Table £35 each - I love pine furniture and couldn't live without a bedside table so i can have my water with me when i sleep.

Update ♥

I know i've been super sporadic recently on here, but i've had a really busy few weeks! I turned 21 (older but not wiser), jetted off on holiday and even managed to go to a festival. I'd rather have a few weeks not posting than put out posts that i'm not happy with personally. But thanks for sticking with me anyway, it's appreciated!

So, i turned 21 on May 29th and i got to spend my birthday in Manchester with my boyfriend and his friends in Fort hope. It was a lovely evening and my very romantic boyfriend had booked us into the Hotel Football which was absolutely amazing! I had a whole weekend of celebrating with friends and family - i wish i could turn 21 every year from now on!

My mum booked me a holiday for my birthday - 5 days in the sun with my boyfriend right on the beach! We were in Santa Susanna, Spain and the weather was lovely the whole time we were there. We visited nearby Barcelona which was beautiful - especially the architecture! I did manage to come back with pretty much no tan though - forever pale.

Last weekend, i ended up spending my day at Download Festival to go and see my favourite band ever. Which is easily my favourite gig now! It was super muddy and wet but it was a lot of fun.

I dyed my hair on Saturday again so now i have bright pink hair! Review will be up soon!

So, thats why i haven't been posting. Watch this space because after this weekend i've got lots of new posts coming up!

EOS Lipbalm 'Strawberry Sorbet'

Hi there! I know I've been really bad at posting the last few weeks, but it's because I've been so busy with work and sorting stuff out for the next few weeks! It's been a long month - i restarted a health kick including eating and drinking better. But also switching up my beauty regime to make sure that my skin and hair is also healthy.

I'm always repurchasing lip balms. I don't think i have ever finished one, it's impossible i swear. I like what Vaseline does for my lips but hate applying it - it grosses me out putting my finger in the tin to get the product out!

Whilst browsing Manchester Topshop, i saw they had an American beauty section with brands like NYX, EOS and others. I immediately had to try one of the EOS Smooth Sphere lip balms - I've been seeing people use them on YouTube for years and singing their praises often too.

EOS Smooth Sphere ' Strawberry Sorbet' Lip balm (£7 Topshop) is a really good little addition to anyones handbag. I love that you just apply to your lips - no messing about with sticking your hand in a tin. It's not too soft either so you don't end up ruining it while you apply.

The lip balm is '95% Organic, 100% Natural and Paraben and Petroleum free' according to EOS which is always a big bonus for me. Once you've applied, you lips taste super yummy like strawberry sweets and this scent lingers for surprising long. The formulation is really nourishing and hydrating but not too sticky or thick. It contains Shea Butter, Jojoba oil and Vitamin E so your lips are getting some serious TLC when you apply this.

If you're like me and are obsessive about re-applying lip balm, you need to try this! It also comes in other flavours like Mint and Honeysuckle too!

Topshop Lip Ombré 'Astound' ♥

I've noticed i always seem to gravitate towards the same brands whenever I'm looking to purchase new make up. I've been hearing great things about the Topshop make up line for over a year now so i thought I'd finally try one of their products. While browsing through Topshop in Manchester, i picked up two products from their line. Topshop make up is really hyped up so my expectations were really high.

The Topshop Lip Ombré in Astound (£) is a really cool idea for a product. I mean, I've seen it on catwalks and by make up artists so it would be nice to try some of these new make up 'trends' at home. In the end though, i ended up disappointed.

For me, the colours ended up being too 'barbie' pink which really doesn't suit me. I also think this should have come with a double ended lip brush for easy application too. The formula is good - it lasts on the lips and is really pigmented in both shades but i personally found it hard to work with. The colours were just very different and it was quite hard to blend them to make the difference less obvious without getting rid of the 'ombré' effect.

It could just be the shade but for me, this product was a miss. I'll definitely be trying on the other shades they have on offer as I'd love to be able to replicate this look at home.

