I'm always lusting over certain brands that are harder to get here in the UK - Sigma, theBalm, Wet n Wild and Covergirl. Thankfully, there are a few places that do stock them.
Before now, my only experience with Sigma had been their infamous brushes (which i love!) so for their make up to impress me, it would have to be really really good! I've been using the Sigma Girl Sugar Plum Make Up Set* (£22.95* BeautyChamber). This set is my favourite of those on offer as i'm desperately trying to inject some more colour into my everyday make up. You get 4 products - 1 eyeshadow duo 'Organza/Ruffle', 1 Halo Dust 'Tutu', 1 spotlight powder in 'Curtsy' and 1 Lipgloss in 'Saucy'.
I knew i would get great use out of the eyeshadow duo, as this spring I've really loved using different shades of pink as an all over lid colour. The purple s gorgeous too - and used together they look lovely. The powders are very soft and easy to blend. They don't take much building up colour wise - i have to be very light handed with that purple! I use primer everyday so i don't know the wear time without it but with primer, they last all day easily. My second favourite item in this set is the 'Halo Dust' which is literally beautiful. Lilac and blue shimmer? Yes please! It's easy to use and doesn't transfer easily either which is normally my main concern when using anything glitter!
The Spotlight powder in 'Curtsy' is gorgeous in the pan with the soft gold running through it. It is definitely only something i could use in the summer time - as I'm quite pale but on bronzed skin it looks gorgeous and catches the light nicely to accentuate the high points of your face. The Lip gloss in 'Saucy' is really pretty - I'm not the fondest of lip glosses as the weather here in the UK is normally quite windy which means hair stuck to your lips! I have worn it a few times to work where there isn't any danger of wind and the formula isn't too sticky but doesn't slide off either. Win win in my book!