Sigma Girl Sugar Plum Set ♥

I'm always lusting over certain brands that are harder to get here in the UK - Sigma, theBalm, Wet n Wild and Covergirl. Thankfully, there are a few places that do stock them.

Before now, my only experience with Sigma had been their infamous brushes (which i love!) so for their make up to impress me, it would have to be really really good! I've been using the Sigma Girl Sugar Plum Make Up Set* (£22.95* BeautyChamber). This set is my favourite of those on offer as i'm desperately trying to inject some more colour into my everyday make up. You get 4 products - 1 eyeshadow duo 'Organza/Ruffle', 1 Halo Dust 'Tutu', 1 spotlight powder in 'Curtsy' and 1 Lipgloss in 'Saucy'.

I knew i would get great use out of the eyeshadow duo, as this spring I've really loved using different shades of pink as an all over lid colour. The purple s gorgeous too - and used together they look lovely. The powders are very soft and easy to blend. They don't take much building up colour wise - i have to be very light handed with that purple! I use primer everyday so i don't know the wear time without it but with primer, they last all day easily. My second favourite item in this set is the 'Halo Dust' which is literally beautiful. Lilac and blue shimmer? Yes please! It's easy to use and doesn't transfer easily either which is normally my main concern when using anything glitter!

The Spotlight powder in 'Curtsy' is gorgeous in the pan with the soft gold running through it. It is definitely only something i could use in the summer time - as I'm quite pale but on bronzed skin it looks gorgeous and catches the light nicely to accentuate the high points of your face. The Lip gloss in 'Saucy' is really pretty - I'm not the fondest of lip glosses as the weather here in the UK is normally quite windy which means hair stuck to your lips! I have worn it a few times to work where there isn't any danger of wind and the formula isn't too sticky but doesn't slide off either. Win win in my book!

eBay Beauty Brushes ♥

I'll admit that i love buying brushes. I normally stick to Real Techniques or Sigma but wanting to try out some of eBay's beauty offerings ended up with me placing a cheeky order for 10 Kabuki style brushes.

I've heard some horror stories from people about buying beauty products on ebay but also seen a lot of people talk about the dupes for the Real Techniques brushes.

The set only cost me £6.90 (with free delivery) and i was a little apprehensive. I was surprised by how soft the brushes are and how sturdy they feel in the hand - not at all flimsy.  I've used most of the brushes now and i've found them to be pretty good. The bristles don't fall out and they apply make up well. I will definitely be buying more brushes from eBay (though i'll always keep adding to my Real Techniques collection too! I have 5 kabuki style eye brushes and 5 face brushes too!

Make Up Storage Ideas ♥

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm obsessed with watching Make Up Collection videos on youtube. I must have seen every one! I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to organising and decorating though so i love seeing how other people like their stuff to be organised. For me, my make up storage isn't 100% what i would like it to be yet - I'm going to be redecorating my bedroom soon which includes buying a new dressing table so I'm always on the lookout for new storage ideas.

I know a lot of people love the Muji Storage and i like the look of it too. It really brightens up a dressing table having loads of colour shining through. I'm also quite price conscious too so for me, I'd like my make up to be storage in a cost effective but pleasant to the eye way.

Rather than fork out for brush holders, i spotted this lovely mini plant pot at B&M Home stores and snapped it up. I think it looks really cute with my brushes sticking out of it on my desk currently! It was also super cheap at only £1.50. I'm going to buy another i think and separate my eye and face brushes.

Before i changed to my current make up storage, i didn't know what to do with my make up palettes. I don't want to hide them away in a drawer and most of them have such lovely packaging i want them on show. This £1.99 White wooden letter holder is perfect. It will tie in with how i want my room to be decorated and looks cute with my brush holder too.

I also re-use my old Birchbox boxes by using them to hold my 'to review' products while i'm still testing them out. I leave this on my desk so i can reach in and grab what i need easier. Quite a lot of them are themed and the boxes are usually really pretty designs so it would be a shame to waste them!

I'm currently searching through ikea to choose a vanity/desk and other important parts. What is your favourite way to store your make up? I'd love some tips!

Maybelline Brow Drama ♥

I'm not going to lie, up until less than a year ago i just didn't bother with my eyebrows much. Now, the thought of doing nothing to them makes me shudder as I'm constantly getting them threaded and buying new eyebrow products. For me, my struggle is that i have naturally quite dark here but i dye my hair light blonde so any brow product can't be too dark or too light.

When i first saw the adverts for the Maybelline Brow Drama (£4.99 Boots) i was quite confused. It just looked like mascara for my eyebrows - it looked like it would be fiddly. Whilst browsing Boots i picked this up on a whim to see what all the full is about. In the end, i was really surprised by how much i liked this product. Unlike some brow powders, this looked really natural and not at all overpowering. I didn't have to worry about smudging either. I used this as well as brow powder as i found this works best for defining the 'arch' of the brow.

I have mine in the shade 'Medium brown' which is dark enough it matches my natural hair colour but not too dark that it looks strange with my blonde hair. It's easy to remove at the end of the day - and as the liquid only goes onto your hair, not the skin, there isn't any discolouration left over once you've removed it. I'll most likely keep using this as it's so simple but effective at making my brow appear much more defined and fuller too.

Festival Nails ♥

I love this time of year. I also love the Summer even more though especially festival season. I always try to go to as many as i can a year and normally it's around this time that the 'season' starts. I'm going to a couple this year and thought I'd do a little series all about festivals. This is the first instalment in this series, so i hope you enjoy!

L to R: Essie 'Sunday Funday', Rimmel 'Tangerine Tent', Rimmel 'Bestival Blue', Maybelline 'Electric Yellow' and Barry M 'Mint Green'
I like bright colours on my nails in Summer. Nothing brightens up an outfit than a bright, eye catching colour on your nails. Lots of brands seem to think the same way - as i found quite a lot of bright colours i loved.

For me, these are the 5 polishes that caught my eye and I'll most likely be using throughout the summer.

Essie 'Sunday Funday' is a lovely coral with some very fine glitter/shimmer in it. The formula is thick but easy to use. (£7.99 Boots)
Rimmel 'Tangerine Tent' is a bright orange. It's gorgeous and eye catching. Rimmel's formula is very thick and is opaque with even just one coat. Great value for money. (£2.99 Boots)
Rimmel 'Bestival Blue' probably my favourite out of the colours shown. Bright powder blue. Again, the formula is instantly opaque and the thick brush means it takes no time at all. (£2.99 Boots)
Maybelline 'Electric Yellow' my least favourite of the bunch. Yellow can be really hit and miss - this one looks slightly too dark on the nail. Formula is good though - not runny at all. (£2.99 Boots)
Barry M 'Mint Green' my other favourite colour. Gorgeous on the nails - slighter runnier formula than the other 4 but after a couple of coats it looks lovely on the nails. (£2.99 Boots)

They are all affordable with the Essie polish being the most expensive. In the picture above i have 2 coats on each nail. I always wear these with a base coat and top coat to improve the wear time and to keep chips at bay for longer.

April Beauty Favourites ♥

I'm so happy May is finally here. It's a busy month for me as i turn 21 at the end of it. Hopefully i can keep up with blogging this month as i've loved it so much since coming back from my break.

April was a really busy month for me too. I had a very busy month at work and also did a lot on the weekends too. So here are my favourite products from last month...

For Skincare, my most reached for product has been the Clinique 3 Step Clarifying Lotion for Dry Skin (£26 Boots) which i got as a present from my lovely boyfriend. I've been using the clinique 3 step system for years now as it really clears up my skin. This leaves my pores feeling super clean and fresh without being irritated. I've been loving my neutral smokey eyes this month and I've been using the theBalm Nude'Tude Palette (£30 FeelUnique) the most. There are lots of different shades and finishes that it's so easy to create a look with. It's a travel make up bag must have for me. I also pair my smokey eye shadows with nude liner on the waterline and my all time favourite is the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner (£3.99 Boots) which is so cheap. It's really creamy and soft so you don't tug at your waterline at all. This means i look more awake and bright throughout the day.

For me, my go-to base this month has been the Bourjois 1 2 3 CC Cream (£9.99 Boots) which i've reviewed in full here. It feels so light on the skin but gives a lovely coverage and lasts all day. Last but not least, for an everyday kind of highlight i've been liking the NYX Illuminator (£9 NYX) which i won in a competition. It's easy to work with and the shade is gorgeous with subtle gold shimmer. I don't overload on this but it looks lovely on.

Vaseline Spray & Go ♥

I'm glad it's finally looking like Summer is coming. I hate the winter months - i am truly a hot weather person. The only thing i dislike about Summer? The extra skin on show means extra TLC for my body i don't need to do as much of in the winter.

For me, body lotions and butters are an important part of my day. I have to apply these at least once a day as i have such dry skin with eczema. It can be time consuming - but it's worth it. I just hate the sitting around naked waiting for it to sink in part. But thankfully, there is a product out there for impatient people like me.

The Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser with Cocoa Butter (£) comes in a really handy bottle. I always use this in the morning and within seconds of spraying this has absorbed into my skin meaning i can put my clothes straight on. My skin always feels lovely and soft after using this. After a few days of using this, i started to notice the difference in the look of my skin too - it looked much firmer and smoother.

It's especially good for those awkward places that it's hard to reach but you don't want to leave out (like the backs of your thighs)! I've tried the Aloe Vera version of this too which is just as good but i do marginally prefer this one - due to the lovely cocoa butter smell. I've been repurchasing this when i can and i think I'll be using this even more in the festival and holiday season.

Bourjois 1 2 3 Perfect ♥

I'm always on the hunt for one of those ultimate products - at least that's the excuse i use whenever i buy a new piece of make up. I know cc and bb creams have been taking the beauty world by storm the last few years but up until recently, i never understood the appeal. In my experience, they had been messy and with little to no coverage!

But, i take it all back now....

I've been using the Bourjois 1 2 3 Perfect CC Cream (£) recently and I've fallen in love with it. The 'colour corrector' side of this product has surprised me too. normally, these tend to just end up looking chalky on the skin but I've found this does make my skin look might brighter and helps to disguise my redness.

The coverage is a lot better than i expected too. The coverage is medium but build able and leaves your skin looking naturally flawless. It's slightly darker than my natural skin tone but when i apply fake tan it matches really well. It lasts really well for me - applying at 7am and lasting until 8pm even with a gym session in that time. The formula for this is quite messy - and i always use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply this evenly.

Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Body Scrub ♥

This might be TMI but I sometimes have a problem with body acne. I've spoken to a few people and found they suffer with this too. For me, it's one of the first things i'd change about myself and especially with summer coming up i'd like to change this as soon as possible.

While i was browsing Boots i saw the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Body Scrub (£4.99 Boots). I've been using this for a few weeks now and i've definitely seen an improvement in my skin. This scrub easily buffs all the dead skin away leaving my skin looking healthier and looking softer. I've noticed a massive decrease in the amount of spots i have and the ones i already had, were gone very quickly.

It's a very mild scrub so i've taken to using this everyday for places like my elbows, knee's and shoulders. Because the formula is very mild i don't have to worry about anything irritating my skin from too much use. I'll definitely be picking up more items from this range and re-purchasing this when it's finished. If you have problems with acne on your body, this range is something you need to try!

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers ♥

If you haven't seen my latest haul post, you can read it here. I picked up two of the Make Up Academy Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers whilst i was browsing Superdrug. I just had to make a few purchases as it was 3for2 across all make up! I've used MUA a lot over the years and i love some of their products and others i can't use at all.

The Make Up Academy Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers (£3 each) come in a variety of shades - of which i have two. I have 'Aflush' a bright pink and 'Tranquility' a nude. The packaging is a lot better than MUA's regular line - these don't look like you only paid £3 each for these.

The formula is pretty good - the wear time for me was around 4-5 hours (including eating and drinking) before i would need to re-apply. The pigmentation was really good so i didn't have to use too much of the product each time. They thankfully didn't smudge easy as i am super clumsy. I liked the fact they looked glossy for quite a while whereas most lip lacquers seem to be matte.

The only thing i wasn't too fond of, is the overly artificial smell of these.

5 under £5 ♥

Is it just me or does £5 get you a lot less these days? As a kid, £5 was some serious money and would last me a whole day in my local town centre - including getting lunch! But nowadays, i spend more than that so easily! I'm a lover of a good bargain and i would say most of my favourite products are high street/drugstore items so i had a look through my collection and decided which were my top 5 beauty items under five pounds....

NYC Smooth skin Sunny Bronzer (£1.99) - I can never quite believe the price of this. I picked this up after hearing a lot of great things and it's never disappointed. For pale girls, this is the ultimate go-to contour powder that never looks orange and is easy to use. For under £2 too - it's so cheap!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) - A beauty bloggers favourite. I've been using this for years. It easily conceals dark circles and any blemishes without feeling heavy on the skin. It comes light enough for my skin tone too which is a massive bonus.
Models Own Colour Chrome Silver Polish (£4.99) - For nail polish, my favourite two brands are Models Own and Barry M. But Models Own recent release - the Colour Chrome Collection - features this gorgeous nail polish. It doesn't chip easily, looks gorgeous on and is super shiny!
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner (£3.99) - The one i've shown is the nude version but i love every shade of this especially the black. It's super pigmented, lasts a really long time on the waterline and has a great formula that doesn't tug at your skin at all. Best Kohl eyeliners ever.
Maybelline ColorTattoo (£4.99) - Love these. I use them on their own, as an eyeshadow primer or as part of a look. They're versatile, they have a nice range of colours and keep my powder eyeshadow on for longer. They're easy to blend and look great by themselves on the lid.

Spring Make Up Must Haves ♥

Spring is easily my second favourite season, after Summer, as i love the weather. The days are starting to stay lighter for longer and you have those odd lovely days on the weekend that mean Summer is coming! I like to switch up my routines based on the seasons changing - and i always change up my make up bag for Spring.

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Foundation is turning into my go-to foundation at the moment. Medium coverage that's easily build able. The finish is slightly dewy but keeps your skin looking really natural which is perfect for this time of year. I always reach for the NYX Dewy Finish Spray in Spring. Who doesn't love a good dewy finish? This thankfully doesn't make you 'too' dewy or greasy but leaves your skin looking natural, glowing and healthy.

For my cheeks, it's this time of year that i start experimenting with my orange and coral shades again and one of my favourite blushes is the Bourjois Cream Blush 02 which is a lovely light orange - it looks really flattering on as it's nowhere near that bright once applied and blended. For me, i love a good contour and highlight. But my favourite highlighter is the MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle which is everyones favourite. It's a gorgeous, golden highlight that easily lasts all day to keep your face looking glowy.

Coconut Oil Uses ♥

I love multi-tasking products - so much. I love them even more if they're really easy to find and a great price too. For me, a pot of coconut oil is an essential. I have a lot of different uses for it and i know others love it too.

Unlike a lot of other bloggers, my uses are slightly more limited considering i hate coconut oil in cooking. I really dislike the taste of it so my uses are purely practical (but mostly for beauty purposes)

Hair Mask - I warm a little bit of this up and run through my hair, concentrating on the ends and leave on overnight. Once rinsed off your hair will be soft, sleek and healthier looking.
Body Butter/Lotion - Applying a small amount of this onto slightly damp skin after a bath or shower helps add some extra moisture. I normally save this for my knees, elbows and shoulders as this is ultra moisturising.
Lip Balm - I always use Lip balm before i go to bed and i've started using Coconut oil on my lips as it's so moisturising. I always wake up with super soft and smooth lips.
Cleanser - When someone first mentioned this to me, i was skeptical. But i tried it and it easily removed my days make up with the help of a Muslin cloth. Even waterproof mascara and eyeliner came off. Best of all? Because it's super hydrating and natural your skin doesn't feel irritated!

Personally, i love using coconut oil and i'm slowly converting my friends and family into using it all the time. There are even more uses that i haven't spoken about. These are just my favourites!

The Smallest Beauty Haul! ♥

I had to pop into Superdrug to pick up some paracetamol recently, and i still couldn't leave without purchasing a few new things to try out. Is anyone incapable of saying no to make up every time they go into Boots or Superdrug? I'm hoping it's not just me!

L to R: MUA 'Aflush', Models Own Silver and MUA 'Tranquility'
The first product that made it's way into my basket is one of the limited edition Models Own Chrome Colour Nail Polishes 'Silver' i was hoping to grab the rose gold one too but sadly this was out of stock. I love silver as a colour and love it on my nails so i can't wait to try this out. I also grabbed two of the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip lacquers as it was 3 for 2 across all cosmetics. I picked the two shades 'Aflush' and 'Tranquility'. I'm looking forward to trying all of these out!

Beauty Haul ♥

While having a quick browse around Boots while shopping for some necessities, i ended up treating myself inevitably to a couple of things. I mean, who can go into Boots for toothpaste, shower gel and leave with nothing else?!

The first product i picked up is the Maybelline Brow Drama 'Medium brown' because I've heard so many great things about it. It looks kind of fiddly to use but I'm hoping I'll get used to it! Next up is the L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream as I'd heard this is similar to the Benefit's Porefessional as a primer but for a lot less! I also got the Bourjois 123Perfect CC Cream 'Ivory' as I've been told this has great coverage for a CC Cream and I'm on the lookout for something for the hotter days. Last but not least i picked up Essie 'Sunday Funday' which is a lovely coral colour!

My Blogging Routine ♥

When it comes to blogging, i surely cannot be the only really nosey one who wonders how people write their posts? I mean, for me, i have a really set routine that i always stick to.

I like to always be ahead of myself so i always make sure i have at least one weeks worth of posts already written up - just in case i get writers block. I always plan my posts in advance too - i carry a little mini notebook around with me always so i can jot down post idea's and it also has my schedule in it too. I have a 'to review' box of goodies on my computer desk so normally I'll take a few of these out and take photos and edit those.

When it comes to post writing, because i make notes throughout the week, post writing doesn't take too long at all. I always make sure I'm comfy with a cup of tea and my cat on my lap and sit and write for a few hours. It's even better now it's light outside for ages because it means i can write/take photos whenever i feel like it.

I usually blog on the weekend, as i work Monday to Friday so i don't get much time at home during the week. This is the most productive way for me!

How do you blog? Please let me know in the comments below!

Current Beauty Wishlist ♥

Its that time again! Wishlist time. I always keep a list of products I've got my eye on and only get a couple a month - i like trying out new products but i do only have one face to put them all on to. I've had my eye on the items below for quite a while in some cases.

Current Wilshlist

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection - I have the powder brush and the blush brush already but I've been lusting after these since i saw them released. They're gorgeous and look luxurious. Perfect.
Burts Bees Honey Lip Balm - My lips have been so dry recently and Vaseline isn't enough so I'd like to try a new brand to see if it works out - I've heard a lot of good things about Burt's Bee's.
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - Everyone raves about this foundation! I've heard so many good things and I've only tried a couple of NARS Products. I want glowing and perfect looking skin.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - From what i've seen the reviews on this are 50/50. I love They're Real but also have very straight lashes that need help to get a nice curve so I'd like to see if this is my perfect mascara.
NYX Matte Lipstick Pure Red - I think that might be the most gorgeous red lipstick i have ever seen, i need it.

Letter To My Teenage Self ♥

I've decided recently i don't want to just stick with beauty on this blog - i wanted to add a bit of lifestyle and maybe some personal posts too. So, i hope you like this one, it's a letter to my teenage self.

To Teenage Rosie,

Hang in there. It will be better. Promise. I know you're having a tough time right now and it feels like it's never going to get better but it does. Friends don't mean anything if they don't support you, if they don't believe you then they're not real friends. You're not going to know them in five years. You can't help being ill - it's not your fault. School doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. Don't be upset by it - they'll find out sooner or later how awful the past year has been.

don't cry over boys, they're not worth it. Especially not that one. Or that one. Don't jump in at the first sign of affection, there isn't any need. Have fun. Go to parties. Have a laugh and do stupid things. Go to as many gigs as you can. That frontman of the local band you have a giant crush on that you think doesn't know you exist? Well, in a few years he'll be yours.  Don't grow up too fast, you only get a year or two more with no responsibilities. Life will work out.

Only you can make yourself happy, stop relying on other people to make you smile. You're worth more than that, you deserve better than that. Sometimes people deserve a second chance and sometimes they don't. Learn who does and doesn't. Your family are the only people you can count on, and they're getting old now. Look after them.

Be happy. Be kind. Keep up the good work kid.

Lots of love,

The older but probably not wiser Rosie.

LUSH Dark Angels ♥

As someone who has quite problematic skin, i'm always trying out new skincare. I have extremely dry skin that is also easily irritated. For me, skincare needs to be quick and easy as well as effective because i don't have time to apply 20 different creams and serums every night.

One of my favourite brands to grab skincare from is LUSH. Their products are all handmade and made with good ingredients (plus none are tested on animals). I've enjoyed using their face masks, toners and lots mores. But unfortunately, i seem to have found one of the only products i don't like in there.

Lush Dark Angels (£6.75 Lush) is a cleanser that also exfoliates too. This is the reason i picked it up, to help deep cleanse my skin and remove make up while also buffing away any dead skin gently on a daily basis. Unfortunately, i can't stand the smell or texture of this. It reminds me of liquorice, which i've never liked and the paste that it turns into doesn't feel particularly pleasant when applied to the skin. It easily removes all traces of my face make up and rinses off easily. I also noticed after using this my skin was slightly sore and irritated. I won't be buying this one again but will try another cleanser from their massive range.

Everyday Spring Lipsticks ♥

Now that Spring is officially here, we can all start getting ready for summer. For me, Spring gives me a chance to inject some softer tones back into my make up looks. In Autumn/Winter i prefer dark and bold lipsticks whereas Spring i like to go for a subtle or nude lip. This post is all about my top 5 most reached for lipsticks at this time for Spring.

L to R: Nyx Megashine Lipgloss 'Beautiful', NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 'Tokyo', Revlon Matte Balm 'Elusive' Make Up Revolution Intense Lacquer 'More than i could give' and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 'Antwerp'.

If you couldn't tell from the photo, i really like pink tones around this time of year. My most reached for Lipgloss ever is the NYX Megashine Lipgloss in 'Beautiful' which is as the name suggests, beautiful. It's a gorgeous light pink with golden shimmer. The formula is lovely and thick but isn't overly sticky. Another great NYX lip product is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Tokyo' which is a very light pink with a matte finish. This lasts for hours on end - and smells like cupcakes.

L to R: NYX 'Antwerp', Make Up Revolution 'More Than I Could Give', Revlon 'Elusive', NYX 'Tokyo' and NYX 'Beautiful'
Another great matte lip product is the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in 'Elusive' which I'd been wearing a lot in the last couple of weeks. It's a slightly darker colour than the rest - a dusty pink. It lasts well and compliments pretty much any look. I love lip lacquers for their staying power and the Make Up Revolution Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer in 'More Than I could give' is no exception. It's a pure nude shade. The formula is good - staying power is good without any awful stickiness. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Antwerp' is definitely the brightest out of the lot, a bright coral pink.

My Fake Tan Routine ♥

I'm super pale naturally so i use fake tan just to look a more 'normal' colour. I've been using fake tan for the last year or so now and I've worked out what works and what doesn't for me and my skin. For me, i need a fake tan that's easy to apply, doesn't dry my skin out and isn't too dark.

When it comes to prepping my skin, i always shave and exfoliate a day or two before. I'm currently using the Soap & Glory Scrub 'em and Leave 'em Body Buff and pay the closest attention to my knees, elbows, shoulders and chest area. Once I've removed all the dead skin, i apply a lotion every evening after my shower or bath. My favourite evening moisturising lotion is the Palmers Cocoa Butter Firming Butter. For me, the more hydrated you skin is the better the fake tan will apply and take to your skin. I always use a different moisturiser in the morning - something quicker.

I always apply my fake tan with a mitt to avoid any orange hand disasters. I'm currently using the St Tropez Express Self Tan which you leave on for 1 hour for a light tan, 2 hours for a medium tan and 3 for a deep tan. I always go for the light - maybe leaving it on for an hour and a half at the most. I find this doesn't have that awful 'fake tan' smell. It also doesn't dry my skin out. It's easy to apply and work with. I've been enjoying using this and I've had a lot of compliments on my skin tone when I've been using this.

Make Up Revolution I ♥ Obsession Palettes!

It seems as if Make Up Revolution are always bringing out new products. It's hard to believe has only just celebrated their first birthday as a brand as they're so well known and loved by bbloggers.

The Make Up Revolution I ♥ Obsession Make up Palette* (£3.99 Make Up Revolution Store) have 10 shades in the palette. I have the palettes in two shades: 'Pure Cult' which is nude and 'Paris'  which is a nudes as well as some brights mixed in too - like a pink and navy blue.  Like all Make Up Revolution eyeshadows I've tried, it's hard to believe how great the quality is for the low low cost. They're soft, blend easily and have good pigmentation.

i can definitely see myself using 'pure Cult' more because on a daily basis i wear nude eyeshadow. But I'm always looking to add  more colour into my make up routine. I'd recommend trying these palettes out if you love make up.

Products marked with a * have been sent for review. All opinions are my own.

March Beauty Favourites ♥

I say this every month - but is it really the end of March already? I've had a really busy month and it's truly flown by. I've had a hard month with my skin - I've had breakouts then i got a cold and ended up with the inevitable dry skin around my nose. Add in a few weekends away and I'm exhausted.

My first favourite is a new purchase and it's the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation. It's the first time I've tried it and I'm really impressed. The coverage is medium but easily build able without looking cakey. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin like some high coverage foundations do and lasts all night. Big thumbs up from me! Another 'base' favourite is the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer. I've been 'shopping my stash' again and this is one of the products i picked out to try and get myself to use again. It creates a really even base and helps with the longevity of my make up without feeling like I'm wearing too much make up. I've almost used this up and I'll probably end up repurchasing this!

I've been loving the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette this month because I've had a lot of weekends away where I've needed to pack make up that can go from day to night easily. This has been with me to Brighton and Southampton this month. The colours are lovely, the pigmentation is great and like all Urban Decay palettes the quality is great. For lips, I've been loving my nude lips this month. I've been using the GOSH Lipstick in 'Darling' which is the most gorgeous shade. Its a great everyday colour and great paired with a dramatic eye look.

My last 'make up' favourite is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara which is easily my new favourite mascara. It easily curls my lashes, makes them a very dark black and makes them longer as well as volumised. Last but not least is the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion which I've been using for a while. It helps soothe any dry or inflamed skin as well as adding some much needed moisture. it doesn't irritate my dry skin and helps keep my face looking and feeling soft.
